Mottlewing padded through camp, catching sight of Specklenose and padding over to her. She notced that her friend seemed troubled, and stopped, confused.
'Specklenose? Are you okay?' she mewed.
Mottlewing padded through camp, catching sight of Specklenose and padding over to her. She notced that her friend seemed troubled, and stopped, confused.
'Specklenose? Are you okay?' she mewed.
'Mind if I tag along?' mewed Mottlewing, padding up to the other two warriors.
Having been hunting alone for a while, Mottlewing looked up at the mews of clanmates. She purred and made her way over, carrying a mouse in her jaws. 'Hi!' she meowed brightly.
Honeyflower waddled into the nursery, purring contentedly at escaping from the hot sunshine. It was cool inside the nursery, and her hot pelt was being soothed by the breeze. Her swollen belly almost brushed the ground, and felt heavy and uncomfortable beneath her. Still, she knew she would love the kits when they arrived. This was her first litter, but she was still unsure on how to be a good mother...
{I'd quite like people to play other queens here? Just someone to talk Honeyflower through the joys of motherhood :)}
Mottlewing purred and padded along behind Thunderclaw.
Swallowpaw scrambled down the tree at her mentor's orders, ignoring any other sounds from the area. She pelted towards the camp, not stopping to see where Mountainfang was.
Swallowpaw heard the sounds of a fight coming from behind her. Despite Mountainfang's orders, she couldn't stand by and let her mentor get hurt. She sprinted back, and stopped suddenly as she came across her mentor, stood over the dog.
'Wow...' she gasped. 'Did you kill it by yourself?'
Swallowpaw sniffed at the dog, pulling back at the foul stench. 'Can... can we go somewhere else...?' she asked, shaken. 'This dog is still scaring me.'
Honeyflower, a queen heavy with unborn kits, came blinking out of the nursery, snarling as she realised the cat in the centre of the camp was from ThunderClan.
'Yeah.' Swallowpaw mewed, happy to leave the dog behind. 'We should hunt and take something back for the clan'
Honeyflower came over, concern filling her face. 'Brindleflower, you've kitted! Are you alright?'
'Can you show me a hunting crouch?' Swallowpaw asked. 'I don't know how to do it properly...' She demonstrated by showing her mentor a decidedly wobbly kit-crouch.
Swallowpaw was in awe. 'Wow, that was amazing!' she mewed. 'Can I try?'. She turned and stalked, slightly better than her first attempt, through the undergrowth, leaping and missing a sparrow by a tiny amount.
Frostleaf, a Riverclan warrior saw Salmonspot of Thunderclan joining the fight, and she launched, trying to land on the cat's back.
Scenting another bird in the area, Swallowpaw sank to the ground again, this time lowering her tail. She pounced, and threw herself at the robin, sinking her claws into it and finishing it with a swift bite to the neck.
Mottlewing woke, grumbling, and rolled over. She opened one eye and looked at the loud cats. 'Is it sunhigh yet?' she mewed.
Swallowpaw purred in amusement. 'I'm going to have to wait ages before I'm as good as you!'
Mottlewing mewed, 'I'd love to, Firetail!'. Briefly, she turned back to Specklenose. 'Speckle? I hope you're okay.'
Mottlewing bristled slightly, but then softened when Owlsoul did. 'It's okay. I think I'm still half asleep.' She curled up the other way round, and drifted between sleep and awake for a little while.
'How do you manage them?' Honeyflower asked the two queens, looking fondly at the kits around her paws. 'They seem such a pawful sometimes.'
