The small she-cat padded up to the body warily. "Mother?"
"Lynx," she said."You must go. Find HawkClan. They will take you in."
"Wha...what do you mean?" Lynx questioned."You can't leave me! You can't!"
"It is my time! I must. *cough, cough* Follow the sunset. There you will find HawkClan. Goodbye, Lynx. Find me in StarClan."
"I will, Dapplesong. I will," Lynfeather said. She thrust her nose into Dapplesong's pelt, feeling her summer-sweet pelt grow cold with death. Lynx cried to the night, cursing the fates of her mother.
"I love you mother. I will never forget you. I will find HawkClan if it is the last thing I do."
A star twinkled, and Lynx blinked back tears. "I love you."
Lynx padded to the forest, following the amber sunfall. Soon she heard pawsteps coming her way. Crouching behind a fern, she listened to them, her heartbeat thumming in her head.

"Hello, Echowing. I am Lynx." she meowed. "Are you from around here? I need to know someone. Nobody from my past life is alive."

Lynx, still hiding behind that fern, heard two cats pass by. A scent told her that they could be in love. She had to appear sometime...Now was the time.
"Hello.I am Lynx. Are you cats from HawkClan?"

The cats passed by, unnoticing. Later two cats walked by. To her they smelled like they could be in love. Lynx had a strange feeling that she was being watched. Eyes were buring into the back of her pelt.

Lynx found her bravery in the tom's brash tone." I am Lynx. My mother told me to find HawkClan. Do you know where they are?"

If you are of hawkClan, I would be gratful. But if you are not I must continue my journey.

"She...She..." Lynx stammered."My father murdered her. She said I might be welcome here."

"Hi, Onesoul," Lynx meowed. She felt a hot prickling rise under her pelt. :-[" So, do I get a cool name like yours? I've never seen a Clan before. my owner hardly ever lets me out."

"Lynxeyes? that sounds like a disease for a fish!" she purred. Something about this tom brought her out of her shell. "How long have you lived here?"

"Well, it can't be that bad. You have your Clanmates." Lynx consoled him. "All I had was my mother...that is...when the owner actually let us out." she said sadly.

"You don't know what my life has been like!" Lynx hissed."My father killed my littermates before my very eyes. my mother, too. He's after me. I spent my life being kicked my my owner or hunted by my father! If I am the kind of kittypet you think I am, then I leave now and never come back."

OOC:LET'S DO A TIME SKIP, CUZ HAWKSTAR ALREADY LET ME IN THE CLAN. How do I figure out who my mentor is?

IC: Lynxpaw had been exploring when she heard Winterpaw speaking to strangers. She bounded out of the undergrowth to join them.
"Ivy? Ruffle?"Lynxpaw asked. "Is that you?"

Lynxpaw padded out of the brambles. "Greenbriar? Who's this?"
