Okay, when Patchstripe thought he heard his name, all distant and echo-y, he kinda freaked out. He stopped dead in his tracks, and began to strain his ears to pick up the sound he had heard. He flicked his tail at Bramplepaw, before speeding off in the direction of his clan's camp. He wasn't exactly the image of poise and grace while doing this, stumbling over twigs are above ground roots. Forgetting the importance of his herbs, he carelessly allowed some to slip out of his pile, and being trampled by his uneven strides.

He bounded over the log that separated the camp from the rest of the territory with some difficulty, flailing like a fish caught out of the stream. His trained eyes and ears heard the sounds of a queen going into labor easily. He swore that even a deaf cat could her her cries. He lifted his chin abruptly, allowing what was remaining of the herbs to dump onto the floor. A little dirt never hurt a plant. He raced to the nursery, clawing up the dirt as he tread.

He poked his head in, and sighed in relief to see Leopardspot in her nest, no kits on the way out as of present. "Don't worry love, I'm here." He said in a gentle tone, desperate to calm her down. He looked over her convulsing body for a brief second. Yep, this was no false alarm. Those kits wanted out. He reached his head outside, grabbing a nearby stick off of the ground. "There's no way to sugarcoat it Leopardspot, this is gonna be kinda painful. Now, I'm going to go get some Chervil from my den, it'll help soothe the pain, okay?" He asked in a small tone, a tone one would use with small kits. He couldn't help it. She looked so sad and in pain. "In the mean time, I'll leave you with this, okay?" He nudged the stick up to her mouth. "Bite it if the pain gets to bad." He stopped. "Dont worry. You'll do great" He said with a smile, before rushing off

OOC; Wow sorry that this seems a little too hero-ish on his part

Patchstripe heaved out a heavy sigh as the last of the kits had been birthed, leaving Leopardspot with 3 mewling tyrants and an empty belly. The labor was by all means possible, flawless. The pain-staking hardships of Leopardspot's pregnancy were over, and she now had 2 lovely she-kits and a handsome young tom. "So... he began. "Have you named them yet?" He asked in a hushed voice, careful not to distract the little ones from their meal. Strange thing about kits, they begin to suckle almost instantly after their own birth.

"Lovely names for lovely kits." He chuckled quietly. He gazed down at the litter with a slight pride, knowing that he had just delivered what he was sure would be Leafclan's greatest warriors. He bent down a bit, giving a gentle lick to one of the bundles of kit. "So, how about that Borage?" He asked. "You'll need it with these little ones." He said with a laugh.

Nickname- You can just call me Elliot~

Storyteller slowly walked up to Leopardspot, desperate to see the little ones. She pushed her head into the den where the mother and kits resided. Looking past the deputy, her cold gaze softened and her heart grew three sizes that day. "Awwww~" She cooed, in a very unlike-Storyteller fashion. Remembering there were still other cats who could still see her, she regained her stiff posture once again. The kits seemed to cry out for milk with such intensity, she was certain they would make fierce warriors.

Patchstripe was still rummaging around in his herb stock, looking for his Borage. The bit that he had picked at the stream appeared to have been lost when he came running into the clan to help Leopardspot along with her kitting. He found his Borage in a small crack in the wall, where he stored his herbs. Plucking out a few leaves, he trotted out of his stuffy den that for some reason always reeked of mint. Pushing past both Storyteller and Wolfheart, he set the leaves down in the nest gently, so as not to take the nursing kits out of the zone. Quiet frankly, he wasn't sure he could get them out of the zone if he tried. "These should help with your milk supply. They don't really taste all that great, but taking them is good for the kits." He said in a soft voice

Name: Addereyes or is this suffix written Adder-eyes idk

    Rank: Warrior

    Age: 31 Moons

    Gender: Tom

    Breed: Domestic Short-Hair

Personality: Addereyes is a bit of a grumpy-grump, and is usually regarded as a snappy cat. He doesn't really have a reason for it, he just enjoys being a butt. He's usually pretty sarcastic with everybody, and seldom spares a soul. DISREGARDING THESE GRAND FLAWS, he can be a pretty chill guy if you just get to know him. I'm sure somewhere in that black heart of his, he is kind. lolnotreally

    Parents and Siblings:
    nah

    Crush/Mates/Kits:
Open(I dont see why anybody would like him though)/None/None

    2 Strengths:
    Hecka Witty/Excellent on the battlefield

    2 Weaknesses:
Grump-Grump/Blind in one eye (can u guess y. i'll give u a hint. take a close look at his name <3)

History: Addereyes doesn't really have a remarkable backstory, his kithood was comprised of stupid dad jokes and an overprotective mother. Being the only kit in the litter, he got MUCH more attention than he actually wanted. He just wanted to be left alone and be able to do his own thing, you feel? Anyway, when he finally received his apprentice name, he was pretty stoked. Naturally, the first thing he did was race out into the territory to get into trouble. Behind a rock, there slunk a snake. He remembers every detail very vividly. The snake was a yellow-brown earthy color, with eyes as black as coal. When he leapt over it's hiding spot, it lashed up and bit him in the eye. Thankfully, he didn't lose it, but he could no longer see from it. And that, my dear children, is how Addereyes got his name.

    Name: Softpaw Softcloud

    Rank: Apprentice

    Age: 9 Moons

    Gender: She-Cat

    Breed: American Curl

Personality: Softpaw is a shy little thing, always bowing out of a conversation if more than one cat is involved. She has major anxiety issues, Social Anxiety, OCD, Panic Attacks, you name it. She tries her best to have a normal life-style, but as anybody will a mental illness knows, it's rough. She's very determined to show the clan that she is worth their time and effort. She has a bit of a complex about it.

    Parents and Siblings:
    nah

    Crush/Mates/Kits:
    Open/None/None

    2 Strengths:
    Very Intelligent/Swift on her paws

    2 Weaknesses:
    Anxiety/Not very strong physically

History: Softpaw was obviously borne of 2 pure-bred kittypets. Everything from her still silky pelt, to her unusually curled ears hint at past high-class life. From birth to around the age of 4 Moons, She lived with her mother and 2 other siblings in a grand twoleg den. She had all she could ever want simply handed to her. Toys, Food, Friends, everything! That all stopped though, when her twolegs had a kit of their own softpaw, ur lady and the tramp is showing. She and her littermates were to be sold to new twolegs to make a bit of extra money. Now of course, Softpaw wasn't havin' that, so the first chance she got, she bolted out the door and into the woods. She had heard the tales and late-night whisperings of the feral cats who lived there, who feasted on the bones of young housecats like herself.

After what seemed like a year of wandering ((It was like, a day at the most)), she finally came across a group of cats out for their afternoon patrol. A young kit didn't seem like much of a threat to them, so they decided to take her to the camp, where she was safe. As per the warrior code, 'No kits, regardless of clan shall be ignored' or whatever, she was permitted to stay. She immediately ditched her sparkly collar and kittypet name, and took on the challenge of survival.

Other: wow i'm sorry her history is so long-winded i didn't really expect it to turn into that.

Addereyes was splayed out unceremoniously on top of a small fallen log. His eyes closed in tranquility as the early morning sun soaked it's way into his ashy pelt. He hadn't bothered to talk to Spiderleap as the spindly tom wiggled out of the den. He knew better than to try and converse with that cat. sliding off the log, he landed on the soft earth that made no sound. His claws marked hollow scores into the dirt as he stretched out his body to be rid of the last sleep-ridden muscles. He loved the early morning and the late night, both times at which cats wouldn't bother him.

    --

Softpaw roused slowly in her nest, blinking her icy eyes slowly. She let out a sound that was somewhat of a mix between a sigh and a pout. She yawned widely, licking her lips as the dry taste of sleep lingered on her tongue. She stood in her mossy nest, stretching out her little legs and shaking her cream pelt. She stepped over the other sleeping figures, careful not to wake them. Once she reached the exit, she emerged outside of her den, her eyes drinking in the sun's rays. She looked around the camp, giving it a quick assessment. It appeared very few had already woken up. She took the small opportunity to bathe herself, enjoying the feeling of her own fur.

Knowing that he might be called for an early morning patrol, Addereyes trotted away from his resting place to get himself ready for the day. He stopped for a moment, trying to determine if the sounds from his stomach where sounds of hunger, or just digestion. Whatever they were, he decided against eating. As his mother always told him, A full cat makes a slow cat. More and more cats were getting up and starting their own day, causing Addereyes to immediately miss the peace he had just moments ago.

    --

Softpaw watched as the clan around her woke up for the day, ready to hunt and fight. She was very glad that she had ended up in this place, devoid of housecat life. Where they had fenced-in gardens, she had an entire forest to roam. She purred quietly, before flopping down to the ground, flicking her tail in a silent, shy greeting to those who passed by.

Addereyes turned at the sound of a voice greeting him. He quickly recognized the white she-cat. "Ah. Hello." He said, in a monotonous voice. She was the cat who refused to change her name, wasn't she? The loner from so far away. Perhaps he could give her pity? Nah. Too easy. "Can I help you with something?" He asked with a cocked eyebrow. Then again, she DID start a conversation with HIM, something that rarely happened. He guessed that he usually just intimidated other cats into not talking to him. Or maybe it was the fact that he always had something 'smart' to say.

((Oh yeah, who is Softpaw's mentor?))

Addereyes looked around the camp for any sign of Singingwind. He sighed a bit. "Alright then. I suppose some hunting could be fun." He said with an almost challenging voice. "Besides, if I go with you now, that means I get out of patrols this morning." He said, flashing an award-worthy smirk. He shook out his pelt one last time. "The sooner we get out of here, the less chance ol' deputy has of seeing us and telling us to stay put." He called back to her, already leaving the camp. Addereyes waited for nobody.

addereyes is such a flirt like dang.

"Nah." He said simply, scratching his ear. "It seems useless to me. Why bring so many cats out a once? About half the time the younger apprentices scare away all the food anyway." He snorted. Addereyes watched as Asha winked at him and smirked. He cocked his head, but let it go. Besides, food was the most important thing now, especially with Fallensong and her little kits around.

He opened up his mouth to scent the air for any trace of animal other than the familiar cat smell. He took a few gentle pawsteps, skillfully avoiding the twigs and leaves on the ground. He constantly turned his head to see the other side of the ground, as it was consumed by darkness where there should have been light. Stupid snake. He thought for the billionth time. After a few seconds of stumbling around, he finally scented something. Perhaps a bird? Yeah, it was definitely bird. He turned his head around to see Asha, and smirked.

He crouched down low to the ground, bunching up his muscles to pounce of the little creature. In an instant, he shot up from his hiding place, aiming for the bird. Like a lightning bolt, the little blue bird took off into the sky, leaving Addereyes to bellyflop on the grass. "Foxdung." He growled/groaned.

((I'm just gonna assume that Adder didn't see Lillykit cause im a little late for that party ^^;;))

Addereyes let off a hallow laugh. He stood and shook out his pelt, causing various leaves to flutter gently to the ground. "You shouldn't beat yourself up, you know." he said calmly, scratching at a burr that had made it's way into his pelt. "We all have weaknesses." he started. Then, he smirked. "Even I have them." The way he said it, one would think it was a joke.

He stepped out of the grassy pit, and stretched out his toes. He looked back at Asha. "Why haven't you changed your name yet?" He asked like it was the most obvious thing in the world. "Is it like, a sentimental thing?"

((starting to notice that Adders likes to scratch his ear when he's uncomfortable))

    --

Softpaw watched with a wince as Lillykit was brought back to the camp, wiggling in the jaws of the one and only Spiderleap. She sighed through her nose, making an almost annoyed sound. If the young kit kept this up, nobody would be able to catch a break around here. Had she done that when she had first gotten here? She probably had, not knowing any better. Your day will come. She thought at the kit, knowing Lillykit couldn't hear her. Sooner than you expect.

Addereyes nodded in understanding. He could see how hard clan-life could be to adjust to, especially if you were used to only a small group of cats. Softpaw had told him a bit about her life as a kittypet, and how the change had been for her, so he assumed Asha felt the same way. He laughed at the 'girly name' bit. "I don't think such a name would suit you either. I just sounds so... dainty." He chuckled. 'Dainty' was the last thing he would describe Asha as.

When she asked what her name would be, he actually cocked his head in thought. "Well, if you wanted something still close to your name, the prefix 'Ash' would work. Then again, I've never given any cat a name before." He shrugged. "If you are going to change it, it should be meaningful to you, not me." He smirked. This was one of those rare times where he stopped with his 'I hate everybody and everything' act and gave some mediocre advice.

Addereyes gave a half-smile, like the kind Mona Lisa would have if she were a cat. "I guess you're right. But sometimes, a queen has the authority to tell the leader what she'd like her kits' warrior names to be. Other times, a warrior could ask to change their name." He thought out-loud, looking at the sky. "Other times, names are inevitable." He laughed, hinting at his own name.

"You don't really need a warrior name to be one of us, you know, if you don't want one. Nobody's gonna judge." He said, looking down at her with a serious look. "Your name, your title, your choice." He smirked. Dang, did he love to smirk.

Addereyes followed Asha to the shadowy patch, flopping himself down beside her, and rolling onto his back. "In a way, yeah." He laughed. "Before that snake came around, my name was Bramblepaw." He winced at his own given name. "I was what, 7 moons when I asked to be renamed?" he questioned, trying to remember the exact details. His eyebrows furrowed in thought, and he pouted a bit. "Anyway, I guess Oakstar just thought naming me Addereyes would be funny and ironic, but I don't really mind." he shrugged. "So long as it's relevant to me." He smiled with his eyes closed. Peeking open one eye, he watched Asha scan the area, as if she were looking out for somebody. He smirked and cocked an eyebrow.
