It would be very bad if you got possessed.
Those words had a very haunting sound to them. She understood, but it was just...It was a terrifying thought. Even more so now that there was the added 'an evil cat could use your powers for evil' aspect to it.
The StarClan cat was right though. She did need to learn how to control it. Use it for good, and not let it get out of control. All of that kind of thing.
And then she realized that she had accepted it finally. Before she was too afraid to accept, or even believe the fact that she had such a power. But now? Now she was far more afraid that, having the power, something bad could come of it.
She blinked, still surprised with herself, and looked back up at Blisscloud. "Yes," she replied clearly. "Yes, extra training would be good."

Ah, problem solving. This was something that Emberpaw was good at.
Though she'd never solved a problem involving a ghost. This would likely be more difficult.
She sat there for several moments, her grey eyes narrowed in concentration. "I don't know... I can see the problem, but... what could one possibly do for the solution?" She asked aloud, talking half-to herself. Well, she could always possess another cat. Or... "What if..." And she didn't quite like the thought of this, but there didn't seem to be another way, "what if, if this is possible, you sort of... possessed me, but didn't control me. Just sort of observed what I do, how I move, how much strength I use, and so on?" It was all she could come up with, except for maybe practicing fighting on a bush, but that seemed to cause more problems than it would have solved.

(OOC: Oh, pfft, I wasn't even thinking. XDD Don't worry about it, we can do this the other way, the way I should have seen before. *sigh* Sorry, I just woke up. My mind is not working great right now. XDD
Emberpaw blinked. Of course! Why hadn't she thought of it before!
"Wait, you mentioned StarClan lands... I didn't even think of that!" She mewed. It was hard, getting used to her abilities. "That would probably work better, if we trained in a dream." Not to mention it would be more comfortable for both of us.

The pale ginger tabby had lain awake all night. Her anxiety made it impossible to sleep in such a crowded den. She glanced around, her grey eyes hardly having been closed through the night, and saw no one else stir. Quickly, she got to her paws, picked her way across the den, and padded out into the clearing.
Emberpaw liked the open space while it was like this--nearly empty. There was just a small group of older cats on the other side of the camp, but that was it. The she-cat managed a smile and walked over to the fresh-kill pile. Might as well enjoy some food while I can eat it in peace, she mused, prodding through the pile of prey with her white paw. Spotting a nice sized fish, the apprentice picked it up in her jaws and carried it over to a corner where she began to eat.
-
The apprentice nodded, her grey eyes glinting with a hint of determination. "Okay," she agreed. Hopefully she would find her way there. She had by accident once, surely it couldn't be too hard to do it purposefully, right?

(OOC: Oh, I don't know. Probably relatively soon, I guess.)
Anything...different? Oh yeah, she'd noticed things that were different about her from every other cat, but she doubted that her anxiety disorders and just general issues were what Acornkit was talking about. "Well..." She began, thinking back. Not that it required much thought. Anything that had been very unusual and different had all happened rather recently. "I mean, I've been able to know what someone was feeling, like, emotion-wise, without them telling me. It's weird, I've just...been able to feel it, if that makes sense..." She mewed, closing her eyes as she thought. It sounded even sillier out loud than in her thoughts. She had to be going insane, and this was just a hallucination. "And...I've seen flashes of images... Like memories, or something...but they're not mine..."
-
This was Emberpaw's first battle.
And...it was not going well so far. She was surrounded by cats, so many cats, from two different clans. Or tribes, whatever. And her social anxiety disorder was kicking in full blast. Her pelt bristled in fear, both from the fear of large groups, and the general fear of battle. But this was for her clan, and she would fight to the death, if it was necessary.
She certainly hoped that it wouldn't be, however.
Her grey eyes glanced around the area, taking everything in. She flexed her claws nervously, wondering if she should attack, or wait for someone to come after her.

(OOC: I'm thinking new thread. If that's okay with you. :) )
"So... Moonhigh?" She asked, getting to her paws. She was a bit skeptical about this whole thing, and a little nervous, but she found that she was also...oddly excited. Maybe because it was rather an honour to be trained by StarClan themselves.
-
(OOC: I'll start the next thread asap and PM it to you. :) )
Emberpaw nodded. She had to be there at moonhigh, so she'd go to sleep a bit before that. Being early was better than being late. She watched as the StarClan warrior disappeared before her eyes--a very strange sight--before turning around and slowly padding back to camp. At least tonight was looking to be rather interesting.
-
Not as mouse-brained as she thought? Maybe the kit was insane too. Or, the dream was just another hallucination...
"Use them wisely? There's no real point in using them at all," Emberpaw mewed, shaking her head. Really, what was the point in poking around in someone's memories or emotions anyway? "Besides, it's not like I can really control it anyway. I never plan for it to happen. I just feel what someone's feeling as they walk by, I don't even have to talk to them. And the memories?" Those had scared her quite a bit. "They just happen. Sometimes while I'm interacting with someone, and sometimes just when I'm nearby." The apprentice shuddered as she remembered the most recent one she had seen: being attacked by dogs. There had been snapping jaws and blood everywhere... It was safe to say that she hadn't gotten much sleep in the following days.
-
The ginger tabby blinked, surprised at the sudden break-down of the warrior. As she cried, Emberpaw could feel every bit of her sorrow and distress. She ruffled her fur a little, trying to get the feeling to go away. She was unsuccessful.
"Oh, I'm, um... I'm sorry to hear that," the apprentice mumbled. She was no good at comforting others. "That...that's got to be tough..." Why was Northernlight's telling her all of this anyway? Did she just look like a good confidant? It was a curious situation that seemed to just grow curiouser.
-
The apprentice nodded slowly. She didn't even know where to begin to try to control these...things...if they ended up being real. Which was still unlikely, in her mind.
"Well, I...I suppose I'll just to see what happens," she murmured, her eyes glancing back down at her paws.
-
The anxious ginger tabby looked around the battlefield, her grey eyes wide. She had to do something, she had to start fighting. She would do it for RiverClan.
Emberpaw took a few tentative steps forward and scanned the area for someone she could fight. Her claws flexed nervously and her fur stood on end. She was afraid, this being her first battle and all, but she would try her best.
-
Emberpaw had noticed the other apprentice stalking a dove, and started to panic once she realized that he was heading right in her direction. She wanted to move, but she couldn't. If she did, she would definitely be seen, whereas if she stayed in the bush, she might still get away without being noticed.
It all came crashing down though, literally, when the tom slammed down into the bushes. And he had definitely seen her.
The she-cat backed up a little, startled by the whole event. Her shoulder fur began to bristle a little as she entered the discomfort that was a social situation. His flirtation did not make it any easier for her. "Er, I'm... I was... Um..." She stumbled along on the words and stared furiously down at her paws, not wanting to make eye contact. "Nothing."
-
Emberpaw sighed a little. This was so...weird. It just didn't make much sense. As she was about to say something else, however, the apprentice found that everything around her was fading. The kit before her was disappearing into darkness, as was the scenery around her.
Not a moment later, the ginger tabby's eyes snapped open, only to find herself back in the apprentices den. She glanced around. Everything was still the same, except that there was a tinge of pink on the horizon. The sun was coming up, and her dream was over.
-
The apprentice had no idea she was being followed. That is, not until she heard a reed snap behind her. She snapped to attention and out of her thoughts. What...
Her grey eyes wide, she turned her head to see what it was that had made the reed snap. Behind her, it appeared, a lilac warrior had followed her. If she had been a less anxious cat, her eyes would have narrowed in suspicion. But, as things were, she just turned around to face the other she-cat, looking quite fearful.
Why had she been followed anyways? It's not like she was up to anything. But maybe, with how nervous she had looked, it might have appeared as though she was.
"Erm... what...what are you doing?" She asked, unable to appear or even sound demanding. Though she really wanted to know the answer.
-
The apprentice remained silent for a moment, taking the other cat in. Now that she had relaxed a little from the scare, she recognized the warrior as Obscurityglow. She'd never really interacted with this she-cat, but she had noticed her around.
Though she did relax a little, the fur on her shoulders stayed bristled in anxiety. "Oh. Well..." She murmured. It was a bit of a surprise to hear that the warrior had only followed to see if she was okay. That is, if she was telling the truth. "I'm, um, fine." It was mostly true. She got nervous a lot, so she was pretty used to hit.
Then, she was hit with a sudden idea. She could test her power out on the warrior. She felt a little bad, but...it would be worth it in the end, right? She took a few steps forward, toward Obscurityglow. This "Sight" seemed to work better when she was closer to the other cat.
As she drew near, she could feel the she-cat's embarrassment, and...some discomfort, if she was right. The ginger blinked. What was she so nervous about?
-
As she continued toward the other she-cat, Emberpaw reached out, trying to see if she couldn't find a memory. It wasn't long before she did indeed. She saw Obscurityglow and a tom she didn't know. They had planned to become loners, together...But...the tom had drowned in a river. Not the RIverClan river, a different one, an unfamiliar one to the apprentice.
Hearing her name, Emberpaw snapped out of it. She blinked a few times, still not quite used to coming out of a memory to reality so quickly. She shook her head clear and stopped walking, figuring she was close enough to the warrior now. "Yes?" She asked quickly, looking up at Obscurityglow. Her emotions had changed quickly, Emberpaw guessed it was caused by the memory, and she was now filled with sorrow. Even though it wasn't really her fault, the apprentice now felt bad for bringing the warrior so close to the river.

(OOC: Aww, that sucks.)
Emberpaw shuffled a little, feeling a bit awkward. "Er...I just, um, needed to get out of the camp..." She answered. "Clear my head..." Keep the anxiety disorder out of it, she always told herself. Though apparently most of the clan knew about her OCD, none of them understood social anxiety disorder, and she had long ago learned that there was little point in explaining it.
-
Emberpaw cuffed the grass at her feet lightly, wishing she could avoid the question. Her ears lowered a touch and she looked down at the ground, not wanting to look at the she-cat as she explained herself.
"No, really, I..." She started, but shook her head. There was no point. She was a pretty awful liar, and wasn't in the mood to argue. "I just don't like crowds." The words came out in a mumble. "I get, um, really anxious and..." She took a deep breath. "I, er, often get panic attacks...."
