Waterscratch came over to help Goldeneye get the apprentice out of the lake.
-
"I'm just passing through. Don't get your tail in a twist." she paused, smiling gleefully. "Anyway, I could take you in a fight." Lockett challenged Longtail.
-
I'll try. Which clan?
-
Waterscratch picked up a strong branch in his mouth and through it into the water. "Hold on!" he shouted. Then he turned to Goldeneye. "We'll grip the branch with our teeth and tug it back to shore." he told her. Then he swam out to help her.
-
-
Waterscratch was racing next to Goldeneye. He looked back. "Come on, you don't want to fall in again!" he shouted, running back. He picked the apprentice up by the scruff of his neck and forced him forward. Then he ran like the wind away from the water.
-
Aarom wondered if she was talking to him. He answered anyway. "Let's hope they are strong, willing and believe what is right." he paused. "That she-cats are equal to toms."
-
-
"Wanna bet?" she retorted.

-
Waterscratch leapt up the tree, slipping on the wet bark, but he managed to pull himself up. His muscles groaned and he had a fresh cut on his paw, but otherwise he was fine.
-
Waterscratch heard DragonPaw calling desperately to his sister, who looked like she was going to fall in. He fell out of tree and grabbed DiamondPaw throwing her gracefully into the tree. The water was too close to get away from, but he was an okay swimmer. His dug his claws into the bank and hoped he wouldn't be swept away by the raging current.
-
"More kits and cats should though." Aaron replied.
-
The water washed over him. He stood his ground, but finally he started to swim frantically. He emerged, panting. He was safe for now.
-
Lockett was grinning with amusement. Everything she said just made Longtail angrier.
-
"I don't know, cats just do, like Toxique, Thunder and Wyng. It makes me feel mad and sad."
-
Waterscratch ran up to Goldeneye. "Let me help." he wheezed.
-
"I don't know why I joined either. I guess I thought it would be fairer than this."
-
"The lake is flooding, Oak." he said. "We have to be away from the water."
-
Lockett followed him.
