Holocaust found himself by the wall he and his siblings had passed earlier, sighing he jumped up the wall, sitting atop it. "Sundapple?"
-
Holocaust fell silent, just staying atop the wall for now. His fur flattened against his flanks in an attempt to conserve warmth.
-
Holocaust looked out across the wall, taking in the detail he could see from the cracks in the wall to the bent trees swaying slightly in the distance. He still couldn't believe she had left. Her absence left a hole in his heart though he'd never admit it, not to anyone, not even himself.
-
Holocaust looked on with wide eyes across the lights from the twolegs homes beyond the wall, intrigued by the delicate yet sturdy design that brought mixed emotions to his species.
-
Holocaust whirled around, falling from the wall in surprise. "Ow..." he muttered, picking himself up to face her "You came back...?" he blinked, still in surprise.
-
Holocaust remained silent for a few heartbeats, choosing his words carefully, "I thought maybe I had upset you and you'd left because of that?" he offered in response, hoping he had been at the very least, close to what had caused her to take so long.
-
"You were gone a while for just that..." Holocaust replied unsurely.
-
Holocaust nodded, accepting her answer, "Ok"
-
"I was thinking the same" Holocaust smiled slightly, looking for some kind of shelter against the cold.
-
Holocaust followed quietly.
-
Holocaust laid down against the inside of the trunk, resting his head on his paws.
-
Holocaust opened one eye to look at her curiously, realising she was shivering. Frowning slightly he shuffled towards the she cat on his underbelly until his pelt brushed against hers. Pausing a moment he looked at her, hoping not to wake her as he pressed himself against her a little more firmly, resting his chin across her shoulder blades. His yellow eyes staring unblinkingly at the inside of the hollow, waiting for her shivering to cease before he let himself fall asleep.
-
Holocaust smiled softly, listening to her purr for some time before closing his eyes to find sleep.
-
Holocaust awoke some time later, his expression one of confusion until his eyes settled on the tortoiseshell fur of Sundapple, memories flooding back to the tom as if on cue.

{Sorry for also not being active for ages now :)}
"Morning" The dark-furred tom murmured, purring faintly, his pale gaze fixated upon the green-gold irises blinking back at him before tearing his eyes away to stare out of the looming hollow in the tree they rested in. Lost in his thoughts he turned his head to steal a glance at the she cat, voicing the question he'd been musing over for some time now. "Sundapple, you once told me you were alone. Have you.. always been that way?" Holocaust murmured absentmindedly, his brow furrowed thoughtfully in question.

Aha

"But...?" Holocaust prompted gently, studying her curiously, he hasn't considered her the type to live in a clan but then again, he hadn't known her long enough to make that sort of judgement efficiently.
-
"I'm sorry" Holocaust murmured sympathetically, "Their loss i suppose" he offered, his eyes lighting up with a faint trace of amusement for a heartbeat before fading to a neutral level of expression, reminding himself she might still be sensitive with the topic.

Holocaust smiled faintly at the question, "My father was a clanless tom who never cared much for the prospects of family or love, and my mother, she passed early to birthing complications. My brother would always be the one who would look after us." He spoke calmly of his past, seemingly unaffected by the deprivation of his mother and the love he never received as a young cat. "I left my brother and sister after a while though, got involved in a lot of fights to try and get rid of all the resentment I held for my father. I thought I could loose myself for a while. I even tried at one point, in courting a she cat I'd met on the streets in the hope of finding love. But I was young and had no idea what love even was, I mean, I'm still learning. Hysteria, my brother, he came and got me off the streets and we left. We traveled for a while after that and now, here I am... Still learning what it means to love and be loved." He trailed off, looking back at her, his expression uncertain for a moment before he smiled "Nothing all that exciting"
