Delilah waited anxiously for the reaping to begin. She was wearing a light purple dress and her special necklace. "I hope it's not going to be me." she whispered.

Keith joined everyone else at the town square. He was feeling pretty good, the chances of his name being called were low.

Delilah twirled her hair with her finger. There was an ominous feeling in the air, like Delilah was sure to get picked and no one could stop it.

As soon as the reaping was over, Keith would go home and help his family to get food. And when the games started they would watch every movement of the District 7 people. They probably wouldn't win though, barely anyone from District 7 does. But there's nothing Keith could do to stop it.

The District 7 mayor talked on and on about the history of rebellion and The Hunger Games. Finally after he was done the announcer came up. Eliz was her name, and she was wearing the most sparkly outfit ever. She announced some girl, and then it was the boys' turn. She reaced for a piece of paper and read the name "Keith Follino!" Keith blinked in disbelief. He slowly walked up to the stage and shook hands with the girl.

Delilah watched the announcer go on stage. She never bothered to learn the announcer's name, but it was something like Betti or Betta. She reached into the glass ball for a slip of paper and read the name. "The girl for District 10 is.. Delilah Tenna!" She screamed inside her head but remained dead silent as she walked up to the stage.
