"Of course it's okay. You saved our lives. It's the least we can do. And anyway, it's getting dark out and some of the rogues were headed in the direction of your territory. I'm sure they wouldn't dream of enter it, but they may attack you on the journey back," Willowstar said.
"I guess that would be okay with me," Angelsong mewed. "What about you, Ravenclaw?"

The man came back and put a thin, fluffy, black, hissing cat on the floor. She instantly jumped on the girl and meowed a warning. "Put my kit down or you will PAY."
"MOMMY!!!" Lacie squealed, digging her sharp claws into the girl. -
ooc: oh, I hope she doesn't lose her kits. And hey, why don't Northsky and Swanfeather both take care of Snowkit?
-
The black, thin, furry cat, whose name was Candy, grabbed Lacie and streaked across the room with her.
-
"We are just repaying your deeds. There is no need to thank us. I'm sure you would do the same for us," Willowstar meowed gratefully. "You may stay in the Warriors' or the Medicine Cat's den, if you wish." With that, she padded slowly to her den, a large hole in the side of the mountain. Lichen covered the entrance.
-
Jadekit awoke coughing. She meowed softly with pain.
-
"Mommy, where are we going? And why is there no way out?" Lacie asked Candy.
Candy didn't answer. She kept on scratching at the door. -
Willowstar sighted her mouse and got closer. Then, in one sudden movement, she pounced and killed it with one swift bite of the neck. She then buried it in the leaves and scented the air for signs of any other prey.
-
Angelsong followed her into the den. There were many other cats, and almost all of them were injured. They looked at her with gratitude in their eyes and mewed a greeting. "Good night," she meowed quietly before settling down on some unused moss and went to sleep.
-
Candy looked up at the female Twoleg and mewed quietly. "Are we safe to trust you?"

Willowstar went on the dawn patrol the next morning. She scented Snowclan on her borders. -
Jadekit winced at her mother's touch. She coughed again, then whined.
-
Jadekit stopped coughing and went back to suckling.
-
Candy made up her mind. She walked back to the girl an sat down at her feet.
-
Candy curled up against Lacie. They were both scared: a monster had swallowed them whole!
-
Lacie turned to see if the cobra had followed her. It hadn't.
-
"Thanks," Willowstar said. She scented a vole, a thrush, and -wait. "Hawkwhisker, if you're not busy, could you come here for a moment?"
-
The next morning, Angelsong awoke at dawn. She stretched. Her muscles hurt. She left the den to go hunting, but was welcomed by a hunting patrol just coming back. They dropped their fresh kill and wandered off aimlessly. She grabbed a rabbit and sat down to dine.
