He looked down at his paws and then up at her. "I must have leid to myself me and you were never fit to be together. You can have Ashfur now maybe you wont lie to him." Brambleclaw padded away past everything he thought he knew into the night. He just hoped he could find some one who actually loved him.

In some ways he still did love Squirrelflight her glowing green eyes, flame colored coat, and her buetiful voice. He knew he couldnt though she would lie to him agian they could have had a family though, he told him self, but she would never be the same. For all he knew she was curled up with Ashfur dreaming sweet thoughts. He was at the edge of Thunderclan territory. He wished he could drown himself in the lake. He stood there looking into the murky water and saw his reflection. He saw Squirrelflight and Lionblaze. Jayfeather in the medicine den, and there was Hollyleaf her black pelt. How could he have not noticed that she looked just like Crowfeather how could he have been so foolish. Brambleclaw told hiimself to snap out of it. His mind was playing tricks on him. Brambleclaw curled up in a ball and went to sleep a deep deep sleep.

Brambleclaw heard something in the bushes he looked around he smelled something. A cat!

Brambleclaw went over to investigate but he didnt see anything. My mind must still be playing tricks on me, thought Brambleclaw,but maybe I'm not alone. Maybe someone has been through the same thing as me.

Brambleclaw woke up with a start. Did i sleep all night,he asked himself, no its still night i need someone who has been what ive been through. Someone i can rely on she needs to be like a hawk.

Brambleclaw saw the bushes move agian. Out stepped a buetiful she cat. He didnt think twice "whats your name!?"

In the distance Brambleclaw thought he heard a cat scream but all he could thing about was the she cat. Then she asked him what he least expected "why are you so sad?" Brambleclaw told her "its a long story walk with me and ill explain."

"Wait"screamed Brambleclaw as he chased after Hawkfeather. Hesaw the fox and grabbed it by the neck.

Brambleclaw and Hawkfeather chase the fox away. Scratching and biting.

"Hawkfeather?" he asked"now that the fox is gone will you come with me?"

"I'm fine will you uhh walk with me Hawkfeather?"

Brambleclaw looks and sees all the she cats. "why are there so many of you. I asked for only one that i can trust."

He looks at Hawkfeather agian her buetifull blue eyes gleaming. "where did you come from?" he asks

"Thank you" he says to the gray she cat.

"Then come on have you ever herd of the moon pool?" he pointed near the moors and breathed in her sweet scent"your buetifull"

Brambleclaw looked at Hawkfeather agian half embarresed that he said that out loud. He knew it was true though. She would be better than Squirrelflight,
