"Oh geez, she's not going to try to EAT us!!?? Will she?" asked Callingjay not sure weather or not to be amused or scared.
Pete was walking down the dark, dark hallways of his boring old school, Penton middle school. At first it had been a normal, hot, and sleepy day. He was a normal student, with about a B average. Then the power had gone out. It was winter so there was no light outside at this time of day, it was pitch black. The emergency lights had been broken and re-placed, only to be broken again. This was a “bad” school as some might say. So the teachers wouldn’t let the kids leave the rooms in fear that someone might get hurt. So school had been pretty boring after all. When school ended they dismissed us class by class. VERY slowly. Finally he made it out and into the lighter outdoors. He went home and that was the end of it. The next day he got a text in the morning saying, “When the power goes out. Run,” it had been forwarded to all the kids in the school, except for the brainy tattle tales. Pete had a feeling this was going to end badly. But he didn’t want to get bullied for being to scared to run. The next day, school went as usual until around right after lunch, when Bruno Bully, as he calls himself, left and hit the power box with a hammer, therefore cutting the electricity. All the kids bulted to the door as one, the teachers were baffled. It was shear pandemonium. Pete was desperately trying to find a way to escape the madness. You could see nothing but murky blackness and the occasional glint of light somewhere. The sound of squeaking shoes, screaming, yelling, and loud thuds of hitting the ground, filled the air. The next moment Pete was stabbed with a sharp knife and dumped in a garbage can. All the solid metal doors locked. There was NO WAY OUT

The library was a farly large room with a few smaller office rooms and good hiding places. It was most probilly the safest place in the school

Callingjay follwed wings accasaoly beating, she prefered to glide. Lost in thought she bent lower and smammed into a tree "OWCH" She skwacked. Then flew back up with the group

Cali carcully opeaned the door. She wasn't surprised to not see or hear anyone, the library was the farthest down a long hallway, and not many would go far. She heard a wimper from the side of the room. She paused, looking toard the area of the sound.
"Hello?" she called, "I won't hurt anyone."
