Shiori grinned as he started backing up towards the front of the store. Luckily, he could work around the bookstore too instead of being trapped behind the counter."I'll try to make my way over here some during my shift too." He wasn't really sure why he was so enthralled with this girl, he'd dated plenty of people before. Besides, they didn't exactly get off on friendly footing the night before. He pushed the thoughts from his head as he put on his little name tag and began helping customers.

Kyou yawned loudly as he turned the corner onto the street, he decided he should probably pick up a coffee to keep him from falling asleep where he stood. He spotted Seto, and contemplated saying Hi, but decided against it. He didn't really want Seto to see him with his messy hair and dark circles under his eyes. He made his way towards the coffee shop as unnoticeable as possible, shoving his hands into his pockets and avoiding eye contact.

Gemma kept facing forward, her hands in her pockets. Her eyes flicked towards Allison, "I've known him long enough." She spoke curtly, the tension of the situation with Ekain still affecting her. "Don't worry about him though, he'll get over it quickly." She knew her attempt at comfort was lacking, but she didn't usually comfort people anyways so this was a step up for her.

Shiori hesitated a moment, a flicker of fear passed over his eyes. He knew who this was, he'd seen her here before, usually with a guy in a suit. Whenever they'd come the boss wouldn't let the workers into the office until they had left, and once they did leave, the manager always looked very unnerved and wide-eyed. "Um, I'm sorry but they don't give us the keys to the manager's office. Maybe you could come back when he's here?" He lied, and he hoped it would hold up. Even though the girl's eyes looked innocent now, they still felt like they were burning holes into his skin.

Kyou continued on down the street finishing his coffee and tossing it into a nearby trashcan. He thought he heard a crash coming from somewhere, but he figured it was just his imagination playing tricks. He wandered down the street, dawdling a little to look through shop windows here and there. He was supposed to be getting groceries, but he didn't really want to have to carry them all the way back home.

Kyou looked cluelessly on as the odd trio passed. The girl's glare freaked him out a little. He was pretty sure he'd never done anything to her that would warrent a reaction like that, let alone that he'd never actually seen her before. He shrugged it off. Mabye he just looked like somebody she knew.

Shiori realeased a breath he didn't know he was holding. I got lucky this time. His body relaxed a little. He wasn't sure why that guy had pulled her away, usually he was with her when they came to harass his manager. He recognized the reason in the form of a silver suitcase. He tensed again, mabye it was about time he took his break and got Setsuna and himself the heck out of here.

Shiori fumbled with his nametag, pulling it off and shoving it in the drawer under the counter. "I'm taking my break now." He didn't bother to hear his co-worker's answer as he walked, swiftly at first, then slower as he neared the dove. He forced a convincing smile, as he gently tapped Setsuna's shoulder. "Hey I'm taking my break now, do you wanna go eat some place?" He asked, pretending to ignore the dove that stood only a few feet away.

Shiori followed along, walking a little faster to keep up with her. "Setsuna calm down." His voice was gentle but urgent." You look suspicious." His eyes scanned the area quickly, though he didn't see where the dove went. They passed by a kid who looked like he hadn't slept very well, though Shiori didn't really notice many other off-looking people.

Kyou saw what he guessed was a couple, though they looked kinda hurried. What is up with people today? Bunch of weirdos. He thought, slightly exasparated. It felt like he was missing out on something that everyone else knew about.

"To tell you the truth, I'm actually a little shaken by the Dove thing too. They won't miss me too much at work." Shiori laughed a little to ease the tension. He pulled out his phone and hastily texted to his coworker, turning his phone on silent when he was done. He didn't really want to be bothered by them if they texted back.

Kyou heard the loud crashes nearby. Maybe they're building a new mall over here? That would explain the noise. He was curious as to what they were building, he might have to visit there sometime after it's done. As he turned the corner to peak, his eyes widened in horror and he realized immediately that there was no building project going on, though they probably would need to remodel after they saw the damage. Instead there were two ghouls, even worse, they were covered in some kind of armor and looked extremely powerful. His breath hitched in his throat and he willed his legs to move, but they felt as though they were glued to the ground.

"She said she would be back at the bookstore later, but the doves could be waiting for us back there. Do you think she's worth the risk?" He asked, his voice serious. He wasn't really sure about that girl, and anyways, the doves wouldn't be able to just know she's a ghoul the moment they see her.Leaving her can't be that bad right? He tried to convince himself he was right.

Kyou tried to cover the small gasp that escaped his lips, but he was afraid he did a poor of it. He stepped back and pressed his back to the side of the wall the ghouls wouldn't be able to see. He could hear his heartbeat pounding in his ears, and was afraid that the ghouls could as well.

After sitting himself upright Kyou sat dazed and confused, holding on for dear life as the man who just pulled him into his car sped dangerously down the road. He noticed the quinque the man had, which makes him CCG. Good. I'm not being kidnapped. "Thank you!" He tried to yell over the screeching of the tires on the pavement."Can I ask where you're taking me?"

Shiori blinked, a little taken aback by her change in tone. "We can work on that though, you're the first ghoul I've met in a while that's befriend-able. Here, I'll start"-He added to cheer her up some."-When's your birthday?" He focused intently on her, curious.

Shiori stumbled a little as he was tugged after Setsuna. He quickly registered the situation and with a blink his eyes turned black and red. He withheld using his bikaku yet, it could slow them down as they ran. "D*mn Doves." He hissed under his breath. His eyes darted around, looking for an easy way out. There were some apartment escape stairs he and Setsuna could scale much faster than the Doves and he headed towards them, motioning to Setsuna to follow.

Shiori lurched backwards as Nich's hand tugged sharply on his shirt. He stumbled a moment, but quickly righted himself. In a flash of blue and yellow his bikaku released and swiftly slashed at Nich's arm, the two yellow points hardening into sharp points.

Kyou held on to the seat as the car swerved precariously, tires screeching on the black asphalt. His head was getting a bit dizzy from the jerking movements and he could hardly focus on anything but keeping himself upright, let alone answer. He was beginning to doubt that this guy was actually certified at all.

Shiori hurriedly blocked with his arm, cringing at the force of the punch. That's gonna leave a bruise. He thought inwardly as he leaped backwards, out of reach of Nich's leg, red eyes watching carefully for any signs of weakness. He noticed Nich's pant leg was stained in blood, and by the smell of it, it was his own. Perfect. His bikaku writhed loosely around his body, tensing as he readied to strike.

Shiori's bikaku sliced at Seto's to deflect it, hardening upon impact. "How is it a shame if you get to take out two ghouls then?" He mocked as he dodged to the left and rushed at Seto, his teeth bared dangerously.

Kyou blinked a little as he tried to gather his bearings. He shyly followed Takuma into the bar: it's not like he had anywhere else to go. He stood near the door, overwhelmed by the smell of smoke and booze. He was definitely not the kind of person to visit these places, ever. He usually just stayed at home on his computer or took classes at the small college nearby.
