Nebula grew worried. "Uh... okay..." she followed her boyfriend inside and up the stairs, and she opened the bathroom door, not wanting to get her bedroom floor all wet. "Seriously. What's going on?"

"What's wrong? Oh my God, are you crying? What happened?" Nebula was extremely worried.
-
Nahdia stopped dead in her tracks. Praying it wasn't the gunman she heard yell her name, she turned around to see Ash Foster leaning against a locker, blood seeping through his clothes. "Oh my God. Ash!" They had never really spoken but she knew who he was. Nahdia sprinted over to him and grabbed his arm. "Come on, we have to find someplace safe."
-
"How did he look at me?" Nebula tilted her head at Marcus. "And since he's your best friend he can't look at me?" Her voice was incredulous, and she almost felt like laughing. "Oh my God. All of that kissing and stuff was you trying to establish that I belong to you, wasn't it?"
-
"Uh, over six hours away from Boston... just tell me. What's wrong?" Nebula was frightened for her best friend.
-
The color returned to Nebula's face when she heard a girl calling to them from an open door. "Come on, Ash," she said, trying to help him all the way down the hall to the room. "You can do this."
-
Nahdia fell with Ash. She swore under her breath again. "Do you think you can crawl? We have to get in that room. Come on. Please try."
-
"People are going to be attracted to people. You can't hate him for it. I personally think he's pretty hot." Nebula bit her tongue. Did I actually just say that? she thought with dread.
-
OOC: Oh whoops. My bad. Forget that last reply haha.
IC: "Ash, you need to be quiet. I know you're in a lot of pain, but you can't make a noise," Nahdia whispered.
-
"I... can't. I'm sorry." Nebula hung up her phone and drove out of the motel parking lot, back onto the freeway. She couldn't let something bring her back.
-
Nebula was too horrified to speak for several minutes. "I just- You can't- It's my- You aren't-" She tried, but none of the sentences she almost said would work. "Um..." she wheeled around and out of the bathroom, past Alfie and into her bedroom. She locked the door and changed into denim shorts and a tank-top, trying to figure out what she was going to do.
-
Nebula didn't stop to answer her phone. She had a six-hour headstart on Marcus, and she wasn't going to let him catch up with her. She drove farther down the coast, hoping he wouldn't be able to find her- there were millions of people on the eastern seaboard, he probably wouldn't.
-
Nahdia couldn't watch any of the medical process; the sight of blood had a tendency to make her faint. So instead of helping Ash she moved desks and chairs to barricade the door, and tried to calm her breathing. "This isn't the time for a panic attack," she whispered, concentrating on inhaling and exhaling.
-
"I screwed up." That was Nebula's answer. She brushed her wet hair and put it up in a ponytail, still running through every possible plan in her mind.
-
It was three in the morning when Nebula pulled into the parking lot of a hotel much nicer than where she had spent the previous night. She parked her car out of sight and got a room on the top floor. As soon as she went inside she laid down and went to sleep, exhausted from so many hours alone in her car.
-
"Um. I guess it wouldn't screw anything up more than it already is." Nebula unlocked the door but didn't open it. Instead she opened her closet door and pretended to be busy so she wouldn't have to look anyone in the eye if they entered.
-
"I don't love you," Nebula whispered as quietly as possible in reply to Marcus, starting to sort her shirts by color. She turned away from Alfie. "I'm fine."
-
Nebula felt terrible, but she didn't cry and she didn't follow Marcus. She closed her closet doors and walked over to her bed, which was unmade, and started pulling all the sheets and blankets off. She had to keep herself busy so she wouldn't have to make eye contact with anyone.
-
OOC: Well she drove for several hours more than him, I was thinking she'd just stay there thinking he wouldn't ever find her but he does maybe that night?
IC: Nebula woke up at three the next afternoon. She knew her new sleep schedule wasn't good, and after thinking for a few minutes she decided she'd stay there for a while. It was highly unlikely anyone would find her.
-
Nebula threw her pillows on the floor and walked to her linen closet to get some clean sheets. "Of course we can talk. What do you want to talk about? The weather? The music video Demi Lovato did for Really Don't Care? My dog's new puppies?" Her voice was flat and she still didn't look at anyone.
