Dimstar padded up to the pile of fresh-kill and picked a plump mouse from the top.

Whisperpaw sat just outside of the den, her eyes closed. Her ears perked. Her nose twitched. She almost seemed at peace, but her fluffy tail was curled up in frustration and her eyebrows were burrowed.

Whisperpaw's eyes shot open and her fur stood on end. She whipped around and came face-to-face with her mentor. She let out a yipe and jumped back, falling onto her back. Then she scrambled up and stared wide-eyed at Doveflight."Doveflight!"She explained."You know better than to do that!"

Ooc: Can Doveflight be the only cat to know of Whisperpaw's powers?

Whisperpaw snorted and muttered something to herself."Typical."Then she followed.

"Yes, Doveflight."Whisperpaw hissed, rubbing her ear with her paws. She went into the den and started to sort the herbs. She threw the rotten herbs in a pile to the far left, while she made different piles of each other herb.

Yayz. Do we RP here?

Palewood stared around the clearing, wondering who to put on patrols. He had taken matters into his own paws when Redfang had'nt shown. His eyes met Snowdrop's distinct pelt for just a second before darting away. Then he made up his mind. He got up and called."Echocave! I want you to lead a border patrol. Take Frecklesplash and Leafwind with you. Snowdrop, you and I are going hunting. Anyone else who is not on a patrol may go with us."

Frecklesplash perked at her name. She then got up and padded to the entrance.

Whisperpaw got up, leaving the herbs. She poked her head outside of the den. She saw that nobody was looking. So she disappeared back inside and went to the far side of the den. She took one more glance around before crouching low and parting the moss that was growing there. A small hole was there in front of her, black and yawning. Whisperpaw squeezed through the small opening. She let the moss fall back down behind her. Then she strained her eyes to see in the dark. She expertly followed the tunnel until it lightened. Different tunnels branched off to the sides. Before she knew it, the medicine cat apprentice was in a wide cave. Voices seemed to echo around the cave. A small hole was curved in the roof, letting some light through. Where the light showed on the ground, a small underground pond shimmered. Rocks lined the outside of it. Whisperpaw glanced behind her. Then she padded up to the lake and layed down on the pebbly shore. She touched her nose to the water and stilled her breathing. Nobody but her knew about this whispering cave, and nobody but her ever would. It was her cave. Her large puddle. Her rocks. Everything there was hers. Whisperpaw's tunnels.

Dimstar streatched and yawned. Again. His life was become more and more settle with each passing moon.

Palewood looked around before padding out into the forest.

Frecklesplash glanced around frantically."Wait!"She exclaimed."Where's Leafwind?"

Palewood went deep into the heart of their territory. Once he thought he was faraway from any distractions, he turned to his hunting partner."Snowdrop..."He began, taking a deep breath."Before we get going...I wanted to say a few things."

Frecklesplash continued looked around."Um...I don't know. LEAFWIND!!!"

Palewood took another deep breath."Have you ever...felt like...you couldn't express your feelings to someone without messing up?"

Frecklesplash frowned."Leafwind!"She called again."We need you!"

Palewood hesitated for a second. Then he continued."Well...that's how I feel about you, Snowdrop. I love you. I want to live my life with you at my side."His voice was barely a whisper by the end of that speech.

Frecklesplash sighed."We'll have to go on without him. Maybe we can get Redfang to come instead..."She glanced at the second Deputy.

"Oh..."Her voice faltered a bit and she looked back up at the stars."You know, I used to belong to a Clan...it was so great...but now I'm all alone. My Clan died off. My mother was the Leader, and she said I had a great future. But what's so great about my life now? The last of my kind, I am. I'm special, you see?"She reached a paw up and brushed the lock of fur away, revealing her special mark.

A few minutes later, Whisperpaw emerged from the tunnel. She saw Doveflight and gasped. Had she seen her come out of her tunnel?

Dimstar smiled when he saw Duskwater and Lionheart. It must be great to have a mate... He thought.

Frecklesplash let out a purr when she saw Leafwind."Well, maybe you should stop sleeping like a badger with a full belly!"She meowed, playfully prodding him.

Palewood smiled and brushed his cheek against hers."Now, that wasn't so bad. Come on, let's go hunting."He whispered before getting up.

Frecklewish purred and pulled in beside him."So you're calling my brother a she-cat."She teased.
