Alexander let out a sigh and gave him a chaste kiss.

"Uh, well I know you're very ticklish" Robert said diverting the subject.

Magnus kept his hand to the gladiator's cheek, a gentle smile crawling onto his face. He kept his eyes trained on the brutes face watching the turmoil evolve in his features. "Children that will grow into brutes like you" he said "and it is in your blood to fight, I assume the same blood flows within them".

He looked Gaius up and down his gaze raking over the gladiotor's body. "You will do everything I say, you will fight, live and die when I tell you to" he said "and I'll keep your siblings away from the arena, but I will have my eyes on them, as my eyes are always on you"

Robert tried to scoot away "hey! No I'm not ticklish!" He said

"If you don't have a gsw to the shoulder I'd push you into the water" Robert threatened playfully.

Robert scooted father away "I love you, you don't have to do this" he said dramatically.

Robert jerked away "don't enjoy this too much or I'll be out of a job" he joked

Magnus watched the continuous rage boil behind Gaius' piercing gaze. He was pleased with the way the title rolled off the gladiator's tongue with little resistance. He raised his eyebrow at the brute's last statement "that sounds like a threat Gaius" he said leaning closer to test the waters. "I don't take lightly to threats, neither do my soldiers" looking towards the door. His men stood right outside, mostly likely listening to the best of their abilities. "I do not fear you" he said though he could feel the adrenaline pumping through his veins, "I am the heir to the Roman Empire and your Master, i hope you will not be quick to forget that".

"Should I feel special?" Robert asked "I'll have to find a way to get you back, maybe after your shoulder is healed"

Alexander chuckled "how sweet?" He asked

"I can try" Robert said "I also could just tickle you to death too"

Magnus let his hand fall to his side and stepped back. His smile not fading and he gave no notice towards the unruly tone "I trust you will comply with any order I give you considering what you are risking" he said "but I'd like to ask you a few questions about your family and I hope your answers are truthful as I can always ask your siblings. I've been told my soldiers are very convincing". Making his way over to the poor excuse of a bed in the corner of the room to only stand back up almost immediately, "we are going back to your chamber" he said obviously unsatisfied with the gladiator's accommodation. His tolerance wearing thin as the adrenaline left his system, "we will continue this conversation once we are some place adequate enough to hold an heir".

Robert chuckled at his dramatics "You've left me no other option" he said as he advanced towards him.

Magnus gave a disgusted look at Gaius and the whole room. Moving swiftly away from the bed eager to leave the disgusting room.

"Sir are you alright?" The soldier asked, keeping his eyes on the gladiator suspiciously.

The heir passed quickly not giving the soldier a second glance "the gladiator's quarters now" he ordered.

The guards flanked both the gladiator and Magnus, their gazes scanning the halls for any threats.

Alexander laughed "now you're being too generous" he said

"I can't, I'm sorry" Robert said and wrapped him in a hug and started tickling him.

"I'm sure you can" Alexander replied kissing his nose before starting to fall asleep.

When the prince opened his eyes it was barely light. He frowned, carefully removing himself from Jason's embrace and looked around. Letting his eyes adjust, he noticed the window was open. Gently nudging his knight, "Jason" he whispered "Jason did you open the window last night?"

He paused for a moment, not wanting Connor to pull his stitches. "Well you're laughing so seems pretty funny to me" he said

Once safe in the room he dismissed the guards. "Stay outside the room make sure no one gets in, if the senator requires my attention tell him I'm take care of important matters" he said and swiftly closed the door.

His eyes landed on the gladiator; the pleasant smile returning to his face. "I know you're eager to get rid of me, but what I need most is your cooperation and obedience" he replied. Uncomfortable with standing by the door Magnus moved to sit down on the bed. "You are intelligent for an gladiators, most have attempted to rip my jugular out by now. What region are you from?" He asked.
