The leaves at the edge of the clearing rustled. A battle scarred, lean muscular tom staggered in. He slumped on the ground. There was a snarl, and several foxes leaped over him. They started heading towards the nursery.

He looked down on her. ''Whats it to you?'' He snarled. ''Your just a kit. Your helpless.''

He unsheathed his claws and pounced.

''Well, I'll hunt.'' He replied. He bunched up his muscles and leaped out.

''Watch the language miss tough and fierce.'' He taunted. ''Your talking to the toughest, strongest, most vicious cat in my part. I'd think twice before challenging me.''

The fox yelped and turned his head around to sink his teeth into her shoulder. He tossed her against the rock. He hungrily advanced towards HollyStar's youngest kit. ''No! DarkSol yowled, reganing his strenghth. He bunched up his muscles and pounced at the fox with all his strenghth. The fox yelped with surprise and pain as they rolled out of the clearing and over the side of the gorge.

''I wont answer any questions kit!'' He snarled. And like i said, i'd think twice about confronting me! I was once BloodClan too!'' He caught her off gaurd and pounced at her.

As DarkSoul fell, he thought to himself why did i jump in like that? i guess im just too mousebrained- no dont say that! You saved HollyStar's kit. A helpless kit who just started life is more important than me. I did my duty, i- his thoughts were disrupted by a blinding flash of pain. His senses began ebbing away.
