Of course, Snape could tell she was nervous. His demeanor made even teacher's nervous around him, though it never surprised him until now. But, he knew easy ways to calm her nerves. "Hollin, is it? I knew your mother." He commented, sipping his drink softly, gently pulling a napkin out of his sleeve and gently wiped his mouth with it. "She was a very brave soul. I admire her back when we were in classes together." He told her, not making any indication to who exactly he was, trying to conceal that from her, until he believed she was ready to know the details it their entirety. "Before you ask, I could tell you were her daughter just by the eyes. You have her eyes." He commented, taking yet another sip from his drink.

As Merula sat there, Remus had entered the library, alone surprisingly, having gone in to see if he could find any books about his family and their bloodline, or any clues as to the whereabouts of his older brother, though he noticed Merula. Despite not wanting to interact with her, the kindness in his heart caused him to remember she was not in the Great Hall for breakfast, and he had snuck some food in his robes, so he could snack on them a bit later, though he figured, despite how she was deep in thought, she would eventually realise she was hungry, and quickly walked by her, being as silent as possible, before gently and quietly placing a roll and a wrapped up piece of breakfast ham by her books, before continuing on to find the books he was looking for, taking a sip of the potion the caretaker had given him, thanks due to Snape for brewing it for him, able to keep his hot headedness down enough where the curse of his blood would be suppressed enough.

Snape shook his head as she spoke. "Now I know who to deal with." He thought as he handed her the cup he had manifested for her. "Drink. You'll feel much better." He told her, though he then spoke up about her parents. "And what of Potter? Did his parents abandon him? No. You do not know what had happened to your parents. So, never let hope go. It is something many should continue to have. For without hope, we have no power, and without power, we are nothing. You are a Slytherin now, girl. To give up on a means of power is not of our way. Do you understand?" He told her, though his voice was more lighter toned than usual.

Remus noticed her push the food away, but chuckled at the sight, glad she was at least trying to live up to being the best. Despite having come to library, he had just finished up his private lesson with Professor Flitwick, learning a few new charms. After he had found four different books talking about the subject he was researching, including a fifth one about cursed vaults, he walked over to the table and sat down across from Merula, though only by chance, opening up the first book, a book about famous battle wizards from back when Kingdoms still called upon them, a time where magic wasn't viewed as evil or cursed. Though, of course, as soon as he noticed Merula, he began debating on whether he should try and move or not, though he decided against it and simply began reading the book.

Snape simply listened to her. Though he did agree with her, he was a tad annoyed by the young girls depressing demeanor. He then simply sent away the cup, but he made it easy for her to leave as he stood up after her. "50 points from Slytherin. Do not let me catch you out this late again, or you'll have detention for a week." He told her, though he was being rather generous about this situation, due to the dangers going on at the moment. "And remember, now exploring the forbidden floor. Or you'll be facing possible expulsion." He earned her, walking off to do as he was previously, planning on going to get the needed ingredients for tomorrow's lesson.

Remus, though acknowledging her snide comment, ignored her, though he used the newest spell he learned to cause the food to appear in her robes' pocket. "You should eat. Your brain doesn't function completely without food, as that will be all you think about in due time. And the subject I'm reading on is of no concern for you." He mumbled soft enough for her to hear as she left the library. Despite her not wanting to at least understand him, he could tell, easily, that something was bothering her, everyday.

As Remus watched her leave, he sighed and got up, heading to potions class, not wanting to be late again. Though, as soon as he had entered the classroom, he was confronted by Snape and Rowan, who looked down. "Mr. Thompson. I take back what I said, you're just like your brother. Rowan had just told me that it was him who had caused my cauldron to break. Due to this, I will be taking 10 more points from Hufflepuff, and you will be working with Merula today. I expect you two to cooperate, and I expect you to work." He told Remus, to which he sighed and nodded, and walked over to wherever Merula was seated, though he knew Snape put them together due to them never getting along with each other. "Today, we'll be reviewing yesterday's lesson. I will not help, as you should know this by now. Get to it, before I lose my patience." Snape told them all, to which Remus got up and quickly gathered what they needed, not saying a word to Merula as he began preparing the ingredients as required.

"Be quiet!!" Snape spoke loudly, scaring a few students as he swiftly entered the classroom. "For those who either weren't listening, or were too preoccupied with chatter to hear, I am Professor Snape, and I expect to be spoken to as such. This is not a class for playing like children, or waving your wands like untrained infants. This is a class of science, focus, and intellect, something many of you seem to lack. For today, the potion will be simple, so many of may actually understand it. We will be creating a cure for boils. If you fail this simple potion, you should not be in this class." He told them all, before turning and began explaining to them the method of creating this potion.

Just as Merula was impressed by him, Remus was quite impressed by Merula. Again, they might not get along, but they worked fairly well together. "Thank you." He said softly, blushing a bit at the compliment, due to his shy nature, jotting down notes, while poor Rowan got paired with the same boy as Merula was, who did the same thing as yesterday as he did today. "That boy is gonna cost you house points." Remus said, though he knew Rowan wouldn't make the same mistake twice, so eventually the potion on his end was finished. After a bit, Snape walked by and looked over at Remus and Merula. "I take it you did all the work again, Ms. Snyde?" He asked Merula.

Snape looked at the two, scoffing at the fact that Remus succeeded at this task. "I suppose you both earned 10 points to your respective houses." He said, though he didn't sound pleased. He then moved over to Rowan and the boy once more, only to take those earned points from Slytherin again, but gave Hufflepuff 10 more points, thanks to Rowan doing the potion perfectly on his own, though Snape still was displeased. Remus looked over at Merula, knowing the boy would end up angering her once again. "The book I was reading is about ancient bloodlines of battle wizards." He told her, pulling the book out and opening the page he was ok, which was about an ancient line of blue haired wizards, skilled in combat hailing from the ancient Celtic tribes of Ireland.

As Snape continued on with the lesson, he looked over the students, occasionally calling out the one's talking over him, threatening them with detention if they did not quiet. Of course, he paid no mind to his niece, expecting her to easily complete this task. "Mr. Potter, I do hope you're listening." He spoke out, watching him closely, though he was also watching Potter for many other, more important reasons. After he finished explaining the method of creating the potion, he told everyone to start creating the potion themselves. "And if anyone fails, it will be 25 points from the respective houses. I care little for house points, so no one is exempt from this rule. You may now begin." He informed them, before watching the students gather the needed ingredients.

As she ignored him, Remus simply sighed and grabbed his potion, taking a sip from it, though due to one student accidentally bumping into him, lurching him forward, his potion fell out of his hand, causing his anger to quickly flare up, not drinking enough for the desired effect, his eyes quickly taking on a blue tone as he growled, getting up and went to grab a brush and dust pan, walking over and began brushing up the glass, trying to calm himself. Of course, this caught the attention of Snape, who growled and swiftly moved over to where they were. "What happened?" He asked, his annoyance obvious, though he could tell Remus was too in his head to be even remotely capable of answering, so he turned to Merula. "Did you see what happened, Ms Snyde?"

((I confused myself lmfao, thank you for reminding me, my mind has been all over the place. My apologies.))

Snape soon began walking around the room, watching his students closely, occasionally critiquing them as he did so, though his eyes soon moved over to his daughter, Estella, causing him to swiftly move over to her, looking down as he watched her. "Very good, Ms. Hollin." He told her, though he kept his facade of calm on his face as he moved back over to Harry Potter, critiquing him worse than the others, though Snape's reasons as to why were his own, and he soon moved on again, watching the others once more, his eyes scanning over everyone.

After everyone had finished with their potions, he began taking points away from houses, though it was only Ravenclaw that seemed to lose any. After he finished with it, he instructed everyone to leave his sight, as they were dismissed, though he noticed Albus Dumbledore enter the room as the students left. After everyone had left, he looked over at Dumbledore. "What is it, Albus? I must prepare the classroom for the next class." He asked the headmaster rather coldly, though he held Albus in the highest of regards, seeing as he seemed to be the only wizard not scared of Snape, besides a few unnamed others.

Snape growled softly at the clumsiness of the other student. "Mr. Thompson, to the medical wing, now, whilst I brew you a new potion. The rest of are dismissed. Get out of my classroom." He ordered, watching as Remus threw the broken class away, gather his books, and quickly leave the classroom, heading away to the medical wing, whilst Rowan went back to the dorms to continue looking into the cursed vaults, not letting anyone know exactly what him and Remus were doing. He knew that Remus would need his separate time at the moment, knowing to some extent what was wrong with him, having recommended that Remus find a way to control his anger.

"No, and I have no intentions of letting her know. I would not wish that fate on her. It's bad enough you've asked of me the task of watching over Potter, and playing the double agent with...those people." He said to Dumbledore, turning to face him, a more solemn look on his face, rememberng the memories of his lover and her eventual disappearance. "She knew this day would come. She told me to watch over her. But she cannot know. I cannot risk "he who shall not be named" discovering of her existence. I ask you of this, Ablus. Never tell her who she is. That is my duty, and my duty alone."

((Skip ahead again, or continue with the current situation?))

As Remus walked alone down the hall, his condition continued to worsen, the steam rising off if him as he moved swiftly to the medical wing, his eyes completely blue once again, dodging students left and right, before quickly moving into the medical room, whilst the caretaker, who obviously knew what was going on, quickly moved Remus off to a separate part of the room, giving him more of the enchanted ice he was given by his parents, though she knew Snape, who was giving the potion it's finishing touches, would have to hurry, though she was completely unaware of the new, curious third party.

As Merula sat alone, Rowan walked in and sat across from her, figuring he knew what she was doing. "I know you're looking into what's wrong with Remus." He said to her, putting the book he had away, having to dodge a close call with Professor Snape and Professor McGonagall, who had found his and Remus's friend, Charlie, frozen in ice. "Yes, that potion is meant to prevent something." He told her, before Merula could even ask. "I don't know the full details, but it has something to do with his family. It's one of the reasons beyond the blue hair and gold eyes." He told her, though he didn't sound even remotely friendly.

Rowan looked up at her, shaking his head. "He usually has control over it, as long as he's not angry. Though, I'm aware you're not gonna stop bullying us, regardless. I just wanted to let you know, as a way to let you know about his condition." He told her as he stood up, walking away and out of the class, being met by Remus right outside, who explained to him softly about the cursed vaults and his vision, telling him he thinks it has something to do with the cursed ice. Rowan quickly peeked to make sure Merula didn't hear them, before nodding and followed behind Remus.

"I am very aware of the consequences, but thank you for your concern. I will tell her when I believe she is ready. Though, whoever had put her at risk has earned my ire for all eternity." Snape told him, aware that she would most likely lash out if he doesn't tell her, but he's already concluded she would lash out regardless of the outcome. But it's more of what him and her mother were terrified of: the possibility of going to the Death Eaters, the very group him and her mother had been spying on for years now, as requested by Dumbledore.
