    Beau was awfully surprised that he hadn’t noticed Percy earlier. Granted, his presence wasn’t exactly in-your-face like some of the others’ here were. He watched as the other boy introduced himself, coming to realize how dreadfully charming he was. Beau had internally noted that about all the others he had spoken to as well, of course, he’s kind of a ho but this thought continued to linger through his mind.


    The brown haired male raised his eyebrows once Percy asked which spirit possessed him. He figured that question was bound to be asked soon enough after being noted of looking quite plain compared to the extravagant features of everyone else here. Beau sat back up straight and grinned.
    “A dog!” He stated proudly. “A vizsla, to be more specific. But who cares about specifics,” he waved his right hand absentmindedly, going back to leaning on his elbows.
    “I’m uh . . . not too in touch with my little spirit buddy, though,” he laughed a bit forcefully, “but I’m hoping one day to just wake up with some hardcore teeth or ears or something.”
    The boy propped his hands to the upright sides of his head, folding them over as if to imitate dog ears.


    Just at that moment, Beau saw a small bird fly somewhat gawkily around the carriage before deciding to reserve a comfy landing spot behind one of Percy’s long antlers. Realizing his hands were still raised, he put them down and resumed his previous position. He smiled crookedly, wondering whether Percy would notice the yellow and white bird taking refuge on him.

    Beau was the confident type. Never shy and always prepared to try something new. He, however, could not take any sort of compliment to save his own life. The brown haired boy maneuvered his spirited gaze far from Percy as the other spoke, breaking their eye contact. He could easily feel his cheeks heating up and was immensely glad that he had already been leaning his head on the base of his palms--it was easier to hide his face behind. He lifted his fingers up, covering the majority of his face as he kept his eyes on the ground.
    “You’re too nice,” he mumbled, lowering his fingers. He brought up his head and sat back up straight again, leaning back on his seat.


    This position hadn’t lasted very long at all, though, as the train finally came to a somewhat sudden halt which sent the boy bumbling for the window to his side.
    Beau was incredibly close to pressing his face against the translucent glass as he peered out, excitement flourishing through his core. His attention was caught abruptly by a small male at the door of the carriage who was loudly pointing out that it was time to get off. It was only then Beau had realized that practically everyone else had already departed from the train, save for a small amount of people.


    Grinning widely, he stood up and turned back to Percy--and the ever incognito Mochi--his previous state of bashfulness completely erased as if it had never even occurred. He ran a hand through his short and thick hair, attempting to contain his excitement. His attitude could be compared to that of a dog who had just found out they were going for a walk after being cooped up inside all day.


    “You ready to go, Percy?” He asked, already making his way towards the exit. The boy couldn’t quite help himself. He just wanted to go outside and get his legs moving.
    Beau continued to walk down the aisle before quickly shuffling down the few short steps and finally making contact with the concrete ground. Making his way down a little too rapidly had caused him to stumble around for a moment until he held up his hand to the exterior of the train to catch himself.
    He saw the same boy from before--the one who looked quite younger than the rest of the group here--carrying a rifle. What a warm welcoming. Beau didn’t think much of it though and turned his head towards the entrance of the train, seeing if Percy was coming along, then glanced back towards the others. Today was going to be fun.
