Stormhawk nodded and glanced around. "Let's find Thrushpelt and head back then," he suggested. "Great catch, by the way," he stated, nodding at the crow.

Windpaw and Stormhawk padded into the clearing, and Stormhawk let his tail trace his brother's daughter's flank. "Why are you here too? I mean, I'd like for you to help in my training, but...." Windpaw trailed off in confusion.

"Spiderstar asked me to. I've got a few moves to show you that your father and I came up with, should be fun," Stormhawk explained.

Stormhawk nodded, and a purr of his own escaped his throat. Wait, what? "Sure, Spiderstar," he said after a few moments of shocked silence. A purr? Really?

Windpaw stared at Stormhawk with surprise on her face. He was cheerful.... Too cheerful. Ah well, she'd ask him about it later.

OOC: You just saw the first one.

Stormhawk's Tail Trick - An excellent way to ensure that prey runs right into your paws. Leap slightly to the left or right of chosen prey and let your tail brush anything that will make a sound either to your left or right, whichever direction is opposite to the way you leaped. The prey will run away from the sound you made, and right into your paws.

Lightwing's Rush - Generally only experienced warriors should use this, as it can be reckless. Charge directly at your opponent, but once in range immediately duck and let your momentum carry you forward. Slash as your opponent's legs or belly as you wish, but ensure that you are out from under your opponent before they can drop their weight on you.

That's it for now, but I'll try and think up some more later! :P

Stormhawk's whiskers twitched as he remembered all the trouble he - and Lightwing - had gotten into as kits and apprentices. "Always," he replied with a tail wave. That was interesting move she had just described, and he assumed she would be trying it on him. That was probably the risk she was talking about. Of course, it was never good to assume things. "You want to try it out, to show me?" Stormhawk clarified.

Stormhawk nodded a little doubtfully. The gray warrior moved forward at a slow, lazy pace, suddenly flashing forward in the middle of another lazy step. He charged directly at her, readying several moves in his head depending on what she did.

    Username: Darky1
    Name: Oakpaw
    Age: 7 moons
    Rank: Medicine Cat Apprentice
Personality: Oakpaw is a very complicated young cat. In company he's polite and considerate, but he's actually sarcastic, irritable, and ill-tempered, he just hides it quite well.
Description: Large apprentice with a light brown pelt and darker brown streaks. His eyes are green and both his right front and right behind paws are white.
History: Born to the Clan, not much else.
    Family: An older brother.
Plot Ideas: None at the moment, sorry :P
(For high positions or if you want to)
How active are you?: Quite active.
Rp sample(Please no one liners): Oakpaw muttered crossly to himself as he prepared the poultice, but as always he didn't let his irritability affect his work. He padded back to the main part of the medicine den and started to apply the poultice, ignoring the hiss of pain from the warrior he was patching up. Fearless in battle and willing to lay down their lives, but when it came to a thorn warriors might as well have been kits.
Will help keep this clan Active? Yep!

Stormhawk supposed he might be able to dodge that, but didn't bother, intrigued to see how well the move worked despite the fact that he was bigger then Spiderstar was. He felt Spiderstar's jaw grip his neck and prepared to be flipped.

Stormhawk nodded. "It would have stunned me if you had been using your claws and your full strength," he agreed. He copied Spiderstar and shook the dirt from his fur, giving his pelt a few licks where the dust stayed after the shake.

Windpaw nodded slowly. "I'm a bit small to do it to either of you, though," she replied doubtfully, her gray eyes flicking from Spiderstar to Stormhawk.

Stormhawk nodded. "Alright, the first one is a hunting trick. First off, make sure there's something to your left or right that makes noise when you brush it," he instructed, and Windpaw edged sideways until she was next to a bush at the edge of the clearing. "Good. Now, imagine that leaf is a piece of prey," he continued, and dropped into a hunter's crouch. Windpaw followed suit, her eyes narrowed slightly in concentration as she watched him.

"Now, stalk up to where you would normally leap from, but when you leap aim slightly to the right, seeing as the bush is to your left. Let your tail brush the bush as you go by," Stormhawk explained, and then demonstrated, leaping forward and letting his tail brush a bush. "Had that been a real piece of prey it would have run right into your paws," he told her.

Windpaw's eyes brightened and she nodded, storing the move away. "Okay! Can I try it on you?" she asked.

"Sure, I'll act like a mouse," Stormhawk replied. Windpaw nodded and dropped once more into the hunter's crouch, and when she leaped she let her tail brush the bush. Stormhawk immediately shied over to the right, right into Windpaw's path. "Well done!" Stormhawk purred.

Windpaw's eyes shone as she looked at her mentor and Stormhawk. This was fun! Why did anyone ever complain about being an apprentice?

"Alright, next I've got a move that was mostly your father's idea," Stormhawk began. "It's a good rush tactic.... Spiderstar, could I try it on you? It'd be good to show Windpaw instead of just explain," he asked his Leader, turning to her and looking at her hopefully.

OOC: That's fine. Personally I'm a fan of cheesy moments :P

Stormhawk didn't bother with the lazy approach and sudden attack. She'd be ready for that. This time Stormhawk charged immediately, simply rushing head-long at Spiderstar. Once in range of her paws he immediately ducked, letting his momentum rush him forward and lashing out towards her legs with her paws, though his claws were sheathed.

Stormhawk, surprised by the tree move, felt her land several strikes before he managed to roll to the side. He lashed out with one paw while spinning in place with the others, pouncing forward and attempting to land several blows on Spiderstar's shoulders and flank.

Stormhawk panted a bit and nodded to the undergrowth. "Well fought! I've never seen that tree move before, interesting," he stated, noting the slight ache in his shoulders. He'd probably bruise a little bit, but that was a risk from any training.

Windpaw nodded, "Spiderstar showed me that yesterday, I haven't had time to practice it yet though," she told Stormhawk. The warrior nodded warmly, shaking the dust from his pelt again. He was enjoying himself, quite a bit. It was because he was helping train Windpaw..... Right? What other reason could there be?

Windpaw nodded and stared at Spiderstar, considering how to begin. Then, without warning, she flashed forward, charging in a straight line towards her mentor. Once she was within range she copied Stormhawk's actions and ducked down below the usual attack that would stop a charge, slashing forward with her paws at Spiderstar's legs as she did so.

Stormhawk licked his paw and drew it over his ears as he watched. His ears had gone hot when Spiderstar had butted his shoulder... Probably just the heat. Although, it wasn't very hot.... Maybe he was catching something? He should see the medicine cat when he got back. What was her name, again? Stormhawk was having trouble concentrating.... Argh!
