Coal waited patiently by the river. 'There!' His jet-black paw flashed into the water returning with a minnow. Coal nibbled on it, satisfied with his catch.

Robinwing watched the two cats from a tree branch. "This'll be interesting." She murmured quietly.

"Nice place!" Emberkit whispers "I'd better get going..."

Lapis watched dully from her cage. "I wouldn't fight. The twolegs'll kill you if they get the chance." She said to no one in particular. Her last injection had taken the fight out of her, after she had clawed one of them across the face.

Emberbone continued looking around for his cookie. Someone took it! He wanted to yowl, but he wouldn't, not until he found his cookie!

"What's wrong with that?" Lightningtail asked.

Lightningtail yawned tiredly, he had taken dawn patrol, and had gone two hunting parties.

"Well, if you need anything, just ask." Lightningtail said. He stretched, showing off the white stripes on his pelt.

Emberbone yawned. He gazed at the huge thing in curiosity. What could it be? He asked himself. "Only one way to find out." Emberbone lazily strolled towards the huge dome."Mmmm... Something smells good, maybe there's mice in there" Emberbone licked his lips in anticipation.

Coal yawned and strolled up to his den. It was sunhigh now, and he was tired.

Emberbone nimbly leaped up into the thing, "Wow! So many trees, so much food!" He exclamed. "I'd be amazed if I didn't see another cat here!" Emberbone hastily scrambled up a tree and looked around, It's like the Forest, but sooo much bigger! How will I ever explore it all! Just then he noticed a mouse nibbling on a seed. But for now, I must eat! Emberbone silently slid over the forest floor intent on catching the mouse. In one quick movement, he pounced, and killed it before it squeeled.

Emberbone thought he heard something. Grabbing his mouse he glanced around and saw a cat running rampant. "Hey! Watch where you're runnin' will ya?" He shouted at the energetic cat. Lying down Emberbone began eating the fat mouse. I'm amazed the prey hasn't dissappeared!

"You sure?" Emberkit asks, glancing towards the Forest.

Lightningtail lied down again, this time staring at the sky.

Lightningtail continued looking at the clouds, noticing how one was all alone.

Lapis yawned and stared at a twoleg from the corner of her eye. "This isn't worth it. Fighting to survive, being slowly killed by poisons... I wish I weren't here." Lapis sighed.

Emberbone decided to explore the woods, after all, there were other cats here, so there might be a clearing somewhere!

Robinwing muttered something about cobwebs before shaking some leaves from the tree.

"Yes." He replied, "just thinking."

Robinwing rolled her eyes and jumped down. "You might want some cobwebs and marigold put on that paw," she advised "unless you never want to use that paw again."
