"I guess," Courteney said, a little embaresed.

After going through many means of security, Emilt pulled into a parking garage. She got out and opened up the girl's door. "What's your name?" she asked as she relized she didn'y know it yet.

Courteney smiled for a second. "Mom was right, I am a magnet for trouble," she said. Courteney looked at the staircase, waiting for Alex to do something.

"Alright then Lexi. Let's get you out," she said, and unbuckled the seat that Lexi was in. She had it for when one of her co-workers needed her to watch her child.

Emily closed the door and locked the veehicle behind Lexi. She led the way to another door with security.

Emily looked down at Lexi. "A lot," she answered. She walked up to one pf the security men and held up a badge. "I know I'm we're not supposed to bring children here, but I found her in the street this morning with no parents and haave no where else for her. Could you make th eexeption?" she asked.
The guard nodded and moved, letting the two in.

Emily walked into an elevator.

Emily looked at Adam. "I found her wandering the streets this morning," she explained.

The elavator doors opened Emily knew this would be the hard part. Explaining this to her boss.

Courteney stared at the man. Why did he do that? she thought.

Emily stepped out of the elevator.

When the police came in, Alex quickly resorted to what he didn't want to do. "It was him that took the girls," he lied smoothly, pointing at Harry.

Emily slapped Adam on the head. "Nothing," she silently hissed.
