A pretty tortoiseshell she cat padded warily through the darkened tmstreets of twolegplace. She was lost, terrified, cold and exhausted. She had been out searching for her long lost kits again, as she often did when her mental health took a turn for the worse. She was beautiful, it was true, and everyone aside from Meadowsong herself was well aware of it. She looked around her, her usually serene green eyes wild with fear. She kept low to the lard rough ground as she crept along, able to scent nothing but the stench of twolegs and monsters and the terrifying smell of Bloodclan cats mingled in with everything. She wasnt a young cat anymore, at around 50 moons, but she was as breathtaking as ever. She had a dark tortoiseshell coat with a white underbelly that spread down her legs and up her chest to her muzzle. She was lithe, but not wiry, and she moved like a gentle summer breeze. Everything about the gentle she-cat spoke of warmth and beauty.

The pretty tortie's soft green eyes grew wide with fear as she whipped around to see the fearsome cats approaching her. She shrunk back, her pelt bristling from ears to tail tip. She wasnt a proud and fearsome warrior too stubborn to admit when she was afraid; she was a gentle queen who suffered from mental decline after the loss of her kits. She was unequipped and outnumbered, waiting for the Bloodclanners to rip her to shreds.

The pretty skyclan queen was padding across the clearing when she spotted an unfamilar Thunderclan cat sitting alone at the edge of the clearing. The tortoiseshell was no stranger to mental decline herself, having just recently begun to pull herself out of the hole of depression after the death of her kits many moons ago. Since then the she-cat hadn't resumed her warrior duties, even though her kits would likely have been apprenticed already had they survived. The queen herself was prone to wandering off in a cloud of confusion in search of her lost kits in the night, and had to be rescued several times by Skyclan and Thunderclan alike when she got lost or found herself in danger in the night. And now, recognizing almost immediately a cat who shared in her suffering, she padded slowly over, not wanting to startle the stranger."Hello,"The pretty she-cat was one of the gentlest souls in all the clans, with soft green eyes and a low soothing voice."Mind if I sit with you?"Meadowsong didnt wait for the other she-cat to respond before she settled herself next to her, tucking her paws under her body and gazing around the camp, not intending to force the other cat to speak to her unless she wanted to. Sometimes just being near another warm body helped ease the pain of loss.

The queen purred slightly, resting her gentle gaze on the other cat. "Im not particularly hungry,"She replied, her voice soft as if she were comforting a restless kit."I just enjoy watching the cats go about their days. I find it relaxing."She motioned towards 2 apprentices bickering near their den, gossiping about toms and arguing about who had nicer fur."And often entertaining."She purred with amusement, sighing peacefully to herself.

The pretty tortoiseshell's pelt flattened slightly, though her green eyes were still wide as she spoke."My... my kits..." The queen stammered, looking down at the ground. By now she had come to her senses and realized that her kits were gone, and that she had been searching for nothing. She rose her eyes to meet those of the hostile cats surrounding her, clouded with grief and defeat. She was sure they would flay her, and there wasn't a damn thing she could do about it. "I'm just lost..." she said finally, which wasn't a lie at all. somehow she had managed to wander here all the way from her refuge in the Thunderclan camp and wound up lost in the dizzying city streets. "Please..." She whimpered softly.

She then gazed at the tom that had addressed them. She hadnt seen him around before, and from all the time she spent watching the thunderclan cats mill about the camp she was surprised. "Thank you,"she purred, her voice low and soothing."I'm meadowsong, of the Skyclan refugees. I havent seen you around camp."

[Meadowsong shook her small head. She knew her kits were gone. They had died back in Skyclan territory many moons ago, and the she-cat herself had helped bury her young. Still, when her mind began to falter and the lonely nights became too cold for her to handle, she found herself searching in a fit of confusion. "I know." she replied, suddenly seeming more like the strong confident young warrior she once was. "Let me go, or do what you will with me. Its no matter, either way Ill die alone and afraid."

Meadowsong's pretty Tortoiseshell form appeared from a clump of bracken. She was pleased to see the toms spending time as clanmates; it warmed her gentle heart. She padded down the slope into the hollow, her soft white paws making no sound on the sandy floor. "hello," she meowed, meeting the toms gazes, her voice as smooth as ever."where are you 2 off to?" her grey green eyes were filled with curiosity, not something she felt overly often. She jist felt young again today, full of spirit and a sense of adventure she hadnt felt since she lost her kits.

//looks good! Ill have to do up mine.

The Skyclan queen turned her head to Copper, her soft green eyes dancing."would you, um.... Mind if.... I mean if its alright with the two of you..."

Meadowsong looked around at the cats who had gathered around and flicked her ears, sighing to herself. "Nevermind,"she meowed, all sense of light diminished from her muted green gaze. She gave Copper one last glance before she padded back up the hollow alone.

The pretty tortoiseshell queen turned suddenly at the unfamiliar meow behind her. She had never seen this cat before, nor had she ever seen a cat that looked or sounded quite like him. She jist stared at the tom, blinking her serene green orbs at him in surprise, speechless.

The she cat turned her gaze on Mossflight. What was this cats problem? Everyone else in Thunderclan seemed to like her jist fine, so it seemed she just had some sort of vendetta out for the Skyclan queen."I'll have you know I most certainly do not have a speaking problem I happen to be quite articulate really."she replied curtly. The tortie rwitched her whiskers awkwardly, embarassed by her outburst. She had stammered earlier because she was nervous of being rejected because she was from a different clan, and after the way Mossflight continually treated her, it would seem it was for good reason.

In fact, had the other Thunderclan cats not gotten on so swimmingly with the pointed she cat, Meadowsong would almost think that Mossflight was deliberately trying to push other cats away. No, just meadowsong. What a bully.
