Seeing the tom get up, Emberpaw nodded and turned around. "Er, just... follow me," she told him, trying to ignore the other cats. If she focused on them, she would probably have a panic attack. And now was not the time for one of those. But then again, when was a good time for one?
She shook her head clear and started off at a slow walk, glancing back to make sure the loner followed. The other cats could if they wanted to, though she wasn't big on the idea.

(OOC: Switching over to sub-account mode.
)The pale ginger tabby appreciated the silence as they padded along. It had given her time to think things through a little more. She began to relax a little as she was able to think without being interrupted with chatter.
So... she did have a power then? This... Sight? Well, it might explain some of the odd happenings that had gone on as of late. Emberpaw let out a small sigh and pulled herself from her thoughts. As she looked up from her paws, she saw a small pond. It was a rather pretty area. She watched as Acornkit ran and leaped into the water, and was unable to keep her whiskers from twitching a little. Was this kit a RiverClanner like she? Most other clans disliked swimming.
Emberpaw then found herself tempted to take a nice, relaxing dip. But there was so much that needed thinking out! -
(OOC: Sure!)
Emberpaw, trembling, now covered her eyes with her paws. She knew being unable to see everyone and everything just made the anxiety worse, but she just needed it all to stop! She shook her head and felt the sudden urge to vomit.
Suddenly, she sensed a cloud of dull sorrow approaching her. I guess this annoying power can come in handy at times, she mused while quickly removing her paws from her eyes. They glanced up at the warrior that was now standing over her, and she gave a little jump. She had thought that whoever it was had been a bit farther off.
Now on her paws, the apprentice shuffled backwards a little, bumping into the camp wall. "Er.. y-yeah. Perfectly fine," she mumbled, obviously lying. "Great. Really awesome. Freaking perfect." Now her words were getting to the sarcastic region of tones, with a hint of bitterness. -
Emberpaw could sense the warrior's impatience and gave a little flinch. She hadn't meant to be rude, or at least not intentionally. She was just bitter over the fact that she couldn't stand to be around others. But the fact that the warrior had retorted irritated her a little. She got enough snappy, annoyed retorts from her mentor.
"Yeah? Well neither do you. What are you so upset about anyway?" She asked grumpily. She wasn't sure now if she was trying to antagonize the other she-cat, or if her anxiety was just making her irritable and snippy. It was probably both, to be honest. -
(OOC: Woot, I'm sub-accounting it now!
)"Okay," Emberpaw nodded and thought for a moment. Where should she take her? She hadn't planned to take the younger kit far from camp, just in case, but...seeing how they were already out here... "How 'bout the river?" She asked, her grey eyes lighting up with enthusiasm now that she had pushed thoughts of getting caught and punished from her mind. t was nice to feel so carefree. She'd never really experienced anything like it before.

(OOC: XD Woo!
Emberpaw was unable to contain a small laugh at the kit's enthusiasm. "I hate to tell you, but you're headed the wrong way!" The apprentice called out, hoping the kit wasn't too far ahead to hear her. She shook her head slowly as she waited to hear back from Cheer. Kits. What silly little creatures.
-
Emberpaw blinked, surprised by the warrior's attitude change again. Had she hit a nerve? Or had the other she-cat just realized that she had been a bit rude? Either way, the apprentice shrugged.
"It's okay," she murmured, looking down at her paws. "I, er, I'm sorry too. I've been just, um, dealing with some...stuff. Hard to explain..." She trailed off, but her gaze remained fixed on her toes. "I've been...fine. You?" -
Emberpaw let out a small sigh. A happy sigh. It was so nice here.
'Excuse me, but are you Emberpaw?'
These words startled the poor apprentice, and she leaped into the air and onto her paws. She hadn't heard or even smelled anyone approach! Eyes wide, she turned to face the one who had interrupted her peace, only to see a rather see-through figure. She blinked and stared at it for a few more moments, trying to process what was going on.
"Oh, you're kidding. So I was right. I'm going insane. Completely bonkers. Absolutely mad." The ginger tabby rambled on to herself, not believe that she was really seeing a spirit. It had to be her imagination. Her obviously crazy imagination. That had to be it. -
No. No way. This was not happening. This was impossible!
...Right?
I've sensed emotions in others, I've seen weird flashes, memories, that aren't mine, and I've actually been to StarClan. Do I really think that this of all things is impossible?
Emberpaw sighed. Her anxiety was certainly not helping the strange situation, but the fact that she was apparently talking to a ghost made it a bit easier to talk, for whatever reason. "Yeah, I'm Emberpaw," she murmured, looking at the other she-cat, but not meeting her gaze. "Erm... nice to...meet you?" -
The apprentice blinked, surprised at the sudden change of subject. Though, she supposed she shouldn't have been. StarClan cats didn't appear because they wanted to chat. It usually meant they had something, and not often a good something, to discuss. Why they wanted her Emberpaw was beyond her.
"Scallionstar?" She repeated, thinking all of the names she knew over. It wasn't a leader of one of the four main clans, so she didn't recognize it. "Er, no." She answered finally, shaking her head slightly and shuffling awkwardly. Should she have known that name? It was obviously something important... -
Ohhhh, SkyClan. That's why she hadn't heard of him. She didn't know much about that clan yet.
When the question was asked, Emberpaw tilted her head to the side. That was so easy, why bothering asking it? Why not just...continue the story, or whatever it was that she was talking about. "StarClan," she mewed simply, listening intently. -
"Wait, what?" Emberpaw asked, her fur bristling. That was just wrong. Why would he accept lives from the Dark Forest instead of StarClan? "I didn't even know they could give lives..." That was news to her. Bad news. Nothing good ever came from the Dark Forest. And this sounded really bad.
-
(OOC: Sorry Moonheart, this is a private thread. :) )
"No way. That's not..." Emberpaw broke of, shaking her head furiously. "They can't... I mean..." She was having a hard time talking, it was all so... unbelievable, and to be honest, it was freaking her out. A lot. "They...really? But...why?" What was the Dark Forest up to? Trying to take over all of the clans? -
The apprentice couldn't help but be surprised when she saw the kit come out of the water with a fish in her mouth. She'd never seen a kit catch prey before. It was honestly quite shocking.
"Er, yeah," she mewed, giving a tiny nod. "You swim so well, and...well, you um, caught that fish..." She trailed off, giving a small shrug. She imagined anyone would have thought the same thing. -
So... StarClan was offering training to cats to help fight the Dark Forest? Or rather, to fight the cats that were being possessed by Dark Forest cats.
"Saw something... in me...?" She mewed, repeating the words slowly, disbelieving me. How could they have seen anything in her? She wasn't a great fighter, she wasn't strong, and her OCD made it a pain to learn any moves. There were so many other cats that were better for this than she. "Are you sure it's not just because for some weird reason I can see you?" -
Emberpaw hesitated at the mention of The Sight. She had been told about it in one of her dreams, but none of the StarClan cats had known if she had it or not. It had been confusing. No one had known why she was there, or how she had ended up there.
"Well, um, I don't know...what it is exactly. No one's really explained it though..." She mewed slowly, her tail twitched oddly as she stared down at her paws. "But I've, um, I have heard of it..." -
"Oh..." She murmured, trying to cover up any surprise she felt. Which was a lot. She had noticed that she was able to sense others' emotions lately, but she'd figured it was nothing. Mostly. Weird, but nothing. And she'd been trying to forget any other weird happenings.
"That's...that's pretty weird... I didn't know..." She shook her head. It was all a bit confusing. Her grey eyes raised up from her paws and up to the face of the StarClanner, though she still avoided eye contact. "I didn't know it was possible for anyone to see the future. Except StarClan." -
Emberpaw nodded slowly. It must have been pretty disappointing to die as a kit, she realized. But Acornkit didn't show any signs of sadness about it.
"Really? That is surprising," she mewed. "I would never have guessed SnowClan." The last word came out as she looked down at the fish. It did look appetizing. But, she was just dreaming, it;s not like it was a real fish...right? StarClan was kind of confusing...
Feeling a little odd, having a kit tell her what to do, Emberpaw leaned down and took a small bite of the fish. She still felt a little on edge, but she was calming down a bit now, especially since there was only one cat near her instead of five or six. -
The apprentice took a few more bites of the fish before standing back up. Licking her maw, she glanced back over at Acornkit, who had been a little quiet. She had to wonder how much longer this dream was going to last.
-
Emberpaw just sat quietly, listening to Blisscloud speak. To be honest, she too had started to think that as well. But she just had a very hard time believing it. Why, of all cats to get such an amazing power, would she get it? She with her two anxiety disorders and so weak... It made little sense.
"I see..." She murmured finally, her grey eyes returning to her paws. "But, even if I did have this power, the Sight, what would it matter?"
