The boy sat contemplating for a moment, then stood up abruptly. He made his way purposefully over to Sky's table and sat down, uninvited, in the seat across from her.

With a deeply serious expression on his face, the boy looked her in the eye, pointed to her cup of coffee, and said, "Are you going to finish that?"

OOC: Sorry, but I have to go sleepy time now. BUT I shall continue roleplaying with you in the morning! :D

    OOC: OK, I'M BACK :)

Finally the boy's face relaxed into a smile. "I was kidding." He said, although the quick twinge of disappointment around his mouth suggested otherwise. He threw a quick glance at the ordering counter behind which some employees were still watching him carefully.

The boy half-turned in his seat a moment to stare at the teenage girl who had just burst into the cafe, soaking wet, but his attention was quickly diverted by the sight of the cafe manager purposefully making his way over to their table.

Turning to Sky, he said quickly in a low voice, "Okay, listen, normally I would never ever ask you to do this-- but I just need you to pretend to be my girlfriend for five-- no, ten seconds. I swear it's really important, I'm not pulling your le-- Hello, sir! Can we help you?" He broke off suddenly, looking innocently up at the manager who was now standing in front of them.

The manager smiled coldly and ignored the boy, turning instead to Sky. "Pardon me, miss, but is this vagabond bothering you? I would be happy to throw him out for you, if you wish." He offered in a rather clipped tone, throwing the boy a distasteful look.

    OOC: Hahaha yesss! Action. :P

The manager let out a startled "GAH!" as he was suddenly assaulted by a deluge of hot tea and crumpled to the ground, but his cries of pain were drowned out by screams of fear and confusion from the staff, elicited by the unexpected appearance of two large and hostile dogs (or whatever it was they were seeing through the Mist).

The yet unnamed teenage boy took this opportunity during utter chaos to sieze Sky's wrist and roughly launch her and himself across the room and over the serving counter, ducking behind it as one of the hellhounds destroyed an overhead light.

"Get out the back door quickly-- like, now would be a good time." He said to Sky, shoving her a little, and peeked over the counter to see that the other hellhound now had the strange girl dangling by her hoodie. He pulled a battered wooden spoon out from his pocket, saying to Sky as he did, "I'll be out there with you in a second, just-- hold on."

With that he flung himself back over the counter and, for whatever reason, chucked the spoon directly at the hellhound holding the teenage girl captive. Somehow the spoon seemed to elongate in mid-air, and suddenly it wasn't a spoon, but a spear, which embedded itself squarely in the hellhound's eye.

"HA!" The boy hooted in triumph, but no sooner had he done so than the second hellhound siezed his sneaker in its mouth, hoisting him up into the air by his ankle.

OOC: I feel like I should have planned this better. I have no idea what I'm doing. :P

IC: Bruce stared at the half-finished drawing of himself, cleared his throat uncomfortably, and hastily flipped back to the previous drawings, scanning over the sketch of the girl playing with the toy rabbit.

"You said your name was Peta?" He asked absently. "Do you... display these anywhere?"

As soon as they reached the park, the boy collapsed on the grass, breathing hard. One of the cuffs of his jeans was steadily turning dark red around the ankle where the hellhound had bitten him.

He rested an arm over his eyes, his breathing slowly returning to normal. After a moment, when he was able to speak again, he muttered, "I think that went really well."

"Hellhounds." Said the boy, sitting up and grimacing at his leg. "They're pretty much demon dogs from the pits of Tartaru--" He paused, blinking at the two girls. "Uh... never mind, I'll tell you later. Right now I kind of need a water fountain ASAP."

The boy stared blankly at the water bottle, then offered it back to her, saying rather sheepishly, "Er... thanks, but I kind of meant an actual water fountain. I need to make a rainbow so I can contact Chiron and tell him I'm taking you back to Ca-- aah, what are you doing, put that down!" He yelled suddenly, scrambling to his feet, and batted the phone out of Sky's hand. "That thing emits radio waves! You can't use that with hellhounds and who knows what else hanging out around here."

"And I'm Austen." Said the boy hastily, "And now that we all know each other-- well, except you--" He added with a not unfriendly nod at the scrawny boy, "--we need a way to get out of here. Preferably now."

He turned and looked appraisingly at the other teenage boy. "Er... you're a Hades kid, right? Because if you are, that'd really fantastic if you could shadow travel us to Camp Half-Blood. I mean, if you know where that is...?" He said uncertainly.

"Why don't we just turn that off." Austen said lightly, prying the phone out of the boy's fingers and pressing the off button firmly. He slipped it into the pocket of his hoodie, throwing a slightly rueful look at Sky. "I'll give it back when we get to Camp... just to be safe." He promised.

"In the meantime," he said a little louder, directing his attention back to Will, "I hope you've got money, Mr. Smith, 'cause I sure don't."

OOC: Haha, there are like no taxis where I live, but most likely if I add it to my stockpile of random information it'll probably come in handy some day. :P

IC: Austen stared blankly at the wad of cash for a moment, clearly unused to being handed fistfuls of twenty-dollar bills without any strings attached.

"Uh... okay. Thanks." He said awkwardly. "I guess we'll see you later, then...?" He cleared his throat and turned back to give the cabbie directions, waving for the two girls to hop inside.

"Yes, it's just Greek mythology, but Greek mythology is probably going to become your life from this point on, so I wouldn't diss it." Austen said as the car door slammed shut and sped off down the street with the three teenagers inside, leaving Will standing on the street corner behind them.

The taxi cab was a slight squeeze with the three of them all packed in there, and Austen shifted, trying not to step on anybody's toes, before continuing. "Camp Half-Blood is where demigods go to learn how not to die-- basically. And, I'm just guessing here, but is it safe to assume you guys are both estranged from one or more of your parents? Not to be nosy, or anything." He added hastily, "It's important, trust me."

"Long Island Sound." Austen replied, thinking quickly, "It's where our, uh, theater practice is. We're doing a play based on Greek mythology. Yeah, that's it." He nudged Leona with his foot, gesturing frantically for her to back him up.

"Yeah, here. Thanks-- we're meeting some friends here first. Fellow theater kids... and stuff." Austen explained to the driver, passing the appropriate amount of bills to him. "So, yeah... bye." He said and climbed out of the car, hoping the cabbie would just leave without any further attempts at prolonging the awkward conversation.

Austen raised an eyebrow at Leona in surprise. "Well, yeah... How did you know---? You know what, never mind." He stuck his hands deep in his pockets and cleared his throat, saying, "Anyway, you guys should probably know before we get there; there's gonna be a lot of weird things at Camp.... it's kind of hard to explain. But just roll with it and try not to freak out."

"Well, I'm a Tyche kid. She's my mom." Austen said simply. "I don't know which one is Will's-- I guess you'd have to ask him. As for you two, usually you find out as soon as you cross the border for Camp, but I can guess if you want. Which one is it? The one that left you. Your mom or your dad?"

OOC: HAHAHA, wow, there are like two more pages than last I checked. :D So hold on, let me get this straight-- this is during the time of The Lost Hero, and Leona is Percy's cousin/sister/relative of some kind. Okay! I think I got it. :)

OOOHH, GUYS, WAIT-- I just had an idea. What if Leona, Sky, Austen and Will are all part of the Prophecy of Seven instead of Leo, Piper, Jason, Hazel and Frank? That would mean we still need one more character though, if Annabeth and Percy are still included. Would that be okay with you guys? I think it would also be a lot less confusing that way, too, instead of trying to incorporate everybody from the Heroes of Olympus series into the roleplay.

Also, I really appreciate you guys waiting for me. Y'all are the best. :)

IC: Austen finally entered the meeting room, having left the other three in front of the Big House under the pretense, "I have to do.... thing. Just go ahead, I'll catch up to you."

Now he stopped in his tracks with raised eyebrow and looked around the room in obvious confusion. "Uh... what did I miss?"

OOC: Also, DIBS ON ANNABETH! :D

OOC: Well, I was thinking the seventh character would have to be Roman, kind of in place of Jason. :)

IC: "Well, I'll just be going, then!" Austen said cheerily, and turned hastily on his heel, hoping desperately that Chiron wouldn't call him back. He'd been in the city, out of Camp boundaries without permission when he ran into Sky and Leona, and he wanted to get out of here before Chiron or anyone had the chance to chew him out for it. Someone was bound to call him out eventually, but maybe he'd be able to avoid them until it was forgotten.
