Shiori walked down the dark sidewalk, hugging his coat around him and listening for noises. He almost passed by an easy meal, a sleeping drunk next to the back door of some store, but stopped himself. He hadn't eaten in a few weeks; Anteiku was the easiest place to go, but he needed more than the small portion they gave him. He released his bikaku kagune, a blue one with a split at the end and yellow-gold tips. (i'm not gonna get descriptive here) After killing him, Shiori dragged the now limp body into an alcove and started eating.

Shiori licked his lips and made a small, satisfied sigh. Blood still dribbled down his hands and neck, staining his shirt as he stood up and put his jacket on. Discarded pieces of bone littered the alleyway, along with various pieces of human. Using the deceased's shirt, he wiped off his hands and neck as best as he could, thankful he wore a black shirt to hide the stains. He knew the smell would linger, so he took out another cigarette, lit it, and made his way calmly down the alleyway like nothing happened.

Kyou shifted restlessly in his bed, wondering why he felt so hot. It took him a moment after actually waking up to realize it was probably because he still had his coat on. He groaned and sat up, reaching for his lamp and missing a few times before the light switched on. He blinked a little in the dim light and peeled off his jacket and socks. He was still hot though, so he shuffled groggily out of bed and opened his balcony door, the cool air very much appreciated. After standing there for a little bit, his nose crinkled at the smell of something. His eyes grew wide with fear once he realized what it was. Blood. His breath stopped for a moment, a thousand thoughts racing through his already muddled head. What do I do?! He began panicking in earnest now. He shut the balcony door and locked it, racing for his home phone. After dialling for help (idk what the japanese version of 911 is) a lady picked up."Hello what is your emergency?" She sounded tired, and he felt a little sorry for bothering her. "Um.. Hello.." He suddenly felt a little silly. Maybe a stray dog got in a fight or something? It doesn't necessarily mean there's a ghoul. " This is Kyou Nishimura... I think there might be somebody hurt in the alley behind my apartment." He said it in almost a whisper. After giving her his address, she assured him something would be done. After hanging up, he noticed his hands were shaking.

ooc: holy crap i wrote a lot im sorry.

Shiori recognized her instantly as the other ghoul he had seen in the alley. "Usually I'm not so obvious, but I didn't want to pass up on such an easy meal, and one nobody will miss anyways." He said coldly, the red of his ghoul eyes piercing through the shadow of the alleyway. "Why are you here? Begging for table scraps mabye?" He was a little frustrated by being disturbed, he had preferred to make a quick escape.

Ooc: I almost forgot about Kyou! O_O also, is Seto gonna die then? I liked Seto...

ic: Before he could reply a siren sounded in the distance, growing louder as it came nearer."Sh*t," I shouldn't have stayed so long. "I'm guessing I'll see you around?" He asked, backing away from the entrance of the alley. "I work at the bookstore nearby," He added, blinking his eyes back to human irises and pausing a moment for her reply.

Kyou breathed a shaky sigh of relief, dawn was approaching and the opaqueness of the sky began to lighten a tiny bit. He couldn't hear sirens yet, his ears were nowhere near as acute as ghouls, but he assumed they were coming. He couldn't focus on much, and instead spent a lot of time pacing about and sitting restlessly.

Gemma kicked him under the table for annoying her again, though she didn't really mean much by it. "If the gods are the ones imprisoning our parents, don't you think they have the right to punish as they see fit? I never said their version of justice was just by our standards, though it can be just by their's." She mumbled, it was too early for all this talk. She mostly just wanted to get to combat practice and bust some heads.

He grinned, watching intently as she rounded the corner of the alley onto the sidewalk. He quickly followed her example and spun on his heels before sprinting down the other end of the alley way and into the darkness for cover, taking a few detours until he was far enough away to walk casually. He zipped up his jacket to hide the now dried stains and cursed under his breath. It'll be a pain to get those out later.

Shiori had spent much of his morning, asleep as his shift at the bookstore didn't start until later in the afternoon. Though eventually the sun forced it's way between his curtains and spread out until it shone annoyingly on his eyes. After grumpily getting up, he made a cup of coffee before getting ready to go out.

Kyou had fallen asleep in a chair in his living room, eyes tired and dark circles visible. He was consoled a little when the cleaning crews had come to fix whatever had happened in the alleyway, though he assumed it was a ghoul attack because when they came to ask him if he had seen anything they refused to tell him the details. He still had to get up though, a task that for now seemed impossible. His arms and legs felt heavy as he dawdled around the house trying to make himself look presentable enough to run errands.

Shiori made his way down he repeating flights of stairs that led him out of the apartments. He gave the older lady who always left about now a small nod and courteous smile before making his way down his street towards his work, which was located a little ways away. He lit another cigarette, and pulled his coat a little tighter around himself.

Kyou pulled on his shoe as he walked out the door, catching himself before he tripped. A yawn escaped his mouth as he turned the corner to go get some groceries.

By the time he reached the bookstore, his cigarette was just a stub and he snuffed the end out in an ashtray near the door. He nodded a hello to the other workers on duty before shedding his coat and laying it on a chair behind the counter. His job didn't start for a while, so he began flipping through a new book they had gotten recently. A few pages in he noticed a girl peering suspiciously from behind a newspaper but dismissed it, they've gotten weirder people in here before.

Gemma just quieted down some; she was getting tired of their argument anyways, and Ekain usually won which bothered her too. She could tell by the way his grin looked more like bared teeth than a smile and how his eyes held a dangerous glint that it was about time she got going. "Well I'm off to train a little, anyone wanna come?"

Rowan smiled gently, "I'm not really sure. Honestly, I don't usually check because I'm not very useful in capture the flag so it doesn't matter much which team I'm on anyways." He didn't mind confessing this; healing any wounds afterwards was enough to interest him, though part of him wished he could be a little more outgoing. A thought popped into his head as he munched softly on a piece of toast. "Hey Seamus, can you teach me to be a better fighter?" It probably sounded really random and Seamus wasn't even the most formidable fighter the camp had, but he felt it'd be better to ask a friend than somebody he wasn't all that familiar with.

Shiori smiled at Setsuna and waved back but was taken off guard when the girl who had been generally quiet yelled something about friends. The worker next to him started to walk towards the girl, but before he could get very far Shiori stopped him with a curt, "I got it." He leaned around the corner of one of the bookshelves with an amused look on his face, Setsuna was pretty cute when she was surprised. "Can I help you two?"

"Sure, let's go." She didn't bother waiting for Ekain, if he wanted to come he would. It was no use trying to force him into anything, so she didn't bother. On the other hand, she wasn't really a patient person anyways, and she wouldn't wait for Allison either. After cleaning up her plate, she headed off towards the combat training arenas.

Shiori tried not to flinch at the girl's loudness and failed, blinking a little with wide eyes. "I'm Shiori, nice to meet you. You don't have to be so loud, we can hear you fine." He said gently, hoping she didn't do that again. He flashed Setsuna a what do I do now look before forcing a smile. He was sure this girl could be pleasant to be around, but she definitely came off a little strong. He did notice the girl with the bookshelf sized guy following her though.
