Ooc: It is a good idea and it would make a really cool plot, but BirdClan's thread is locked. :( I saw it in my unread replies page, and I didn't understand why. So... it can't be done, sadly. But, you gave me an amazing idea! There is a Clan, called StarlightClan, which belongs to one of my real-life friends, Auburn. A patrol could be sent to ask them for help... I'm sure they would agree to plot with us. :D :D :D At least, I hope so.

Ic: Whisperpaw slept peacefully. In her dreams, she thought she could hear Battlepaw's voice, and she rolled onto her back and murmured her beloved's name in her sleep.

Whisperpaw twitched and turned in her sleep, occasionally murmuring Battlepaw's name.
Her dreams were chaotic and peculiar, but the comfort of oblivion was welcome. Dark shadows flew around behind her eyelids, mysterious and misshapen, but if it felt like a nightmare to her, she didn't wake up.
Suddenly, her eyes fluttered open and she felt herself flying up and up into the sky, where the moon shone, silver and bright. Stars swirled around her, forming multicoloured patterns of every shape and dimension. The night sky wasn't navy anymore, it was a gentle pink which was slowly fading to violet. Like flowers, stellar specks of colourful light blossomed all around her, then withered and disappeared, leaving behind streaks of lights and flames that resembled fireworks. On the ground below, the forest was visible, a vast shadow of green that expanded over miles and miles.
Now the sky was green, green like the leaves that floated all around her. Leaves? In the sky? her tired mind had time to wonder. But then, everything around her was so strange and unrealistic.
Then, and she couldn't or wouldn't remember how it happened, she found herself in a silver clearing, silver like the small stream that flowed peacefully next to her or like the starless sky above. A round, white moon hung there, seeming to survey the clearing and everything in or around it.
"Whisperpaw..." a voice, new yet familiar, whispered in her ear. The apprentice bit back a scream and turned around, but behind her was only darkness and the narrow stream, the calm, gurgling stream that reflected everything around it yet was oblivious to it all.
"Listen to me...." the voice murmured again. It was like the wind, melodious and quiet, yet so strong that, even after it had gone, the effects, the gentle sound of it, remained.
So she did. She sat down, slowly, almost tentatively, as if it would all disappear if her movements were too fast, the clearing, the stream, and the shadow, the shadow with the enticing voice.
And then it sounded again, even more mysterious and charming:

"Under the moon, in the darkest night
And below the stars, in the morning light
Will come six.
They will come from the sky like a whisper,
After a battle that ate many souls
Like stars, they will chase away the fright,
And the danger will fade into coals."

And then it was gone, and Whisperpaw was once again resting peacefully in her nest with the words of the prophecy echoing in her head.

Feeling confused and strange, Whisperpaw got up, her fur ruffled by sleep. Her mind felt fuzzy; the prophecy repeated itself over and over in her head, and she couldn't understand its meaning.
But hearing the screams and seeing Jasper laying on the floor roused Whisperpaw from her incoherent thoughts. The Medicine Cat apprentice shook her head to clear it and bounded up to her mentor. "Are you all right? What herbs do you need?" she asked, trying to keep panic out of her voice.

Ooc: TORNADOES? You... saw... tornadoes?
Wow. Living in Europe can definitely be very boring.
But at least it's less risky :P

Ic: As Whisperpaw woke, her mind was too fuzzy and clouded by sleep for her to remember her strange dream. All she registered was that the sun was shining, the birds singing, and the sky clear as a mountain lake, and after a moment of pondering, she reached the conclusion that it would be a nice day.
The sleepy apprentice yawned, stretched and started grooming her light brown fur, her green eyes still half-closed. Only then did the memories come rushing back to her, and she lifted her head in surprise, blinking a few times while she relived the strange scene of that night and heard the mysterious prophecy echo in her head once again. She barely heard Jasper's call, and when she slowly turned her head to look at the Medicine Cat, she couldn't really see him.

Whisperpaw gritted her teeth. What was happening to her?
"Under the moon, in the darkest night
And below the stars, in the morning light
Will come six.
They will come from the sky like a whisper,
After a battle that ate many souls
Like stars, they will chase away the fright,
And the danger will fade into coals."

The ominous words of what she knew to be a prophecy echoed over and over in her head. They mingled together to form eerie sounds and distorted sentences that made no sense. They seemed to take over her mind, forcing back all coherent thoughts. Blackness poured into her head like a dirty river and her limbs wouldn't move. Something strange was happening to her, and there was nothing that Whisperpaw could do to make it stop.

Whipserpaw squinted and stared at Battlepaw, her green eyes seeming to glow with a light of their own. Her ears twitched and, underneath her half-closed eyelids, her gaze darted from side to side frantically. She tried to speak, but the words wouldn't come; she wanted to stand up, but her limbs still refused to move. Her thoughts were whirling, and dark and chaotic shapes that blotted out everything else appeared in her field of vision, though they were just an illusion. Panic was rising in the apprentice's chest. What is happening to me? the question bounced around in her head, over and over and over again. She was unable to move, she couldn't think clearly. Would she have to stay in that trance-like state for the rest of her life?
Then, as suddenly as it had come, the pain and confusion disappeared and Whisperpaw stumbled forward with a gasp while relief washed over her.
