L slouched outbthe front school door and searched for Light. He was glad to be going to the coffee sine his caretaker hadn't allowed him any this morning. This wouldn't be considered as a date... would it? the raven asked himself. He blushed and accidentally bumped into someone. "Oh, e-excuse me." L noticed that the person he bumped into looked familiar. "Light? Oh, sorry. I wasn't paying attention."

OOC: No no no no, it's ok! I was just bumping it. You're fine, and I understand.

He loved the way Alex looked, and maybe before he puked his brains out, he could tell the other that. Bane led the other male to the dancefloor and started to dance to the electronic beat.

The raven's blush darkened a little and nodded his head. He looked down to avoid the other's gaze and saw that Light's hand was reaching over to his own. His breath got caught inside of his chest, but for the right reason. He wanted to hold Light's hand.

He nodded with a grin. "Hello, Dakota. I'm Hige." The male knew it would be fun to have her around, if she stayed. Dakota seemed like an interesting person. "Well, what are you doing out here all by yourself, then?"

Oops, guess I creeped her out with all the questions. Hige chuckled softly, "I'll stop asking questions now. If that's what ya want?"

The whole time their hands were connected, L's heart was beating a millions beats a second. But when Light let go, he, still couldn't get his heart rate to stay even. "Ok, sure..." he whispered and sat down. Well, crouched in the booth with his sneakers on the leather and his knees folded up to his chest. L placed the hand Light had held on his knee and stuck the other hand's thumbnail in his mouth; he stared down at the hand with deep thought filled eyes and smiled.

"Huh? Oh, yes. My school work is going great so far. As I suspect that you are doing well too?" He had never zoned out so much in his life except for when he was thinking about Light. It actually made him feel like he was loosing his mind.

He watched the way the other danced and couldn't help but smile. When the song finally went off and the slow one came on, a lot of couples went to the floor. Bane braced himself even through his drunkeness for what he was about to do. He took a deep breath and quickly leaned in and gave a small kiss to Alex's lips. Just a quick smooch, no tongue or anything like that.

L listened intently to Light's beautiful voice explain about school. When the waitress came back and asked how many sugar cubes they wanted, the raven replied, "Leave the whole bowl."

(Sorry, I'm brain-deaf at the moment)

He plopped.... eh, he lost count of how many sugar cubes he put in his coffee. "I see..." L replied out of nervousness. He didn't mind the other male sitting close to him, and that's what bothered the raven. Without realizing it until it was to late, he blurted out, "Do you have a girlfriend?"

He pulled away, his face flushed. "Heh.... S-sorry. I guess I went too far," Bane lied. He wanted it to seem like it was the alcohol is what made him kiss the other.

"Oh, alright." He sighed and leaned against one of the alley walls. "Since I asked you so much... is there anything you want to ask me then?"

L leaned over the couch and smiled at his family. "He's growing pretty well."

"S-so you don't mind?" he asked, actually a little dazed.

Oops, there was no way out of it now. "I-I was just curious... I saw you at school earlier with a group of girls..." And that was the cause for my saddened expression at lunch. L could see the question in Light's eyes, and he prayed that the other didn't think he was asking for himself.

Bane smiled, he wanted to see how long this would last. He grabbed the other's hand and led him over to the empty booth he had been sitting in earlier.

This didn't help his blush at all. "Alright then~" he said softly before taking a sip of his coffee. Well, you couldn't really call it that. It was just a cup of sugar with a splash of the caffeine liquid.

L watched his love and knew that she was tired. Heck, he himself was even loosing what little sleep he usually got. "If you want to go back to sleep, I'll watch Ryuzaki for you."
