Emberpaw flinched as the other cat, now apparent to her to ba an apprentice as well, jumped up and snapped at her. Although the she-cat sounded angry, Emberpaw could sense her embarrassment. She obviously didn't like being caught being so upset.
Ears flattened and eyes wide, the ginger tabby blinked and shook her head. "S-sorry," she murmured a moment later. It had taken her a moment to find her voice as anxiety pulsed through her. Conversing with others did that to her. "I didn't mean to interrupt your crying--er, thoughts." She caught herself too late, her stupid mouth just spitting things out in a panic, trying to escape the awkward situation.

As the other apprentice advanced, Emberpaw shrank back and took a few steps away. She just nodded, her voice no use to her right now.She had no one to tell anyway, not that she would have if she did. She knew she wouldn't want anyone to tel any of her secrets.
Watching the sad she cat slump over, not looking at her, sympathy lit the ginger's grey eyes. She did feel bad for the other cat, no matter how rude she was or how angry she got for being caught. "I'm sorry," Emberpaw mewed again, this time about whatever was troubling the other cat, not about interrupting her. But she didn't leave as she was told. That felt more awkward than staying. Something told her that the apprentice needed help, someone to talk to. Though Emberpaw was not at all the best cat for the job here, she felt like she had been found this cat for a reason. Maybe she could help, if the other apprentice was willing. -
The apprentice flicked a ginger ear. Why would she think that Emberpaw was only here to make fun of her? Not all cats were so cruel. She shook her head. "No, why would I want to do that?" She asked, trying to relax. While it was difficult for her to relax around any cat, it was even harder around such a cross one. You never knew if they might attack. Nonetheless, she sat down nervously, her pelt still bristling.
"I'm, um, Emberpaw." She added, remembering that the other apprentice had asked for her name. -
The pale ginger tabby blinked. She supposed she could see what Clearpaw meant--cats were big on gossiping and insulting others. And with Clearpaw's attitude, she could see others being quite rude to her.
"I have no interest in hurting you in any way," Emberpaw mewed, gingerly wrapping her tail around her paws. "That's... just such a stupid thing to do." She was surprised that the other apprentice told her her name. That was rather unexpected, what with the situation. -
Emberpaw shrugged her small shoulders. "Yeah, well some, or rather most cats are idiots," she murmured, an edge in her tone. That was something that had always irritated her, and forever would: idiots.
Feeling a bit more confident around this cat, Emberpaw's fur began to relax and lay down a bit. "But trust me, I am not an idiot." She was quiet, awkward, anxious, and obsessive compulsive, but stupid she was not. -
The tabby gave a snort. "It's true. So unfortunately true..." She murmured, a small smile appearing on her face. Emberpaw was glad to see the other apprentice cheering a little. She wasn't usually the one to do this for cats, but she found that it felt... pretty darn good. Too bad her social skills were crap.
(OOC: It's okay. c: )

Emberpaw blinked, surprised the tom knew her name. She couldn't remember his. But she hadn't even met half of the warriors yet, so that made sense. "Er, hi," she mewed, her heart rate increasing as she entered into a conversation with the warrior. As he sat down near her so his fur brushed against hers, the pale ginger tabby flicked an ear, feeling even more awkward. While she was terrible in social situations, she was worse when phyisical contact was involved.
Feeling his eyes leave her and look down at his own paws, she turned to look at him. "Erm, what's wrong?" She asked, knowing not what else to say. -
Emberpaw was headed to the river again. It was her favorite place. The sound of the river was just so soothing to her anxieties, and she was usually alone. As she drew closer, however, she noticed that there was someone already there. Someone she didn't recognize, and they were just... sitting there.
She blinked her grey eyes, and once she realized that the strange cat was facing this way, she knew it would have seen her. She couldn't turn around and run away...
Her pale ginger tabby fur began to bristle, not in anger, but rather in fear. Slowly, she approached the cat, which she now recognized as a tom and not a clan cat from his scent, and hesitantly dipped her head in greeting. "H-hello," she stammered, her heart rate picking up as she entered into conversation with another cat. "I have to, um, ask... what are you doing here?" -
(OOC: Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. I've been busy. :)
Oh, and do you mind if she uses The Sight on him? It would just be to sense his emotions, unless you wanted her to see a memory or two of his.)Emberpaw noticed to tom looked to be almost in pain. But she might have been misreading his expression. She tilted her head ever so slightly to she side at his answer, and she let her grey eyes look him over. He didn't look like he was going to cause any problems or attack her, but one could never be too sure. "Er, what kind of help?" She asked in a quiet voice. Then she realized he was holding out his paw, which was shredded and looked extremely painful. "Oohhh, you need the medicine cat?" She couldn't believe that she hadn't noticed before. Must have been the anxiety that had prevented it.

The apprentice couldn't help but feel bad for the poor she-cat, despite not knowing her, or what was going on here. She watched the distressed serval cry, but froze as she started sniffing, as though she had caught an interesting scent. It... it wasn't hers, right? It couldn't be good if she was found here, watching the other she-cat like a stalker. She remained silent and just stared. It seemed like all she could do.
Nim? Is that her name? Certainly not a clan name... maybe she's a loner? The apprentice mused, though it hardly mattered at the moment.(OOC: Sub-accounting it now. I keep forgetting to do that... XDD)

(OOC: Sure! That could be fun! They'll have to get close though, she won't be able to see memories if they stand to far apart, or whatever.
Also, he has a crush on her? Awww! <3)The ginger apprentice froze as she thought she heard a sound nearby. She held her breath, praying that whatever it was wouldn't find her. Whatever it had been, it seemed to leave, so she relaxed again and peeked through the branches of the bushes. Her grey eyes caught no sight of anything.
Sighing, Emberpaw let her fur lie flat. She closed her eyes and just enjoyed the silence that surrounded her. It only lasted a while though, for she heard another sound, and peeked out quickly this time. There was another cat. A tom, and an apprentice by the looks of it. Yes, she actually sort of recognized him, she'd seen him in the apprentices den. But he was running this way. Eyes wide, the fur on her shoulders bristled as he neared. He... he wouldn't see her, would he? She hoped not. -
Emberpaw blinked. Nim, if that was her name, was now heading right for her. Her eyes widened with fear, more than she was even feeling already. What now? What could she possibly do now? She needed to get out of here, and not just the here where she was about to get trampled, but the here where she wasn't where she had been five minutes ago. The ginger tabby, fur fluffed out as far as it could go, leaped off to the side and backed away, not letting her eyes leave the much larger cat. She couldn't speak; it felt like her mouth was glued shut. There was no way she could explain this situation to the other, even she didn't know what was happening!
-
Emberpaw had seen what had happened. And now she was confused. Had he just been attacking nothing? She saw him snap out of it and cocked her head to the side as he jumped down from the tree and back up again. She couldn't help but wonder what his problem was.
Knowing that he had seen her, she took a deep breath and prepared to speak to him. "Um, are you... are you okay?" She called up to him, not knowing what else to say or do. She sat up in the bushes and kept her grey eyes on him, awaiting his reply, if he chose to give one. What are you doing, being the one to initiate a conversation? She hissed at herself silently. -
Emberpaw almost sighed with relief as the other cat halted, but any relief she felt disappeared as a conversation began. She shook her head and took one more nervous step back. "N-no, it's fine..." She murmured, shaking her head again. "I'm, er, I'm Emberpaw." Okay, so they were introducing themselves to each other. The serval must not have known what had actually happened before she woke up. That was... probably for the better.
-
Schizophrenia? Whoa. She had never met anyone with that. Or any other sort of mental disorder. She watched as he climbed down the tree and approached her, giving her a smile. She tried to return it, but it ended up looking a bit forced. "Oh, that... that sucks," she murmured, not really what to say in response to that. She certainly wouldn't abruptly tell anyone about either of her disorders. Not unless it proved necessary. She looked over at him, her grey eyes looking him over before staying on his face. She avoided eye contact, however, as she was feeling far too anxious.
-
Emberpaw blinked, a hint of sympathy in her eyes. She could feel Nim's sadness and...loneliness. She watched the larger cat for a moment, as she stared down at her large paws. "No... No, I'm sorry," the apprentice mewed, hesitantly taking a step back toward Nim. "I just, you... you startled me." She lied. It wasn't as much that she was afraid of the bigger cat as it was her stupid social anxiety.
She flicked one of her orange ears. "Please...stay?" She mewed, scuffing the ground nervously with a paw. She should actually be chasing the wildcat off of RiverClan land, but... Well, she felt bad. And she was kind of curious about her. -
(OOC: Okay, cool. c: )
The apprentice watched the tom stepped back and felt a stab of sympathy for him. All he was trying to do was get some help, and yet he was...sort of being interrogated and intimidated. She opened her mouth to speak, but her mouth just hung open for a moment, as suddenly, she was no longer there. No, now she was somewhere... she couldn't tell where. All she could see was dogs, and blood. The dogs were biting, snapping, and snarling.
Then, as quickly as it had come, it was gone. She was back in RiverClan territory, staring at the loner, her mouth still hanging open. Her fur had bristled and was now basically standing on end. Blinking, she glanced around, making sure there weren't any dogs, that they were gone. But, Emberpaw realized, they had never been here... What had just happened?
Still recovering from the shock and fear, she shook her head. "Um, yeah... yeah, okay... I can... I can probably take you to them," she managed to get out, stumbling over the words. -
Emberpaw blinked and watched the tom go. What had just happened? That was probably the weirdest thing that had ever happened to her. And she had had some really strange things happen. But this took the cake, especially in the case of social interactions. Usually she was the one to run away hyperventilating. She couldn't help but feel bad for the poor tom.
She was tempted to go after him and comfort him, but she knew from experience that being followed and talked to again after one runs away from a conversation is not helpful in the least. So she just stayed there, sitting, staring after him. -
(OOC: That's fine. Low muse is the worst.)
Apparently, Emberpaw had fallen asleep. She realized this when she blinked her eyes open and the sunlight was beginning to fade. She shook her head and leaped to her paws. "Sundown?" She murmured, a worried expression setting itself on her face. "I'd better get back... Others will start to wonder where I've gone..." She quickly pulled herself to her paws and squeezed out of the bushes.
Her grey eyes wandered back to where she had seen the other apprentice disappear before she took off at a run. She needed to get back before dark. She did not want to have search parties sent out for her. -
As she was almost back at the camp, the apprentice halted in her tracks and prepared herself. The clearing would likely be crowded, filled with cats of all ages. All she needed to do was manage to get across it and into the apprentices den without having a panic attack. Easy, right? For a normal cat, yes. For one with social anxiety disorder? Not so much.
Emberpaw let out a little whimper, then took a deep breath. She could do this. Giving herself a nod, she took off at a fast trot, entered the camp, crossed the clearing, and shot into the apprentices den. Good, good... She slowly, trying not to panic, crept across the already filled den. She glanced quickly at the tom that she had met earlier, but saw that he was asleep.Letting out a small sigh, she crawled into her nest, which was pressed right up against the far edge of the den, as far away from everyone else as possible, and closed her eyes. Let's see if I can actually get any sleep this time...
