I'd probably consider this stylized semi-realistic. As for fur, you seem to have the right idea. at least in drawing it. Its not all jagged and spikey and runs over the body the way it should. Shading it is a diffrent matter, to do that just draw interlocking triangles in the direction the fur should go, don't make them all the same though, bend some so it looks a little more realistic. I guess the same could be said for drawing it too. The ends of each side of the line should tapper to a point, if you don't have a tablet you can always use an eraser to point them.

Yeah, I just came back from vacation and I look like a lobster...well at least my back and shoulders do. I'm bored but don't really feel like RPing so I decided to make a chat thread about one of my favorite things Fursonas...furries were naturally included in the discussion because the two go together. I know a lot of people don't like them, if you're one of them then this is not the thread for you. If you are a Furry, have a fursona, like anthropomorphic animals or are just curious about it all by all means stay. I promise not to bite...at least as long as you're respectful to people here and don't show art of your Fursona that is actually a picture of someone else's character.
My Fursona is a Domestic rat. His name's Kaseem and he is Gender-fluid. I often refer to him with male pronouns but feel free to use either when referring to the both of us. He stands at five foot five and has short white hair...yeah this part needed to be updated badly. Oh, BTW Kaseem is biologically male.

Yet another object of my boredom. I decided to do some tutorials and put them on youtube...which is probably a bad idea because then everyone's going to ask me to do tutorials on everything else. *sigh* since people really love to draw wolves but most get the anatomy wrong and they end up looking like dogs (or even cats ^-^) I figured I'd start there. I'll post the video here when done.

Please post two to three detailed paragraphs and do not use pictures you didn't draw. Also Yuki's bi so yeah...Yuki works at a daycare so to meet her your character will have to be coming in to pick up their child or a younger (under 12) sibling.

It was hot. A blazing 109. It was one of those days where all one wanted to do was sit infront of a fan munching on watermellon and drinking Ice tea. However twenty one year old Yuki snow didn't have the luxuray of doing that. She had to get her furry self to work...across town to a job she hated. On days like these she wished some wealthy older gentleman would come and sweep her off her feet. Given the likely hood of that happening was slim to none so she shoved the thought away. Pulling on a pair of torn jeans and a short sleve button up shirt she darted out of the house...only to retern a few seconds later for her wallet, house keys and baseball cap. Once on the street the silver fox began to slow down. She pulled the brim of the cap down to sheild her pale eyes from the sun as she made her way to the first of many bus stops she'd sit at.
After an hour and a half and four buses later the fox stepped into the back door of her work place. She was imediatly assulted by the heavy smell of drool and warm milk. A rock settled in her stomach as she moved to her locker and deposited her stuff. She grabbed her uniform and hurried into the bathroom to change. Once in the pale blue scrubs she walked out to greet the mob of demaning ankle bitters that she'd be tending to for the next eight hours. It was a horrid occupation, especially since she didn't like children but she put up with it because it paid well. Rubbing her neck she began running to and fro get this for so and so or handing such and such off to someone else.
It was an imediate relief when lunch time came around and she was able to take a break. She suffled into the front room and sat in one of the hard wooden chairs. Just as she began to relax a ding sounded from above the door, signalling someone was here to take home one of the little snot monsters.

Not bad though the images all seem a little flat (please note I'm only commenting on the cats because my humans suck and I don't draw Ponies). You should angle them a little, even the tiniest bit makes a huge diffrence. Also, fur isn't so...spikey. Sure it clumps but it shouldn't look painful to touch. You're anatomy is not bad but it looks a bit stiff. If you're having trouble with poses try looking at pictures of cats. You don't have to copy the picture but it'll help get the body parts possitioned correctly. I do love the way you do eyes. I hope I helped...and I hope you don't think I'm being harsh.

Charon looked as though someone had placed a hot poker against his spine. His pupils were so wide now that only a thin rim of ice could be seen along the edges. He looked for all the world like a caged animal. Hearing that he wouldn't have to tell Jamie anything about him should have calmed him down but instead it'd worked him up more. Tomarrow his friend was coming for a visit and that man had a tendency to tell everyone everything and he did mean everything...and if he decided to there wouldn't be a thing Charon could do about it, since he was twice his size and built like a brick wall.
