Greyshadow sighed as the bark started to work it's magic and his shoulder started to feel better. "Ah, much better." He mewed softly. Something in his voice sounded different, as if he was still wounded. He started to sound like this after his return. Greyshadow laid down off to the side but close to Robinpaw. After licking Robinpaw's ear he looked to Coldstream, planning on talking to her but not sure how or if it was even a good idea.
Robinpaw twitched slightly at the touch.
-
Salmonpaw instantly dropped the grin, "Nothin'" She mumbled. She kept walking and walked with her head a little higher.
-
Greyshadow sighed, "I feel as if I have lost respect from the clan. Respect that I don't think I can get back. I worked hard for that... from kit hood, to my apprentice ship, to my warrior naming ceremony and beyond." That was not everything he planned on saying in his confession, but he thought this was a great place to start.
-
Salmonpaw started to frown as she watched Snakebite. Ok, something had to be up, right? Warriors don't just walk that clumsily. She was going to murmur something but a root caught her off guard and she stumbled, lifting her head to prevent the egg sac from falling but that just made her fall on her shoulder. "Ahh!!" She spat, hoping the egg was not broken.
-
"Oh no, Coldstream. Who has convinced you of this? You are worth more then just a healer. At least to me." Greyshadow flicked his ear and then took this pause to think about what she said. "The battles, huh? I thought it was because I left..."
-
Greyshadow lowered his ears momentarily before flicking an ear towards her, "What are your thoughts on love, Coldstream? I know you cannot have a mate... but you must know some things about it."
-
Salmonpaw pawed the leaf bundle with a little snort of her own annoyance, "No, the eggs fine..." But my shoulder, on the other hand, is killing me! The grey she-cat got to her paws and picked up the bundle carefully, starting to pad over to Snakebite. She tried not to limp but wasn't completely successful.
-
Greyshadow was about to say something until Icekit talked, he twitched his whiskers and closed his mouth, indicating a silence he'll keep until they are alone.
-
"Pft, no..." Salmonpaw began then looked at Snakebite and put her bundle down. "Ok, ok, yes. So what? It'll heal."
-
Greyshadow looked at Icekit and sighed to himself. He then watched over Robinpaw until Icekit left.
-
"Well i was walking before you stopped." Salmonpaw replied a little bitterly.
-
Something that has never before been seen on Greyshadow's face was there, frustration. He rose to his paws. "Perhaps this is a sign I shouldn't be talking about this." He looked to Colstream then at Icekit.
-
Greyshadow looked at Lilypaw and flicked his ear, "Are you worrying again? You're too young to fret, and even if you weren't things turn out the way they do for a reason." His amber eyes gazed heavily on her with a spark of intensity.
-
Salmonpaw growled a little but picked up the leaf sac and limped after her mentor. Great, just great. Once again the young apprentice thought she had got a mouse-brained, hot-headed, mentor.... what did she do to deserve this?
Darkpaw padded along in search for prey until he came across Daisypaw, "Hey.." he mewed
-
Coldstream walked back to her herbs, not wanting to intrude on any conversations.
Lilypaw pawed the flower before looking back at the tom. "I'm... fine," she purred to him. She didn't like lying to him, but she didn't want anyone to possibly be worrying about her. "I'm only worrying because of all of the attacks on LightClan lately." Her gaze dropped to the flower, and she pawed it again. She sounded somewhat believable, but she always gave away when she was lying by her body language.
Greyshadow shifted on his paws, "The attacks are worrisome but that is not the issue at hand, is it?" He asked this more rhetorically since he has always been able to read her. The tom soon laid by Robinpaw as he still watched Lilypaw.
-
Salmonpaw placed her leaf bundle on the fresh-kill pile silently then limped to the medicine cat den. "Hello?" She mewed. When she noticed no one was there she sat down and flattened her ears in irritation.
Darkpaw purred a little in amusement at her jump, "I saw you looking into the water." He murmured in his normal soft spoken voice. "Just came over to see if you're ok.."
-
"I fell on it." Salmonpaw replied, sounding irritated, most likely because she was in pain. The grey apprentice flicked her tail at Frostpaw, "Can you fix it?"
-
Salmonpaw did as she was told and lapped up the crushed herbs and looked a little disgusted. She then took a drink of water from the moss. "Thanks. So can I leave now?"
-
"Yeah, yeah, I know." Salmonpaw retreated from the med. cat den and padded to the fresh-kill pile. She grabbed a mouse and laid in the shade. She began to eat, mumbling a little to herself.
Riverblood padded into the camp with 3 pieces of prey. The tom dropped it onto the pile and glanced at his daughter, snorting and padded to the warriors den for some sleep.
-
Greyshadow rose his head when Bloodpaw entered. He then looked at Lilypaw and sighed, "Let me make one thing easier on you.." This was the last thing he said before standing and padding out of the medicine cat den. He kept going, not even stopping to say hello to any cat he passed. When the camp was immediately behind him, Greyshadow turned right and padded along until he came into a clearing where he sat and listened to the birds singing to one another. He thought all the interruptions was a sign from Starclan that he should leave it alone.
