Juliettee smiled back at him, opening her mouth to say her goodbye before Whirlwind lurched forward. She practically jumped when he did, quickly stepping towards him. Her eyes fluttered with astonishment, her eyebrows raising in surprise. "Ryan, I don't think my leave will be that drastic," she stated.
Crystal almost jumped out of her skin at Ryan's suddenness. She rose her hands in defense out of instinct. She frowned at his crazy declarations, glancing towards her girlfriend.
Ariana worriedly looked towards her son, reaching out and putting a hand on his shoulder. "Sweetheart, maybe you should sit down," she suggested in her worried, motherly tone.
Rajni was probably the only one out of the group to believe Ryan. She could, after all, see the future. The six-armed woman frowned, clasping a pair of hands behind her back. "No, no. He is right. Juliettee leaving will cause a lot of distress in the world," she pointed out.

Lacy had her hand on her forehead but she rose her eyes back to the street when he picked up. "Hey, hun. Are you doing anything right now?" She asked. True, she wanted him to come to her or for her to come to him but she didn't want to interrupt him if he was doing work or something. And if he was busy, then she wasn't completely against the thought of consuming five bottles of whiskey.

Lacy couldn't but let out a small laugh at the sound of something hitting the phone and Dick fumbling to catch it. 'Senna must've been near,' She thought to herself. "If you don't mind, could you?" She asked, leaning back in her chair. "I don't want to be alone." Her tone hinted at her saddened mood when she spoke. Lacy combed a hand through her dark curls.

Juliettee's mouth was gaped open as she listened to him speak. She could hear and see that his anxiety was acting up. Shutting her mouth, she suddenly turned her head towards someone the others couldn't see. "I told you, I don't have a choice in this," she said quickly, glancing between the others and whoever she could see.
Ariana frowned. "Ryan, you need to breath," she told him gently. She herself had anxiety and had some experience in dealing with it. In his current state, she would advise him to avoid whatever was stressing him.
"Wally, if you could what will happen if she leaves, I believe you would understand why Ryan did what he did," Rajni said, looking towards her friend. "Is there any way you can get out of the war?" She asked while her eyes turned towards Juliettee.

Lacy heard him click the end button after he finished talking. She held her phone with both hands as she stared at the blank screen. Now she just had to wait. When she heard the door knock, she stood up and padded over to the door. She opened the door to look up at her boyfriend. Lacy gave a little smile as she stepped back to let him in. "Hey," she greeted. The heavy depressing feeling she left earlier still weighed on her and she wasn't sure if it showed or it.

Ariana's frown deepened when her son snapped at her. She met Flash's eyes before turning her electric eyes back towards WW. She opened her mouth to say something else but was cut off by Rajni. "Before you say anything, Ariana, at least hear Juliettee respond," the Indian woman interjected.
It felt like all eyes were on the angel. Juliettee clasped her hands together as looked towards the unseen person and kept her eyes on them. "I-I don't know," she stuttered. "He doesn't exactly like people going back on deals." Just the thought of betraying her word sent chills up her spine. For the mortals who believed in God, He was kind and forgiving. But to those who served him, he was strict and forward. The last thing she wanted was to become a fallen.

Juliettee looked like she wanted to believe that it was that simple, but she knew it wasn't. Suddenly, Michael, that golden-haired archangel, appeared in the direction Juliettee had been looking. "Oh, by the devil, it's not that easy," he snapped, looking towards WW. He was dressed in a similar fashion as Juliettee with the white attire and certain joints armored. He walked over to the other angel to stand by her side. "No one can just simply 'talk' to our Father," Michael stated blandly. "But if you want to try, knock yourself out."
Juliettee's eyes were wide as she stared up at the archangel. "You know humans cannot enter the citadel unless they're dead," she hissed at her comrade. Michael smirked, looking at her and nodded.

Lacy closed the door after he had stepped in only to be greeted by a kiss on the cheek. She looked up at him, happy to see his warming look. "I know," she said in response to him being worried. "I've been..." She paused to take a deep breath, placing her hand over his. "I don't know how I've been," she answered honestly. The only way she could think to describe how she was feeling was 'complicated'.

Juliettee snapped her eyes towards Ryan at his statement. "No one will be dying!" She exclaimed, eyebrows furrowing. "I know my leaving is...upsetting, but I can't do anything about it." She tone had turned stern with a hint of her stubbornness. "There is no time for this, I have to leave," she huffed out before looking up at Michael.
"Yes," he said, taking out a small device that would get the two angels to their destination.
Ariana let out an exasperated sigh. "Everything will be fine, Ryan," she said. "Let's not do anything brash."

Lacy let her head rest on Dick's chest. She wrapped her arms around him as she looked down at the ground. "What is there to talk about?" She croaked. "It is what it is and there's nothing that can change it." Death was not something she dealt with easily. Having you're entire race basically be wiped out by people she had trusted could take a toll on someone.

It was too late. Michael had already clicked the device to transport them. All Juliettee felt was something restricting her wings and someone's familiar arms. The force of him hugging her made her lurch forward a little, knocking the device out of Michael's hands. The small silver disk clattered to the ground and disappeared, transporting without them. "Ryan!" Juliettee cried, eyes wide at the sight of their only current way of getting to the Citadel. "What did you do?!"
Michael turned invisible to everyone's eyes for the soul purpose of cursing Ryan out without him hearing. Suddenly, the sky turned dark with thunder crackling. God was becoming impatient. Both angels looked up at the sky, eyes as wide as saucers.

Lacy didn't say anything at first, just kept staring at the ground. "I feel like it's my fault," she begun in a quiet tone. "I should've been there. Maybe if I had been there he wouldn't have..." She got choked up just trying to say the word. "He told me that he would be fine, that it was just a routine check-up and if he needed help he would call." Tears welled in her eyes. "I should've been with him. Trouble always found him."

Juliettee looked lost and scared. She didn't know what to do now. She was most likely still going to have to return to the Citadel and take whatever consequences there would be. It was, in fact, her fault for getting attached to the mortals instead of staying in the shadows like she should've. "Do not anger Him anymore than already have," she snapped at Ryan. Michael reappeared but he was glaring at WW.
"I have never particularly disliked humans, but you are an impossible one," he growled. "Juliettee. Poena enim prope est." Juliettee looked at him and nodded sadly.
"Oh, how am I going to explain this," Juliettee questioned in a groan, glancing back up at the sky.

Rajni just appeared to become more and more annoyed by the second. There was no way for her to help explain but she knew everything Ryan was saying was right. One of the many issues of being able to see the future.
Ariana glanced up at her husband and nodded in agreement. "I know I'm crazy, but this is a bit much," she muttered to Wally.
Crystal frowned at her nephew. Was Juliettee's leaving really what snapped him? She didn't understand any of this. She knew he got some of Ariana's crazy genes but she didn't think he got that much.

"I know that. I can't help but feel this way, though," Lacy muttered. "That boy went through so much and the one time I'm not there, he's taken." She arms tightened around him. All of the times he had attempted to take his own life, almost dying in battle or from something his father did to him, she had been there. "It doesn't help that I know why he was at the hospital either," she added. She wasn't sure if Dick knew as well or not, but maybe if she had been there, he would've been able to live life happier before he went.

Juliettee blinked, and WW was gone. When she saw the funnel of electricity, she furrowed her eyebrows while saying, "What does he expect to achieve with this?" She looked at her garden, and seeing the flowers become torn apart just made her more angry. Her eyes suddenly glowed bright white as she rose her arm towards WW's blurred running. She managed to freeze his running and levitate him back over to her. "If I try to talk to Him, will you stop this antic?" She hissed, her eyes glowing brighter than they usually did as she kept him in the air.
The fact that Juliettee was using this much of her power in public worried Michael. Despite how he treated her, he knew very well how powerful she was. He gave him the thought of why God wanted her in the war so badly.

Lacy didn't respond. She should accept that fact but it was still hard. The snake woman let out a deep breath before pulling away slightly to be able to look up at him. She slid her hands to his sides and letting them rest there. "Distract me," she stated bluntly. "I don't feel like drinking myself to sleep again tonight."

Juliettee looked a bit hurt by his words but that was quickly washed over by the annoyance and anger. She gently put him back on the ground then turned towards Michael, the glow in her eyes dying down slowly. The archangel looked to almost jump at the sudden look. "Call Uriel," she said in a snippy tone. Michael frowned but just nodded before disappearing to their eyes. Juliettee sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. "I'll see what I can do, but I can't make any promises," she hissed under her breath.

Both Ariana and Crystal got the undertone of what Ryan said, and neither were happy about. Crystal rose her eyebrows at him, sucking in a breath. Ariana just frowned, the corners of her eyes sparking.

"I honestly don't care at this point," Lacy responded. They could watch a movie. He could make her laugh. He could f*ck her against the wall for she cared. Anything would be better than being left alone with her thoughts. "Any kind of distraction will do."

Juliettee stared at him, matching his rough look. It was noticeable that her shoulders sagged a little when he spat that the fate of the entire world depended on her. Blinking, she looked towards the others with a softer look than what she was giving Ryan. "My apologies. Perhaps you all should take your leave as to not waste any more of your time," she said. All of this was just drama that could've been avoided, no need to bring more people into the issue.

Ariana sighed, crossing her arms as her white bangs fell in front of her face. Suddenly, the few members of the League got a crime alert. She glanced towards her husband, who happened to be a main member of the League. The electric woman looked back towards her son and told him from her standing spot, "Hablaremos cuando llegues a casa."
Crystal looked up at Waiola, smiling slightly at her. She took her hand and kissed the top of it. "Let's hope we never do," she whispered back, low enough so that only she could hear her.
Rajni sighed a small sigh of relief when she heard the crime alert. This situation had gotten a bit too much for her.

((I don't know if Dick would've popped the question earlier or not, so meh. I honestly don't know why there would be a masquerade, but its for the ATMOSPHERE.))

Five months had passed since Ace's death. After some time, Lacy had managed to cope with it and learned to be able to talk about him without becoming emotional. A large banquet masquerade was being held, and most everyone was going to be there, even Lacy with her beloved boyfriend, Dick. The Brazilian woman was dressed in an eloquent, black gown with accented lace and silk, her mask made of black lace to match. She walked into the grand room with her arm linked around Dick's, grinning at the sight of all of the well-dressed people.

A dashing young man with ginger hair that had bangs that hang in his face and hazel eyes with a hard gaze stood near the dance floor. He was dressed in a fancy suit with a green tie and a basic green mask to match. There were going to be people at the banquet that would recognize him without the mask but in general, he was unrecognizable. For one, he looked to have actual, fully-intact legs, not like he used to with the traditional green and red clunking prosthetics. Two, he wasn't wearing the owl-like glasses (only because he was wearing contacts). And three, he looked to be more 'masculine' with a broader chest and narrower hips.
Besides all of the changes to the people who might know him, he would know no one there. Well, more like wouldn't remember them. As far as he knew, he was here on a mission. All he had to do was wait for the right moment to strike and make his leave.
