LightClan has been around for awhile, but unfortunately during a wolf attack, most of the cats were killed or scattered. The only ones who survived were, Darkstar, Sandpelt, and Angelcloud and we are looking to build the clan back up. Now here is some information about the clan :D

LightClan is a small but building clan that lives on the mountain that holds the Moonstone. They live pretty peacefully atop a high mountain, close to the stars. It is cold up there but most cats have thick, long fur coats so it doesn't bother them. The mountain has a thick forest rich with prey and clear freshwater streams to drink from. On the west side of the mountain, In the distance, they can see a big Two-leg city, but the two-legs very rarely ever bother them. Just the occasional hiker or camper. On the North side are sheer cliffs and rocks that are very dangerous to inexperienced cats. To the West and South are the forests and streams, and even a beautiful meadow closer down the mountain. At the very bottom of the mountain is a small lake that is rich in fish.

*This is an advanced clan, you must post at least one line if not two or more!
*Any Treasonous acts will be severely punished
*Follow the Warrior Code
*Nursing queens, kits, and elders are fed first, then the med cat, then warriors and apprentices, then the leader.
* The leader and Medicine cats may have kits, as long as they still put the clan first. Male medicine cats may have kits anytime, but female medicine cats have to have a cat that can fill in for her when needed.
* No posting just OOC: posts, you have to post IC: posts with them.
* You must follow the warrior code.
*If you read the rules post Chezburgerz in the "other" section!
*If you are not active for atleast 3 pages of roleplay on Lightclan, and you have a high position, it will be given to someone else who is active!
Thank you!

1. Defend your clan, even with your life. You may have friendships with cats from other Clans, but your loyalty must remain to your Clan.
2. Do not hunt or trespass on another Clan’s territory.
3. Elders and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors.
4. Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to Starclan for its life.
5. A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice.
6. Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name.
7. A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice.
8. The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies or retires.
9. After the death or retirement of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh.
10. A gathering of all Clans is held at the full moons during a truce that lasts for the night. There shall be no fighting among Clans at this time.
11. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats.
12. No warrior may neglect a kit in pain or in danger, even if that kit is from a different Clan.
13. The word of the Clan leader is the warrior code.
14. An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win his or her battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or it is necessary for self-defense.
15. A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet.

Prey
Insects
These creatures aren't necessarily a staple in LightClan cat diets, nor do they even make a reasonable snack. Large beetles and fast-moving underground insects are targets for young Apprentice training, however, as their first prey. As for Warriors... they're entertaining...?

Mice
These, unlike insects, are very likely prey animals -- they are the most common creature excepting cats that inhabit LightClan territory. They'll satisfy the belly of any average-sized cat for a while, but they aren't always that helpful for the growling of the larger cats' stomachs. They're somewhat hard to catch, as their first reaction to anything is to run (and they aren't exactly tortoises, either), but for experienced hunters, asking if it was possible would be a very patronizing insult.

Fish
Being one of the largest species of animals that inhabits LightClan, there are many breeds -- most are safely edible, but there are some forbidden breeds of these water-dwelling creautures, as well.

Bats
Bats are small flying prey animals found only in the tunnels and caverns of LightClan's karst. As they are mostly skin and bones, they aren't a very likely choice, but do contain just about as much meat as the common mouse. However, they are difficult to catch, and it's usually not worth bothering to go through for such a small creature. (They are fun to catch though, and these are often used as training instruments for some Apprentices.)

Hedgehogs
Hedgehogs are small creatures similar to moles, but they have a protective "jacket" of sharp spines. When threatened, they will extend these points for protection, but they can be avoided; not only by avoiding the animal altogehter, but by figuring out ways to evade their slightly feeble attacks. After all, they are herbivores.

Small Birds
There are many breeds of this species, and all are edible. However, they are evasive animals that flee at the rustle of a leaf -- and they fly. Many are very difficult to catch, but if you do, they're equivelant to moles when it comes to satisfying hunger.
(*Breeds don't matter; we've got tropical rabbits. -_-)

Moles
These rodents qualify as some of the not-so-common prey animals in LightClan, but not because there is a scarcity -- it's because they're so elusive that not very many cats are able to find one, let alone catch it. They're small, as well, but their muscular bodies are filling enough.

Rabbits
Rabbits, as part of the rodent category, are a fast species of prey that are unspokenly reserved for experienced hunters -- not that a young newbie targeting a rabbit is forbidden or anything, but it's obviously difficult to catch one of these little furballs...

Porcupines
Like hedgehogs, porcupines have a protective layer of sharp spines coating their outerside made for self-defense. However, porcupines are much larger than hedgehogs and therefore pose a much larger threat. Their meat, though, is ideal for feeding. That is, if you can get to it...

Badgers
Badgers are dangerous predators, but can be caught and eaten if there are enough cats to pull off the task. They aren't necessarily common meals, but they are an option.

Boars
Boars are even more dangerous than badgers because of their extreme teritorial nature and protectiveness over their possessions (this includes their families, as it gives a perfect example of their mindset). Their young are very easily killed, as long as there's an experienced enough hunter to get it done quickly and without the mother noticing -- which is rare.

Deer
Full-grown deer are obviously much too large for any cat to kill, but their young aren't. It's not very often you see a cat dragging a baby deer by a limb through the narrow passages of inner LightClan territory, to the fresh-kill pile, but it has been done.

Threats
Rats
Rats are edible, but eating one (or more) is a dangerous risk to take, as most rats carry diseases that are contagious to cats -- any anything else that eats the disease carrier...

Wolves
These beasts should be avoided by cats at all costs. Attempting to kill one would be the most immature thing a cat could do, unless in self-defense and accompanied by a companion or two. It is nearly impossible to kill one of these on your own (full-grown at least).

Forbidden
Crows of Prey
Crows of prey are a symbol of wolves in LightClan, and they represent that wolves are near. Catching and eating a crow is of badluck if they fly overhead.

Monkeys & Apes
In Lightclan we rarely see any Monkeys or apes, But in the rare occasion we should stay away. They could be farely dangerous to the Clan, and attacking one is often used as a sign of rebellion against LightClan or a sign of the beginning of a war; in which case the leader of the Clan will kill one single monkey and light it on fire as a symbol to other allies that a war is begining.
