Riva took a threatening step towards the counter, her eyes flickering breifly to their true form. she spoke in a strained whisper, "listen here kid, I don't have time for your-" but before she could finish a hand slid around her hip, slightly catching her off guard. "Ay, sweetheart we better get moving, as I'm sure you have noticed an unwelcome guest here." She calmed slightly as she recognized the voice. She took a glance behind her at the dov, then gave a slight glare at the man behind the counter. Sinclair put a little more pressure on her side to guide her away from the counter towards the exit. Urgency was of the outmost importance here and it was only a matter of time before they were identified as possible witnesses to the scene that was about to unfold. Several steps later they were walking down the side walk away from the shop, with the large henchman following obediently behind. As they waked they passed a young man, all alone and helplessly bound to his thoughts. He was a rather easy target considering his guard was down and he would be outnumbered 3 to one. Riva looked in the young man's direction only to be dragged away more forcefully by Her partner. "Now's not the time love"

Takuma sat lazily at a bar, nursing a beer he had just opened even though technically it was illegal to drink while on the job. His phone lit up several times, then began to buzz on the table. Getting annoyed at the disturbance he finally picked up the phone to see that it was a call from HQ. Hurridley he answered the phone, and was hastily informed of an incident near him in the 20th ward. "Well Sh*t" he hissed under his breath as he ran to his car outside, leaving his newly opened beer. The engine reved as w slammed the door shut and sped off down the street to where two doves were supposedly in a fight between two one eyed ghouls. "Things really have gone to sh*t these days with all these dammed ghouls out now! Who the h*ll ever heard o TWO one eyes ghouls out? I'be never even seen one, and man, I really wished I didn't have to" he angrily growled as he frantically dodged passing cars.
Sinclair was unlocking the back door to their small restaurant which was located in the greasy back ally ways of the lower class shops. Once inside he emediatley headed for the back room, his office, with Riva right behind. "Riva dear, we need to talk," he said slightly exasperatedly. "Of course. I'm guessing its on the subject of tht dove?" He nodded as he slouched back in his big leather chair, simultaneously pulling out a cigar to light. After a long drag he exhaled smoke as he spoke, "I don't like how close the doves have been coming. But we have no control over big time ghouls like the one eyes ones or that Setsuna girl, so if they cause a fuss It will effect us either way. Do you still have your mask? The one I gave you?" She noded, although she never wanted to have to use it, afraid of dirtying it. "Do we really need to start wearing them after all this time? We really only used them for big time moves. I'm not sure we really need to do anything about it yet, as it would draw even more attention to the twentieth ward which is the last thin we want. Just let those other ghouls get caught, that would be the best plan of action." He nodded, stretching his feet up onto the desk. On impulse he slammed his cigar into the ash tray, and got out of his chair. "I'll be out for a while love, watch the club for me?" "Alright, Riva sighed. He really was acting quite strange these days, but then again he had alot on his mind. "Be safe, she whispered, but the door had already shut.

Takuma slammed his brakes as soon as he saw smoke over the ally only about 15 feet away from him, and a whole lot of loud crashes. He himself was so terrified that he was debating just driving back to the bar and drowning himself in alcohol, but some kid was just staring blankly at the commotion, and right in the spotlight for the two one-eyed ghouls. He hoped out of his car, breif case in hand, and quietly slunk towards the ally way, reluctant to join the fight. His orders were to go aid the two doves at the scene, but he thought they could easily handle things themselves, so instead of jumping head on into the fray, he decided he would wait and watch a little bit. But then he realized there were no doves in the area. Ten thousand thoughts flashed through his head, "WHERE ARE THEY", "I'M GOING TO DIE HERE", and "WTF" were only a few. But now he realized that as a protector of the people he needed to get that noob just standing there away from danger.
Sinclair's stride quickened, his long legs stretching over the gray pavement as he followed a very pungent scent. He quickly realized that the way he was walking was back towards the book shop, and before long he found the sources. It was the same two ghouls walking together in the opposite direction. And oh goody, the dove he had seen before was casually walking a few lengths behind them as well. But it was too late to just turn around suspiciously and walk away, as he thought he felt the eyes of the dove, and his partner on him already. Hopefully no one would stop him and make a scene, so to avoid confrontation he averted his eyes to the ground as he walked on.

"No problem", Sinclair grunted as he continued his path down the side walk. Those two ghouls were going to be so surprised when they looked behind them. But that wasn't his problem so he just kept his head low and kept on walking.
Takuma quickly unlocked his brief case, pulling out an ukakau type weapon. He definitely wasn't adept at combat, but with this he could use it to basically fly very quickly, but only for a short time. After attaching it to his arm, he waited until the two one-eyed ghouls were distracted with one another again. He darted out into the alley, and grabbing the scared stiff boy. "Its ok kid, I got you," he grunted as he made a split for the opening of the alley, quickly running to the car, and throwing him in. He took a quick glance back to see several large chunks of cement falling from the buildings around. If he wasn't there, that moron would have been meat paste. "I'm awesome" he breathed under his breath, slamming the pedal down, and speeding off to the closest bar he knew of. He needed a drink after that, and that kid probably did too.
-
Takuma barely heard what the kid had said as he beeped angrily at the car that just cut him off. "You drink?" he partially shouted to the back seat. "I'm taking us to this hole in the wall bar a friend of mine owns. You'll love it! Booze, women, and all that kind of stuff. "
Sinclair walked into the door of his bar, stone faced. He didn't realize exactly how many doves were around now, and it was only a matter of time before they started showing up at his door.

Takuma hopped out of the car, pulling Kyou with him. Before they walked in, he straightened kyou up, giving him a pat on the shoulder. Inside the lights were dim, and a beautiful waitress walked up to the group. Immediately Takuma striked up a conversation with the girl, like he was a usual here, leading her to the bar, and leaving a dizzied Kyou on his own. You couldn't expect much from Takuma, he had always been a character, and a shameless flirt.
Sinclair had finally gotten back. He was resting in a back booth, his feet propped up on a low table. Riva was next to him, his head in her lap, as she fiddled with his hair. "Dear, you need to relax, your getting more lines on your forehead." "mhm sure," he grunted in response. "Excuse me sir, Takuma is here today, and he brought a friend with him" gently whispered one of the waitresses, as she gently opened the curtain. Sinclair sighed, "I'll see him then". Sinclair sat up lazily, and straightened his suit. Riva hooked her arm in his, and elegantly led him out of the booth. "Let meet this young fellow that Takuma has befriended."

"What a sight for sore eyes, Takuma, I haven't had the pleasure of seeing you at my club in ages"
Takuma recognized the owner of this sarcastic voice, and turned around immediately to respond with a friendly hello. "Hey there man how's it been? And a hello to the forever lovely Madame of the club, Ms. Riva, how have you been?" Already it was apparent that Takuma's earlier anxiety was easing in the presence of such a warm and exiting place. "I brought along a stragler I rescued earlier, oh man I gotta tell you all about it! It was insane! But first, this stragler here is...what's your name again kid?" Takuma gave an unintentionally heavy handed pat to the kid's back.
-
"Well its nice to meet you Kyou, welcome to our club. Go ahead, make yourself at home," Sinclair said warmly, well as warmly as his grumbly, monotone voice would allow. Even though his demeanor was rather cold and a little threatening, it was apparent that he what he said was genuine by the slight softening of his stony face. "If your a friend of Takuma's your a friend of ours as well," Riva chimed in. Immediately after all the introductions were over, Takuma began jabbering about his heroics earlier. He was getting very charismatic with it, almost spilling his beer as he waved his hands in the air, poorly mimicking the fight between the ghouls. Some of the waitresses were all gathered around him as they ooh-ed and ahhh-ed at his theatric retelling. Even Sinclair chuckled at his antics, and then Riva decided to join in on the fun too, making some playful remarks about his exaggerated account of the events earlier that day.

Riva noticed Kyou was distancing himself from the loud group, and looking slightly uncomfortable. He looked to be a shy kid, and it wasn't very good of a hostess to let the guest just sit idle by themselves. After Takuma was on his third mug of beer, she gave him a pat on the back as he slumped against the bar counter, still shamelessly chatting up the other hostesses. "Isn't he a cute one?" she said pointing in Kyou's direction, "I just wanna eat him up. But he looks rather lonely all by himself, so why don't we give the poor kid some company. After all we are the hosts, and he's probably scared sh*tless after that fight between the two one-eyed ghouls." Sinclair gave a nod, as he was done entertaining his drunken friend for some information on the one-eyed ghouls. The pair walked over to the booth Kyou was in and took the seat across from him. "Hey Kyou, you seem like a nice guy, why don't we get to know one another a little bit better?" Riva said with a friendly smile. Sinclair sat beside her stone faced but attentive none the less. "Tell us a little bit about your self, where are you from, what do you do, you know, stuff like that." To a stranger the trio would have probably looked quite friendly with one another, when really there were two scary mafioso ghouls who were complete strangers to the kid sitting across from them. But Riva didn't care, as she was starting to take a liking to this innocent and timid human being, like he was a puppy she felt she should shelter. Sinclair even noticed this slight change in her behavior, making a small smile appear on his face for a moment.

"Oh, well Sinclair and I run this club together, as you probably figured out. We met when uh... well that's a long story," Riva stammered, a little flustered. She was taken aback not only that Kyou wanted to know about them, but that she realized that she almost told him about their past, and to explain that to him would have revealed that they were ghouls. Who eat people. And revealing that was the last thing she wanted to do. "but anyways, Takuma over there is a good friend of ours, who helps us out every once in a while, and is also our best costumer. He can be a little over bearing but he means well. Mostly." At that remark, the corner of Sinclair's mouth twitched up and a slight "hmph" escaped his lips. Already it was getting quite late, even for club hours, and Kyou was looking like he was starting to fade. "It's been a long day for you Kyou, I'll call over Takuma to take you home then. But please come back and visit some time, you're always welcome!" Takuma was so drunk that he could barely remember what had happened earlier, but he did offer to make a call to the office to send over a car. Who knew a dove would be most handy for taxi service? "We'll send someone right over Takuma, but seriously STOP GETTING DRUNK OFF YOUR A**". That last part was so loud the others could hear it, causing some of the waitresses to giggle at him. "Yeah yeah what..a..a..what? was I doniNg AgaIn?" But before he could even get out a rebuke he was back at shamelessly flirting with the girls around him. "Anyways, we're closing up shop, but your welcome to wait until your ride gets here Kyou," Riva gave him a pat on the back, then headed off down one of the hallways to the back offices. Sinclair followed behind after giving him a nod and a pat on Takuma's shoulder. "Take it easy now," he said, glancing to Kyou, then Takuma," the both of ya," and off he went.
