Tailfall grinned happily, his feathery tail flicking back and forth. "Of course, M'lady." He purred, dipping his head low like Ruffles was a queen. Slowly turning around, the tomcat began to trot away.

Hunting really wasn't Ruffles' thing - watching was just fine though. And if she got dirt and grime wedged inbetween her paws... well that Tailfall guy had better be worth it! "Mm, yes. Of course." She grinned ever so slightly, letting the dappled light that streamed through the leaves play up her eyes.

((( New thread... you wanna make, or shall I? )))

Tinderpaw danced on his paws now, obviously itching to get started on the patrol. "Let's go...?" He asked tentively. Three warriors and an apprentice was plenty enough for a patrol. Besides - there wasn't really tension between any of the clans at the moment... or, not that Tinderpaw had caught wind of yet.

Koi was confused. Where was she supposed to go in all this ruckus? For a five moon old kit, it was a lot to process. The grown ups were talking - that was all she knew. They were talking about something important, and she was to stay out of their way. But right now, she really wanted someone to explain to her just what was going on!

"Momm-yyyy!" She called out, plopping down on the ground. "Where you go?" She was here just a moment ago, wasn't she? Koi licked her tortoiseshell fur while she waited.

'There she is!' Kio thought as her mother appeared in front of her. "Mmhmm!" She said, nodding her head vigorously. No one was taking her mother away from her now! "Let's play... uhh..." The tortie spaced out for a moment while thinking of a game to play. "Let's play the moss ball game!" It was a fun game that the kits played all the time back in the nursery. You just tossed a ball back and forth, until it broke apart. But by then, everyone was usually ready to start a new game.

Koi rolled her eyes at Wildberry, her sister. "C'mon, Berry, why don'tcha play with us?" In the tortie's opinion, Berry was always grumpy and really needed to wake up and experience the world. There was all this cool and amazing to see and do! "It'll be fun!" She offered up a smile. "We'll even let you start!"

Oh, no. Now there was five. That... that just wouldn't do. It was an odd number! "Y'know, on second thought, I'm going to get going... I think my mentor mentioned something about training in the morning..." The brown tabby tom began to skirt away, managing to avoid eye contact with the warriors. "Have fun on the patrol!" With those last words, he was gone, disappeared into the apprentice's den.

Koi imitated her mother and rolled her eyes as well, before their attention was commanded by the flying moss ball. Small scraps of moss flew off of it, and Koi could tell it wouldn't last long - it wasn't tightly compacted like the really good ones were. But it'd work for now.

The tortie stuck her rump in the air and wiggled it, bending her legs and getting ready to jump. When the time was right she did, though it wasn't necessary, and batted the ball as best she could back towards Storm.

Boy, was it a good day for a trek to the mountainous part of the territory.

There wasn't so much as a cloud in the sky when Ruffles and her new "boyfriend" Tailfall arrived, the sun having burned off any wisps in the sky long before. A soft, gentle breeze rustled the few short and scrubby trees that grew inbetween rocks, creating a very relaxing atmosphere.

"I don't go up here very often," Ruffles purred softly, coming to a halt next to a small patch of mountain flowers. "'Cause it's like, y'know, so like, far away 'n' stuff." It hadn't rained in a while though, so her paws had stayed mostly clean. Sure, there were a few smudges of dirt here and there, but nothing that she hadn't survived before.

Ruffles licked one cream paw and hoped gracefully onto a nearby rock, settling down. Yes, she had chosen the perfect spot for her and Tailfall to spend the after noon. Out here, all alone...

    Things could happen.

Bah, I'm sorry everyone. I hate it when life catches up to me. ???

    Cedar gets the rouge.
    Spotwings gets the female kit.

Congrats guys! Only the two rouge allies need to be filled now, and they're not really "essential" to the plot. It'd be easy to incorperate them though... maybe a lost sibling or something? You never know. :)

We're going to start the plot sometime in the next two to three days, I would assume. Can't wait! ^^

"Mmkays then!" Koi said. "You stay here, and I'll go find somemore moss." the tortoiseshell happily skipped off, hoping to stumble across some moss somewhere around camp. She wouldn't be able to explore beyond sight of the camp though - she was still technically a kit, and it really wasn't safe, especially with the unstable government the tribe had at the moment.

    Border patrol.

That was what Tinderpaw's mentor had told him to go do. He ditched the last group, chickened out really. There were just so many warriors... He would have easily been the youngest one there, by several moons. So the brown tabby trecked all the way out here in hopes of discovering a patrol buddy or something. Thunderclan was under their control... But you could really never be to careful.

So Tinderpaw sat and waited next to a stumpy pine tree with little vegetation surrounding it. The afternoon sun felt warm on his pelt, and he could hear birds chirping softly off in the distance. Ignore the obvious tensions between clans, and you got a moment of complete bliss.

Now if only there was someone to share it with...

    ((( Blek, sorry. >.< )))

Ruffles turned this thought over in her mind for a moment before replying. Thinking about her answers? Unheard of. "As long as I don't have to like, do it everyday I guess it's fine," She said in an airy tone. The view was very beautiful, but the cream colored queen didn't posses the intellegence to truly appreciate the awe of it.

"So, mhmhm, what do you do when you're not picking up gorgeous she-cats like myself?" Ruffles lowered her head and glanced up through her eyelashes, envoking a slightly mysterious tone. "I mean, a strong, handsom tom like yourself has to be doing sommmmething, yeah?" A devilish smile curled the sides of her lips as she spoke.

((( Nyah I've finally gotten around to making Koi's header... now I just have to upload it. :P Oh, and I forgot to say yes to the time skip. ^^)))

Koi meandered about camp for a while, but soon lost interest. Moss-ball only held a kit's attention for so long... as did everything else you placed in front of them. Maybe she could gather a group of other kits and to-bes to play hide-and-go-seek, or tag, or something. "Hellllooooo?" She called out in a rather high kit-squeal. "Anybody wanna play a game?" Koi didn't know a kit who didn't like games - oh wait, yes she did. Her own sister and several others in the tribe.

Maybe she would just play by herself for a while.

Awh, how cute - and typical. Ruffles wasn't expecting a remark any less than the one Tailfall had presented, and she gladly gobbled up the compliment. She practically lived off of compliments... the ones from other she-cats were great, but the ones from eligible toms were the absolute best. Ruffles giggled lightly, feeling an energy course through her. It was odd, a very strange sensation that she hadn't felt before.

And she knew exactly what it meant.

"I'm touched," She purred, looking straight at Tailfall. She tried to read his mind - was he thinking what she was? Did he know that she was still... new to those kinds of things? Did he even know how to do it... or... was he even good at it?

Oh yeah, this was what Ruffles worried about all the time. What a stressful, anxiety filled life.

As much as Ruffles wished it wasn't true, she was still a novice in this subject of dating. But therr was a first for everything, right? So why not make the first move? After all, 17Moon Magazine said that confidence was the number one sought after attributes in queens aged fifteen to thirty moons... Or something along those lines.

Small steps were key. There was no reason to ruin the moment, it would only spoil the atmosphere. So, step by baby step, she approached the tom. A sharp gust had to blow at that particular moment when she was leaning in to whisper something seductive to the tom. Being new-leaf, pollen was thick in the relatively thin mountain air. Allergies were Ruffle's worst nightmare during this season.

She drew back, feeling a sneeze attack, but wasn't quite fast enough. "Achoo!" She sneezed, spraying mucus into the air... And onto Tailfall.

    Smooth.

    Real smooth.
