Moonstar stared at the clear sky and would always think. 'why is this place called Moonclan?' At
was a question that always troubled her, but things would come back to her. And the troubled memories scarred her for life.

Flashback or the past of Moonclan: Moonclan was named because of the first early ancestors Hawkstar, he thought the name didn't make any sense himself. Moonclan was on the forest floor next to 3 large oak trees up against the bottom of a mountain. Hawkstar would go to 'Meetings' or Gatherings now. He would always look at the moon and back down at Moonclan. Moonclan wasn't that big back then, there would only be such as few cats in each clan. At one of the meetings there were several leaders leading to several clans, Hawk star would be 3rd to speak. "I Hawkstar, have come up with a name for my clan! The 3 large oak trees would always circle the full moon. So i name this clan, Moonclan!" All of Moonclan howled and cheered in agreement.

But what troubled Moonstar had happened when she was a kit. Her father was just an ordinary warrior, Moonpaw, at the time, would be furious at everyone calling her father weak. Shadowwind (Her father) told everything to the leader. The leader at the time was Redstar. Redstar knew about Hawkstar and all his relatives and the ones that switched clans, and the ones that still are in the same clan today. Redstar was shocked at Shadowwinds story, and announced a clan meeting. "Everyone that says Shadowwind is weak, shame on you!" He growled "Shadowwind is Hawkstar's great, great, great, great, great, great, great grandson!" The whole clan gasped with whispers and jealous comments.

Moonstar remembered when all the angry jealous cats killed him in the warriors den... Her mom Sliverash tryed to kill them. But failed... Moonstar always went to there grave every full moon with tears in her eyes.

Brindleheart walked up to the half frozen lake almost falling in. She manages to get out and starts to lick her fur clean. "Stupid water!" She hissed

Brindleheart felt the horrible earthquake as well, she heard a squeak. Noticing her mouse ran away. She looked to see if anyone was hurt. She looked over the ledge to the small hill and saw red kit crushed by rocks beside her was Snowstorm. She sighed in relief. But walked over there to see if the young she-cat needed some help.

She stares at the mountain across from her's. "Leaf-bare is here." She shuddered at the thought of many cats dying from green cough.

She padded towards a tall try and saw a squirrel climb up the tree, it knocked down all the snow on the branch. She hissed at the squirrel and climbed the tree to try and get it.
