I feel that I’ve been putting far more effort into these threads than you have, and it doesn’t feel fair to me. If you’re just not feeling it, then maybe we should call it off

It feels pointless to keep on trying to recreate what we had a year ago. If you’re not feeling it, you’re not feeling it. There’s not much of a point to forcing it.

I do want to say that those threads were so much fun, and I had a blast! I’m very happy to got to meet and roleplay with you

It’s been several months since Agent 8 joined inkling society on the surface. 4 and 8 quickly became roommates, while 3 has been out on their agent duties. No one has seen them for awhile. Some may be missing them more than others...

The plot will center around 3 and 8, with Agent 4 as the ultimate wingsquid. I’ll be 3 and 4, so you can go ahead and be 8. Fill in the character sheet with whatever headcanons you assign her. This must be female 8 btw. In regards to naming, you can give 8 whatever name you please. My headcanon names are rooted in a fictional language, but you don’t have to worry about that. Name them whatever you see fit.

Kiyone was running around the apartment frantically, rushing to pull herself together. “Shit! Shit! Shit! We’re gonna be late!” She cursed, foregoing the task of brushing her beak in favor of stuffing toast in her mouth while hopping around trying to get her shoes on.

Maybe if you’d just waken up earlier, you and your roommate wouldn’t be running late for your shift at grizzcos

“No time to put on real clothes, we can change into our uniforms later!” Kiyone exclaimed. She was talking so quickly she doubted Calypso could even understand what she was saying. That didn’t matter. Employees always had to change in and out of uniform in the locker rooms; you don’t get to take it home. That said, she felt no need to change out of her pajamas. What’s the point? “Here! Bread! Let’s go!” She stuffed toast in her roommates mouth before grabbing her hand and dragging her out of the apartment. It was a clumsy effort, but like heck was Kiyone gonna be late for the 4th time this month!

Another inkling with long orange tentacles was walking around with big white headphones on. Squid Squad blasting at full volume, they did not hear a pink inkling screaming for them to move aside. Not until it was too late anyways.

Kiyone was barely able to weave around the oblivious stranger, letting go of Calypso’s hand in the process. Calypso on the other hand...

Okay, here’s our thread!

We’ve got a lot to decide. Who shall play the edgelord, and who shall play the malasada boy? I usually end up as the edgelord, but I’m open to changing it up. Your thoughts?

Also, should we decide now on who should play as the secondary characters (i.e. waifu, captain staredown, professor six-pack, ya boi, big sis, thicc wicke, lucifer, tutu, etc), or just decide that as we go?

Lastly, plot ideas and prompts. You got any?

Hmm, I just have a general idea of how their relationship might start.

Gladion I feel would kinda have a lil gay panic once he begins to realize he’s caught some feelings. A classic case of denial. When he does get around to accepting himself, Lillie is the first person he comes out to. I like to think she’d then nominate herself a winggirl cuz her brother is a hopeless gay who cannot make a move to save his damn life.

Not everyone I’ve talked to likes this, but I do sometimes like to acknowledge and maybe even validate other competing ships. Hear me out.

In real life, most people don’t get it right on the first try. Dating is basically just one big game of trial and error before you find that someone who fits you just right. I sometimes imagine other ships being like ex crushes, ex lovers, or a small love triangle that took place. To me it creates a very interesting story of seeing these characters learn and grow from those experiences.

A good example is with Guzma. I imagine he loved, maybe even dated Kukui when they were young, had a falling out, was later used by Lusamine, and ultimately would end up with Plumeria. It gives a story of a man becoming vulnerable, being abused for it, and then learning to love and trust again so he could ultimately find happiness. I think this is an angle not many people in fandom ever consider, since we’re often caught up in ship wars n such.

The dynamics I’ve envisioned involving Haudion are as follows: Gladion most definitely likes Hau. He’s had a couple previous celebrity crushes, but that’s it on his end. I do acknowledge Hau liking Lillie towards the end of SuMo, tho in my mind she ends up rejecting him for Elio/Selene; whom had previously crushes on Ilima. Also Hapu liked Lillie too. You can’t tell me Hapu wasn’t a huge lesbian back there. Hau would be forced to recover from that blow, and eventually someone new would catch his eye. In this case, it’s Lillie’s cool looking brother.

Hau has trained with Ilima, and basically the entire island is gay for the prince. I’ve pictured before Gladion getting the wrong idea that Ilima might be into Hau and thus started picking some fights (I.e. Pokémon battles), but the reality is Ilima has no idea what Glads is even going on about and has no interest in Hau at all. It’s a completely one sided rivalry and it has the potential to be hilarious in my mind.

At the end of the game, Hau could be seen dancing with Acerola during the protag’s party. Even if it doesn’t interest me, I can see those two as a legitimate ship. You should note I have a generally very polite and respectful attitude towards most ships (save a few problematic cases). Flame wars just use up more energy than they’re really worth to me, so I don’t bother. Perhaps from Acerola’s perspective (Hau’s is completely up to you), this might’ve been like one of those one-off crushes. Those times when you meet a person, you feel attracted to them, you may lightly flirt with them, but you know it’s nothing that serious and you’ve moved on literally by the very next day. It’s a one-off. Just another trial and error experience in your journey.

Or Gladion and Acerola could have a legitimate rivalry for Hau’s affections as opposed to the completely one-sided one with Ilima. I dunno. How do you like love triangles?

Cool! So how about we go with the one sided rivalry? Perhaps by now, Gladion has accepted himself as gay, and though not 100% out, is now actively pursuing Hau.
