He looked across at Tara, and lifted Rue in his arms. He lifted her shirt off to see how deep the claws had gone, and winced at the sight.

The animal hadn't just pierced her skin, but ripped it as well. He didn't know where to start.

Ian warmed his numb hands by the fire, it was starting to get colder, and darker too, soon it would be nightfall.

Ian spat out the fin and tail scales, the stripped the fish's flesh off the bones in a well practiced manner.

IC Whowle smiled, closing her eyes, and sat down on the floor. She extended her will, pushing past all the other animals until she found Vienna's presence. She watched her for a while.

"Rue?" Tears rolled down his cheeks.

IC Whowle saw that her mind had no barriers, which she rolled her eyes at. She willed her mind to enter un noticed, and she found herself in the room of Vienna's mind.
