    //I’ll kick it off!

Maggie was happy to purchase a pink bandanna to tie around her Vulpix’s neck. Happily heading into another store, Maggie was immediately greeted by an unfamiliar woman. “Ah, hello young lady, are you looking for anything?” She asked and Maggie politely answered. “Im just browsing,” she answered politely. Her eyes caught on a stunning necklace on the wall. “What’s that?” She asked curiously, causing the shopkeeper to delve into the supposed history of the necklace.

Maggie was admittedly a bit put off by the boy who sounded surprisingly like her mother. “Oh, right,” she replied a bit sheepishly. “Pix!” Came the cry of the irritated Vulpix. “Sorry, Pixi, let me look around a bit and if I don’t see anything else I’ll buy it okay?” She promised the high fashion Pokémon.

The Vulpix seemed less then thrilled and blew a whisp of smoke at her trainer rather grumpily. Maggie waved the smoke away and sighed, “Oh come on Pixi.” She mumbled as she began to browse, picking a few novelty items up. It didn’t occur to her right away, but it seemed Pixi gathered some attention. “Mama! Look at that Pokémon! It kinda looks like a Vulpix!” Squealed a small child. The child’s mother seemed to chuckled and then explained that because Alola was different, so were it’s Pokémon.

Maggie was more than happy to let Zeke pet Pixi. “She loves to be scratched behind the ears,” She told the boy. “Pix! Vul!” Chirped Pixi in response as she sniffed Zeke hand curiously. Her silver eyes didn’t find much to entertain her and she settled on a bow for Pixi and the necklace, but when she went to check out the shopkeeper seemed to jack up her prices because she obviously wasn’t from Alola.

//would it be cool if I made two mares from a different herd that’s population was split and decimated by humans.

They technically aren’t lone mares and they’re actively looking for another herd to join since their stallion couldn’t protect them.

Leanna stood not far off from her herd with her youngest daughter grazing. The grass was sweet and still mildly wet with dew from this morning, a fact the white mare enjoyed quite a bit. Her ears swiveled, listening to her surroundings and when she spotted a few stranger horses in the distance, Leanna was quick to usher Morrigan closer to the herd. Stomping her hooves to get the unruly mare to listen, Leanna didn’t hesitate to nip her daughters rear when she showed resistance.

Morrigan was always the adventurous sort, and new faces on the horizon made for adventure that she found hard to ignore. The black and white mare’s dark golden brown eyes settled on a stallion and his mare in the distance. Was that Cecil? She had never actually seen the stallion, having only heard about him from the other males in her new herd.

With her mother’s cautious insistence Morrigan turned tail and trotted back towards the herd. “I’m not a foal mother, I’m capable of defending myself,” She reminded the elder mare quietly. The pretty little mare inspected Kelpie from a the distance, his display of dominance was definitely attractive to her but since she was still young and inexperienced, Morrigan was not quite sure how to display her interest in him and she was much to prideful to ask another herd member.

Grazing on her way, Morrigan stopped a short distance from Storm and Jupiter with Leanna not far behind. “Aren’t foals just the cutest things ever?” Morrigan asked her mother, whilst thinking of carrying her own one day. Leanna seemed to agree, watching the young filly stand beneath Storm.

Morrigan was growing a bit bored of her mother and she was more than interested in exploring the lands around. With all the nearby stallions, wandering off on her own was probably not the best idea but it also seemed like a good way to test the waters before her cycle started and from the way she had began to behave it was clear she’d be coming into season any time now.

The beautiful black and white mare seemed to graze, using it as a way to move away from Leanna. Steadily making her way back towards the tree line, Morrigan couldn’t help but wonder what lied with in. Her previous herd had stayed relatively far from the others and she still thoughts frequently about the humans who had captured her herd with the exception of herself and her mother.

Kelpie had accepted herself and her mother readily, as they were two more mare he wasn’t related to, but Morrigan couldn’t deny that she didn’t feel particularly loyal to him. Any of the other stallions would’ve taken them in just as kindly and the mares of his herd did little to foster kinship in the curious mare.

Ratkit looked delighted, holding her head high and proud. She pretty little kitten resembled her sorely missed fathe in that moment, her green eyes closed as she listened to her clanmates chants. This was the end of her beginning and she couldn’t help but take a moment to appreciate it.

Ratpaw, as she was now called, turned and faced her mentor, smiling at the tom happily.

    Lee “Rat-Tail”

Lee had been working most of the day moving cargo on and off the ship all morning. Her black hair had been cut rather recently, cropped all the way to the nape of her neck. Picking up her sweat rag, Lee moved to wipe her forehead of dirt and sweat. Glancing towards her captain, she was a bit surprised to see a few more people. As she was instructed to get them settled, Lee happily dropped her work and threw her rag over her shoulder.

Lee found herself sizing herself up to the newcomers. She dreaded introducing herself to strangers. “This a shirshu?” She asked curiously as she approached the newcomers. Her short wispy hair caught in the wind and she sniffed the air, wiping at her nose slightly before dropping her hands to her pockets. “Is it really venomous?” She asked making sure not to mess with the creature not wishing to spite it or it’s handler.

Ah! I’d like to get Lee more involved in this thread as well!

If you’d like to plot with my sassy water-bending pirate let me know!

I’d be totally down for literally anything, and ladies and gentlemen, keep your valuables close Rat-Tail does like shiny things.
