Wolfstar dipped her head. "Thank you." She stepped up and began,"Like many other clans, Echoclan is doing well. First, we have two new apprentices: Swiftpaw and Sunpaw..."

Wolfstar leaped down from the cliff. She stepped up to Swiftkit and Sunkit. "Swiftkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Swiftpaw. Your mentor will be Rabbitfoot. I hope Rabbitfoot will pass down all she knows to you..."

Wolfstar continued," We also have a new warrior: Springfall. Hollystar,...." Wolfstar turned her head, wanting to talk about Hollystar's clan.

"Echoclan would help with your rouge problem, if you were to allow that. But, my apologies, my clan cannot, for we are too far away to make the journey," Wolfstar mewed. "I am sorry."

Wolfstar waited for Swiftkit to touch noses with her new mentor, before turning to Sunkit.

Wolfstar nodded. "That is all." She stepped back to her place by Crumblestar.

"I'm sure," Wolfstar agreed.

"Sunkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Sunpaw. Your mentor will be Skyfall. I hope she will pass down all she knows to you." Wolfstar mewed.

"It's fine," Wolfstar reassured the leader. "They are Echoclan's friends. They won't bother us."

Wolfstar now stepped up to Springpaw. "I, Wolfstar, leader of Echoclan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has learned the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn." She looked down at Springpaw. "Springpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend this clan, even at the cost of your life?"

"They must have been different from ours," Wolfstar said. "Another leader may go," she mewed, feeling a bit of silence creep around.

"I can understand that," Wolfstar meowed. She laid the tip of her tail on Badgerstar's shoulder.

Wolfstar smiled, then watched for another leader to step up and share news.

"Then by the powers of Starclan I give you your warrior name: Springpaw, from this moment you will be known as Springfall. Starclan honors your spirit and your bravery, and we welcome you as a full warrior of Echoclan." Wolfstar stepped forward and rest her silver muzzle on top of Springfall's bowed head.

Wolfstar flicked her ear, and stepped back.

Wolfstar was shocked. What happened to those cats? she thought, remembering Soraingeagle and Lifetruce.

Wolfstar waved bye to Crumblestar. "We'll be sure to look out for the cat, Universestar. Thank you."

"From your shock of being named deputy, you must have forgotten. The bad news was that Blazingshadow had to move to the elder's den." Wolfstar said, turning to her new deputy.

"Echoclan must leave as well. We left our territory at sunrise to get here," Wolfstar put in. "See you at the next gathering." She leaped down and called for her clan.
