(Don't worry I'll reply to the others)
Lunch was soon over and the classes went by. It was soon the end of school. Derek made his way outside and stood by the wall at the tree he noticed Grace liked to hang around. He remembered how he was teasing her about being a squirrel. The memory made him smile just slightly. As he leaned on there he waited for Grace to appear.
-
Hours later the lights grew dark and the keys that jingled on the leather bealts of workers were hung on nails and the noise of paper work and two-legs soon ceased. DareEye nudged Shadow awake to signal her that it was time. The alley cats gathered around and looked up at the fence. Tomorrow they would come and seperate the cats by gender and information. That's why they had to get out tonight; to make escaping easier.
-
"You walk home right?" Once she appeared he got up off the wall to meet up to her.
-
"You ready to get out of here?" DareEye looked at her warmly with his amber eyes.
-
After he looked at the sky first he answered, "Because I'll walk you home." It was still pretty cloudy, nothing that would cause serious damage. "And I don't think you want to wait in case a storm occurs before you get there."
-
He nodded and looked at the rest of the cats; "Okay first thing is first; we climb over the fence then make way to the bathrooms. There are windows there that are usually left open by careless janitors."
"How do you know about the bathrooms?" A she-cat asked, skeptical.
"I heard the two-legs speaking to a man in a navy jumpsuit in an angry tone about leaving windows open in the bathrooms. Maybe he made it a habbit and are lucky for tonight.."
-
It took him a minute before he responded, "Well... I have... Committed some murder before..." That was the best he could do to start the conversation. Derek said it without looking at Grace, unprepaired for her reaction to anything he said or was going to say.
-
RazorPelt chuckled and got in a running pose himself before meowing, "One... Two.." He ran off before he said three; going as fast as he could with his head start.
-
A laugh rumbled in his throat as he looked back at her, seeing her catching up quickly. He poured in the speed a little more as he streaked towards the great oak.
-
Derek finally looked at her and gave her a look that said 'calm down'. "I don't have a mental condition; if that answers some of your questions..." He opened his mouth to say something but changed his mind. You need to tell her. If you don't she won't be aware of the danger she is in... You are already in this deep might as well give her the worst of it, and still warn her of Fang. "I... I need... I kind of need to to survive..." Derek looked at the ground when he said this.
-
"We use the vents in the ceiling." With that he gestured to the ceiling above them with his nose. All the cats observed their options and weighed the consequences. "We all ready?" DareEye asked and all the cats meowed in agreement. The other cats in the room had been watching them in wonder of what they were planning. Some of them looked at them with longing eyes to go with them; kits and mothers all the same.
-
"Have you been watching the news lately?" He asked her, refering to all the deaths and murders going around.
-
Derek sighed, this was going to make explaining a little harder. "Um... Well there had been an interesting way of how everyone has been dying lately... The bodies they found seemed to have died of blood loss but... The only wounds they could find on them is two puncture wounds on their neck..." He said this all slowly to let it sink in.
-
In a bitter way Derek chuckled a little, "I'm surprised you didn't say that like it was a joke..." Still avoiding to look at Grace he said in a reluctant and nervous tone, "And it depends if you actually believe in that stuff..."
-
Derek sighed, he couldn't believe he was actually talking to her about this. "Well... My... kind can't be properly sustained on normal food... We get our energy on a more... 'Effective' product. Which I guess you can say I'm a vampire." They were nearing her neighborhood.
-
With all eyes on him DareEye began to make his way up the fence. Once he made it to the top he slipped through the metal bar and the ceiling. He climbed down but then leaped off the fence to land on his paws. Looking back at the cats on the other side he jerked his head to the side to signal to get over.
-
"Good. Because you're not going to say anything. Especially not to Fang. Infact you should just stay away from him at all costs." Derek warned and stopped at the entrance of her neighborhood.
-
"There are some dark vampires out there and Fang is one of the worst... He's not what he seems, you can't trust him." His crimson/brown eyes were serious and dark.
-
Once they were all out DareEye ran through the map that was in his head that he heard from the chatter and the smells. He cringed his nose a little at the scent of two-leg fecies but it was their ticket out hopefully. All the cats looked up and by one of the end stalls was a window being propped open by a single metal bar.
"How are we suppose to get up there?" The leading alley cat hissed, observing the smooth tile walls and the distance between the sinks and the windows.
DareEye looked around for a minute and then walked under the stall door to reveal a porcaline toilet, a plastic casing connected to the wall that contained white paper cloth and a metal bar along both sides on the stall and wall for the injured two-legs. "We jump on the white rock toilet and then on the plastic case."
-
Derek reached out to grab Grace's arm before she could run off, "Promise me you're going to stay away from him." His eyes were almost pleading.
