Xander sat his bag on his lap and shuffled through it, searching for something. His brow was furrowed in concentration. He tapped his foot as he searched, beginning to get frustrated. It took about a minute for Xander to retrieve what he had been searching for: his phone. Content with his findings, he leaned back in his seat.

It was then he noticed his neighbor was watching him.

    "Hm? Do you need something?"

Xander flipped through his text messages.

That is to say, if he had any.

Xander had never been the popular guy -- he always kinda just... stayed in the background. The fact that he was no longer human just boosted his insecurities. He had trouble making friends before but now... that was a whole 'nother story. He guessed he should at least try. He had little to lose, anyhow.

"So, uh, how are you guys?" He addressed the two people sitting next to him.

    Xander sighed.

"I dunno if I would say it's boring - per say -- but it certainly isn't keeping me entertained if that's what you mean." The vampire rolled his eyes as he glanced back at his phone for a second. No new messages were on the screen. "Hmm..." Xander leaned back in his seat. "I just want this ceremony to started soon. I'm not a fan of crowds, y'know?" The boy slipped his phone back into his bag, not expecting any sudden miracles. "My name's Xander by the way!" He offered a weak, nervous smile.

[Font=times new roman] It was a quiet day in the facility.

It's shining white walls were freshly cleaned and smelled of linen. Tobias found an odd comfort in the scent. The man had spent the better part of his morning sitting at his desk, reading the books and the drinking the coffee the Abkommen caretakers had provided him. The uplifting fact that he was granted luxuries almost cleared his mind of the shackles restraining his legs. He allowed a second to be used entirely to inwardly thank the fact that he had a toilet. Although.. A window would have been nice too... He shrugged and leaned back in his chair, placing his bare feet on the desk.

He rested his eyes. He needed this. However, there would be no sleeping now. That forbidden luxury was reserved for only when it was completely necessary to retain his health and sanity. He opened his eyes, dissapointed with the lack of relief. He dogeared his book (A murder mystery novel -- his favorite.) and glanced at himself in the mirror. Tobias prodded at the bags under his eyes with his pinky finger, wishing there was a skin ointment that would make them go away instantly. He sighed and pushed his glasses back up his nose. There was no helping his poor complexion. He took a greedy sip of his coffee.

Xander's eyes darted from student to student, curious about their origins. This was a magic school right? That means that none of the other kids here were human.. The thought shook him a bit -- and he found himself frightened of his peers-to-be. However, he powered through managed to speak up (although in just a peep). "Any other... Y'know.." He raised his hands like claws and opened his mouth. "Bleh!"

Tobias pushed his bare foot against the edge of the wooden desk, sending his plain, old chair into the stressful limbo of a tilt. He used his other foot to open his diary. For a delicate task such as opening a notebook with one's toes, precision and steadiness is key. Thankfully, Tobias didn't tend to lack in either of those aspects. As such, the task was completed with the guarantee of success that only comes from daily repetition. He lowered his legs and allowed the poor, old seat to return to its former, four-legged glory.

Tobias brought pen to paper at last. This diary and his books were the only things that occupied his time whilst he was in his cell. Which, in all aspects, was a damn long time. He wrote about his morning -- which started with being restrained to his rarely used bed. That was just a precaution of course. All the facility needed was a blood sample. He never fought them. He was a cooperative and hopeful man. Tobias would continue to provide to Abkommen as long as they continued to promise a cure for his condition. Yes... He would like that very much. To live among normal humans again! That was his dream!

The sounds of doors shutting and opening alerted him to the changing of shifts. Ah! The day staff had begun coming in! Wonderful -- he needed more coffee grinds..

Tobias closed his diary for the time being. The day wasn't over and, as such, he may find more events to record the tome of his life with the passing of time. He chewed on the end of his pen, a bad habit of his, before dropping it into the surface of the desk to await future use. The man stood, gazing around his lightly furnished cell. While he didn't have much (and it needed to be replaced quite often due to unexpected snoozes) he was generally pretty comfortable in Abkommen. The provided him with the security and luxury he needed to live a somewhat comfortable life. Tobias itched his wrist, looking for a way to approach his need of coffee grinds. He supposed the usual way of going about it would work.

However, now that his nightguard had retired for the day to come. He only had to wait for either the day guard or a patrolman to go by his cell. Tobias stepped towards the reenforced glass wall of his cell. Thankfully, there seemed to be someone coming near -- a head guard by the look of his uniform. Now was his chance. He banged on the glass with a balled fist. "Ah, yes! Sir? Forgive me I do not know your name.. Ah! I have a request, though! Come here please!" He said loud enough to be heard through the glass. Tobias continued to bang the glass as he waited.

Tobias stopped banging on the glass when his call was answered. He raised a finger as he stepped back. "Just give me a moment.." The man might as well have skipped towards the singular wooden cabinet in the far corner of the cell -- right by the desk. He opened the cabinet, and scrambled through it, looking for something. "Ah! Here we go..." Tobias stood up, an empty, plastic Tupperware in hand.

The man approached the glass wall. In the center of the transparent wall there was a large, stainless steel drawer that could be opened from the outside. The whole set-up made Tobias feel like that one character. What was his name again... Ah! Lector! Hannibal Lector -- that was the one! The man slipped the Tupperware container into the drawer and closed it so Alex could retrieve it.

"I honestly don't mean to make you feel like an errand boy -- that's not your job... Heh. However, it would make my life a helluva lot easier if you could possibly.. Fetch a refill of coffee grinds for me? Pretty please?"

    Tobias offered a smile.
