Stormpaw slashed the fox's ears, blinding it with its own blood. Quickly, he put all of his strength into his front paw and ripped open his thorat. the stench of blood filled the air.

"Are you ok Snowdawn?!" Stormpaw fretted over his mentor, she wasn't moving! She might not remember that she'd been one of the cats that had saved him and Icepaw, but he did. And he wouldn't let a fox hurt her! Bursting with new energy, he flung himself at the fox,and jumped onto his back. He clawed at it's spine while Crystalfoot faught the fox from the ground. Confused the fox fled out of camp and Stormpaw jumped onto the ground and race to Snowdawn. "Are you hurt?"

Stormpaw bristled at the medicine cat. SnowDawn stared wide-eyed in shock at him over Jaytail's shoulder. He turned and muttered to himself. Just then Icepaw rushed into camp "What happened?! " She gasped at her brother's blood-stained pelt. Mouse-dung, he'd wanted to wash before Icepaw had seen. Icepaw was shocked, her entire image of Stormpaw turned the protective apprentice into a vicous warrior. If this is what he does when I'm not around, I....I don't know what i'd do if something happened!

Icepaw followed Shadowpelt out of camp and bega looking for herbs. Marigold, poppy, and tansy. Those will help Jaytail. Then, I'll have to talk to him.

Milkfur padded out of the warriors den and over to the freshkill pile

Icepaw came bounding into camp with a mouthful of marrigold and poppy leaves. She spotted Jaytail and rushed over to him and dropped the herbs at his paws

Heatherpaw limped up to the frsh-kill pile and grabbed a blackbird. Spiritkit was talking to Coolheart. She wished the new cat would just go away. What? Why would she think that? She used to be so...so... friendly. But ever since Spiritkit came to camp...everything went wrong. Heatherpaw was always suspitious of the kit and she didn't trust anyone anymore. Spiritkit knew something.... But what!?

Icepaw lifted Stormpaw and and led him to Jaytail's den. Stormpaw leaned on her, the wound on his right shoulder looked bright red and swollen. She wished she knew what was wrong. Once she got to the den, Icepaw blurted out to Jaytail, "I want to be a medicine cat!"

"Sure." Heatherpaw followed Spiritkit behind the nursury. "What?" She surprised herself when she sounded irritated and annoyed. Why am I like this?! I've been waiting for this scince I met her!

Heatherpaw arched her back. It was like she was seeing the kit for the first time like a fish jumping out the watter. Before there had only been suspition and doubt. Now there was reason and truth. Spiritkit was dangerous! "What else!"She hissed when she saw a flicker in the kits eyes.

Her fur flattened. Memories transported her back to a den hidden in a meadow. Her mother lie on her side, fighting for breath. She was sick with an illness that the rest of the clan had. Their medicine cat ran out of the herb to cure it, and he was sick now himself. 'Heatherkit...leave this clan. Find a new place to live.' Her mother sighed. 'But Hazelshine! I can't leave you and Mudkit!' she yowled. 'You have to survive. Your special...' Those were her mother's last words. She'd left the disease ridden clan and found Nightclan. Now Spiritkit was telling her she was part of a prophecy!

Suddenly, Heatherpaw felt a rush. When she opened her eyes, instead of Spiritkit behind teh nursury, she saw Cherryeyes and Ivywing in the forest bleeding while 3 Boneclan cats circling them. She blinked again and was staring at Spiritkit. Heatherpaw ran past Spiritkit and out into the forest to help the two she-cats. She reached the clearing and attacked the first cat she saw, a large grey tom. He tried to claw her ears, but Heatherpaw sliced his cheast with unsheathed claw. He wailed and fled. She turned to the other two. She felt her fur flattened by the grey cat's blood. Heatherpaw hissed firecly. The two boneclan cats stared at her wide-eyed and ran away. She must look terrifying ....
