"My name is Applebranch and I have had a message from StarClan telling me to mentor you so will you accept the wish of StarClan?"

Applebranch purred and said,"Great! We'll start immediately with hunting practice in the clearing."

Nightfeather padded up to Wavepaw and said," I'm your new mentor and StarClan has sent me to train you as my sucessor as the heir to the moutains in the west."

Applebranch led Leafpaw out to a clearing in the forest. The scent of prey filled the air. Applebrach sat on a tree root and said," Show me what you can do,"

"Right now of course," meowed Nightfeather.

Applebranch's eyes glowed with approval. "Good," she said,"But you were lucky because the prrey scented you. You were downwind instead of upwind."

"Follow me," she said leading the way into the reeds.

"It's ok," Applebranch purred.

A strong black cat walked up to Whitesun even though the cat had just been appointed an apprentice The muscle underneath her pelt was obvious. "I'm Nightpaw," she said.

Nightpaws cool silver flecked blue eyes betrayed nothing as she padded out of the camp behind her mentor. Her excitement was betrayed though by a bounce in her step.
