She'd traveled this far, why did she have to make all of the choices? Then again, Brian was the one taking her into her home, and extending his hospitality to her despite having known her less than ten minutes prior to her invitation.


    As Brian lead Brooklyn into a back alley, the girl felt the back of her neck prickle uneasily. Even though she was all too eager to learn about the buildings and areas that the city entailed, did they have to go down such a creepy route? She supposed that Brian could be trying to show her the darker sides of the city; or maybe he just didn't realise at all. Regardless, the girl hugged her arms to her chest protectively.


    It was quiet and eery here, the exact thing that Brooklyn wanted to avoid; the whole appeal to the city was the hustling and bustling, the unknown of your passerby's, the mystery of the entire place. But here, everything felt damp, cold and lonely. She felt a stab in her chest as she looked at the houses that Brian pointed out - the houses back where she lived were all large and well-built; sure, a few were a bit ramshackle, maybe in need of a new paint job or some extra roofing tiles, but besides that, everything was in pretty good shape. Not these places, though.


    "People really live there?" she asked, shocked, staring at the building with a furrowed brow. She wondered if she would have been sleeping in a place like that is Brian hadn't taken her in.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px;][justify]The Rift is a nice place - though this might be a bit biased. They aren't extremely active, but they're a really nice, cute backboard Clan. They're not too slow paced, but not too fast, either, which for me personally is perfect because I don't have all the time in the world. I only came about a week ago and everyone was super friendly, making me feel really welcomed. Also I really like that name! It's unique.

All she knew now was that a lot of time had passed, and that she was no longer the puppy she used to be; her body had grown and morphed into an almost full-grown canine. She couldn't be older than a year, though.


    "Hello?" the husky called, standing on the border with a blurry mind and her heart like lead in her chest. Everything had been torn away from her. It's okay, it's okay, don't let anyone see that you're hurting, she didn't want to set a weak impression on whoever resided in this area.
