Pain and Panic Sketch
Charras and Plot Line
Pain and Panic: Vampires. The world is in turmoil because humans have found out about vampires living in secret, and now, armed with new high-tech machinery and weapons, the human-race wages war against all mythical creatures. Some humans think that the world can be peaceful with both humans and such creatures, and join the other side. All creatures of this planet are fighting for their own survival, but who is fighting for the wrong side?
Main Charras and Descriptions:
Leslie – a sixteen-year-old vampire who has joined the war and is searching for a way to bring peace to her people. She has a hot-temper and should not be fooled with, but if she is faced with a tough situation, she will handle it carefully. She cares for her gang more than her own life. Her short and spiky midnight blue hair is straight and her emerald green eyes are fierce. Her weapon of choice is a simple wooden bow made from the wood of a Nemou Tree.
Gabriel – an eighteen-year-old vampire who has joined the war just so he can watch the humans die. He is rough and cold-hearted, but can be nice without knowing it himself. He has short light brown hair and cool gray eyes. His weapon is a complicated knot of wires that can kill anything with a well-aimed blow.
Ribbon – a fifteen-year-old werewolf who joined the war with Gabriel with the fleeting hope that the blood-suckers will win. He is kind and sincere, and if you are nice to him, he shall return the gesture. His medium long hair is raven-black, and his eyes are a pale green with flecks of amber. He has no weapon, for he has no need of one.
Tern – a fourteen-year-old runaway experiment and shape-shifter. She is shy but willing to do anything if it means survival for her gang. Her animal form is a fox with many pairs of tern wings. This is due to the human's experiments. Her hair is long and as red as a fox's fur, and her eyes are the pale color of a tern's feathers, a light, almost white gray. He weapon is her animal form.
Benjamin – a seventeen-year-old human who has joined Leslie's gang in hopes of this war ending in peace. He is Gabriel's rival in that sense. His personality is strong and wise, and he is a natural leader, much to Leslie's annoyance. He brought with him Ara, a dragon hatchling that can speak to people through thoughts. Benjamin's hair is white, and his eyes are an icy-blue. He carries a small dagger on the inside of his coat, boot, pant leg, and sleeve.
Ara – a dragon hatchling with the ability to talk to people through thoughts. She is sensitive and kind, and very protective of Benjamin. She is a dark red, with dark blue wings and yellow eyes. She has yet to be able to breathe fire; it comes with age. Her claws are white, and she has black fur along her spine, with a single peach horn on her forehead.
Mini Plot!
Leslie is independent and cares for no one, perfect by herself. She travels the night looking for stray humans to quench her thirst on. She always keeps her bow on the ready, cats' eyes darting back and forth, missing nothing.
But one night, under the cover of a new moon, a furry shape hurls itself out of the dark and straight into Leslie. A voice shouts from above and the animal backs away, reveling itself as a raven-black werewolf. On the other side of her, Leslie sees another shape emerge from the darkness. But she lets out a sigh of relief at seeing the form. Another vampire.
The werewolf is a friendly guy by the name of Ribbon, while the vampire is a rough guy by the name of Gabriel. Leslie eyes him coolly, unsure of how he seems to rule over the 'wolf. But as she asks him if he would like to tag along, he agrees without hesitation. Ribbon automatically decides to come, too.
So Leslie and Gabe (Only she's aloud to call him that) become joint leaders, Ribbon following a few footsteps behind. They travel far, sometimes meeting other night creatures, sometimes joining in on hunts. Then the gang finds themselves gazing up at an old warehouse. But Leslie, being a vampire, can hear the screams coming from the structure. They turn away, but no before a fourteen-year-old girl comes running their direction, waving her arms above her head and yelling at them to run.
The girl grabs Leslie's arm and drags her for a while before collapsing on the ground. She introduces herself as Tern, a runaway shape-shifter experiment. She used to be able to transform into a tern, but the humans tested her and mixed her with fox genes. She explained that the warehouse i kind of factory, capturing night creatures and testing them with painful machines. Leslie decides to adopt this Tern, and now the two are close friends.
Gabriel takes the lead, heading south, away from the human's cities. They travel far, and sigh with gratitude when they come to a village of night creatures. What a treat to be able to sleep without having someone stay awake to watch you. And to eat a decent meal. And to finally take a shower.
But soon after the team arrives, a human mob attacks the village and the night creatures are forced to fight for their homes. Leslie and Gabriel grab their weapons without hesitation. Ribbon and Tern change form and leap into the battle.
The village was saved! But while Leslie was fighting, she noticed how a human boy turned on the human beside him and killed her. Leslie approached the boy and found he was one of the humans to believe the night creatures shall win.
She takes the boy to her gang's house, the one they're borrowing for their stay. He says his name is Benjamin, but the instant he says that he is out the door and calling “Ara!” over and over. Ribbon wants to follow, so the team gets up and helps Benjamin search for “Ara”,
It turns out that Ara is a dragon hatchling! Leslie is amazed that a human has stumbled upon this creature.
But the humans know that Benjamin has a dragon, and they let loose a pack of mutations. Mutations are animals that the humans have made to kill off the night creatures. These ones resemble werewolves, but there claws are those of panthers. They have the intelligence of people, so Leslie guesses that they have the human gene in them.
But at a new camp sight, Ribbon is kidnapped by the mutations, and Gabriel, panicked, runs after them.
But Leslie and Tern get him back, and he's a complete wreck.
