Skyler looked at everyone in the bus. They all seemed so innocent, so nice. They wouldn't harm a fly.. Let alone a girl. Then, she looked at the bus. It was rather neat. "I don't know what my parents were thinking. What could happen to me in a bus?" she muttered.

As she sad down, she saw a group of people walking together. One of them, someone with blonde, long, wavy hair, looked at her and made a face. Then, she walked down the last seat. Rosaline leaned towards Ryan. "Who is she? She's so.. mean!" she whispered.

"I see," she muttered, looking at Lorane. "And why is she so popular if she's such a bitch?" she asked, eyes wide. At her last school, everyone got along together, pretty much.

"Hello, I'm Mr.Smith. I'm going to," *cough cough* "Be your chemistry teacher this," *cough* "year." he finally said. When Mr. Smith started teaching, Rosaline got her notebook and started taking notes. As it seemed, that's what she was good at. Taking notes. Sometimes she hated that, but she had to live with being the smartpants.

Rosaline looked up the board, wrote something, looked at the board again, and wrote the rest. "Allright, now-" Ringgg! "We'll finish on our lesson tomorow. Have a great weekend." he said in between coughs. At last! Rosaline stood up besides Ryan's desk, waiting for him. "What are you drawing?" she asked, looking at the paper.

"Well, seems we've got a natural here!" she said, smiling. Then, she picked up her books and backpack. She started walking towards the door. "Let's go, before that horrible Lorane comes for her pencilcase." she said, grinning, then walked towards her seat. "If she find it, that is," she got it and hid it in Lorane's boyfriend's desk. She looked at Ryan. "What? She deserves it, doesn't she?"

"Sure, but I've got to ask my dad first. You know, since I'm new and all. The last thing he would be expecting from me, Rosaline Bonette, is having friends just now," she smiled. "I'll call my dad, I'm sure he'll say yes," then she started walking out, waiting for Ryan to come.

"That's what I think sometimes.. At my old school in Canada, I used to make friends and my dad got surprised every time I presented them to him.. I never knew why." she said, then got her phone and called her dad. "Hi, dad? Hi- yes. Um, can I go to a friend's house, please? Yes? Thank you!" she hung up and put her phone in her pocket. "He says I can come, but I need to be there before eight." she smiled.

They were walking outside, and she looked everywhere around. It looked so different from Canada. What you could see in Canada was pure white. Here, there were more colours. She liked that. They were ner Ryan's house, and she spotted a huge white house with clear windows and a huge door. "Wow, who's house is that?" she asked.

"It's so beautiful!" she looked at it with admiration. They used to live in a house like that in Canada. Then, she turned on to Ryan. "What's wrong?" she asked.

Rosaline rested her hand on his shoulder. "I don't think you're useless," she said, her voice smooth and sweet. "In fact, you're my very first friend here in the USA." She smiled.
