    Leopardpaw;;

    She walked along side Whitepaw to help him walk towards where the clan was gathering. She lowered her head as she smiled, genuinely happy to see a smile on Whitepaw's face again.

    Smoulderfur;;

    The she-cat flicked her tail as she sat below Sorrowstar's den, her eyes fixed on her leader.

    Smoulderfur;;

    The she-cat's chest puffed with pride as she padded over to Spiritpaw and lowered her head to be level with the apprentice. "It is my honor, Spiritpaw, to be your mentor," she said softly before touching noses with her.

    Leopardpaw;;

    She purred for Spiritpaw, a bright smile on her face. She turned to look to Whitepaw beside her and she noticed the excited look on his face. Her ears flicked back a bit. She didn't understand why she felt the way she did. Sadness ruffled her fur. She turned away and focused her eyes on Sorrowstar, she had to clear her head.

    Smoulderfur;;

    The warrior froze, he chose her as the new deputy? Smoulderfur stood and stepped up to Sorrowstar and dipped her head gratefully. "I am honored, Sorrowstar, and I will serve Runeclan to the best of my abilities and beyond as it's deputy," she meowed, her voice louder than it had ever been previously. Her tail twitched nervously. This was a huge responsibility but she was confident, at least part of her was, that she'd be able to handle the position.

    Smoulderfur;;

    She bowed her head to Sorrowstar, "At once." She smiled at Barkface, a light purr to her tone, "Thank you." She padded past Barkface only slightly and called out, "Barkface, Lightsky, Spiritpaw, Windspirit, Sandtree, the five of you will accompany me on a hunting patrol." She stood patiently, looking, almost, bigger than before as she waited for the cats to gather.

    Smoulderufr;;

    The she-cat was overwhelmed with the congratulations and cheers. She'd smiled gratefully at Dreameyes, but flicked her ears back in irritation at her comment. She hadn't planned on making a retort but upon hearing Spiritpaw she couldn't help but chuckle. A blessing and a curse... she sighed, knowing from the start that her being chosen would give her both friends and enemies. Turning to Barkface she nodded, "Let's be off." She turned and padded towards the camp entrance, looking to make sure the others were following. "Spiritpaw, Sandtree and myself will go along the western border. Barkface, you take Windspirit and Lightsky along the eastern border. We'll meet at the northern border and come back to camp down the middle of the territory. Understood?"

    Leopardpaw;;

    She jumped up at Whitepaw's words and nodded, "Yeah, let's get you back to the den and get you some more poppy seeds." She leaned against him and lowered her head a bit. His fur was so warm, her face itself began to heat up. She couldn't help herself but to think the way she did. She supposed this was as close to him as she'd ever be. Her ears flicked back for a moment. She'd seen how happy he was for Spiritpaw. He obviously liked her.. She shook her head and growled silently to herself, That will just make it easier to forget...

    OoC;;

    Sorry for the absence! I sorta speed-read so if I miss anything or anyone in my reply, sorry!

    Leopardpaw;;

    She smiled to Whitepaw, "Well, for now you need to rest. Maybe later today, when you're feeling better, we can go gather some catmint." She led Whitepaw into the medicine den and, upon seeing Ashwing, bowed her head. "Hi, Ashwing," she greeted. Leopardpaw had never gotten very close to her mentor but she respected the she-cat highly.

    Smoulderfur;;

    She trotted up alongside Barkface; she'd just caught and buried a rather large rabbit and turned to find him gone. She'd heard him mutter something about a kit. As she approached she, too, crouched low and flicked her ears back. "What do you suppose a kit is doing out here alone?" she asked quietly, her eyes raising from the kit to scan the border. For all she knew, this was a trap.

    Sparrowfeather;;

    The sleek she-cat wiggled in place. Maybe she'd get an apprentice today! Hardly able to contain herself, Sparrowfeather's tail lashed side to side, flicking Foxtail every now and again. She looked to the kits who had approached the tree. Any one of them might be her new apprentice!

    Foxtail;;

    He yawned softly as he watched the ceremony. He already had Dancingpaw, and he doubted that he'd have two apprentices put on him. The first flick of Sparrowfeather's tail was hardly noticed, but by the 30th time his ears were back and his eyes were closed, trying his hardest not to snap on the younger warrior. She was excited, could he blame her?

    Leopardpaw;;

    The apprentice was a little surprised by Ashwing's outburst, her ears perked curiously. "Carmat? So, it's used like a poultice? Not eaten like poppyseeds.." she wondered aloud. Turning to Whitepaw, she observed his leg with her voice still pointed to Ashwing, "Do you think it will help the soreness in his leg? I think it's just a fracture."

    Smoulderfur;;

    She didn't like that this kit had just appeared out of no where. She flicked her tail, the tip lightly brushing against Barkface's side. "She doesn't smell like any other clan, the nearest clan is very far away... It's possible that a rogue dropped her off on our territory hoping she'd have a better life," she whispered. Her eyes were distant as she stared off through the dead trees. This scene was all too familiar to her... "Icekit," she spoke softly as she lowered to her belly, "you're going to come with us, okay? We'll keep you safe." She flicked her ears back, her fur bristling a bit, as she leaned down and licked the nape of the kit's neck, "Does that sound good to you?"

    Leopardpaw;;

    She followed Ashwing curiously, her eyes narrowed as she watched intently. As her mentor applied the poultice her own front paws were rubbing against eachother and an invisible object in a fluid motion as if she were applying it herself. When Ashwing spoke, Leopardpaw turned her attention to Whitepaw, wondering how it felt.

    Foxtail;;

    The tom nodded to Sequoiastar, "I will gladly take Tsunamipaw as well." His ears flicked back and forward. Two apprentices might make him feel just a tad younger and heck, he enjoyed mentoring.

    Sparrowfeather;;

    The young she-cat had sat there, giddily waiting for the mentors to be assigned. Then her name wasn't called. She began to droop with every pairing made. Maybe next time..I'm just not ready for an apprentice. She smiled half-heartedly as she looked around the crowd, waiting to congratulate the others.

    Smoulderfur;;

    She gently lifted the kit by the nape of his neck, looking to Barkface. Her tail flicked towards camp, signaling for him to follow. Her ears flicked towards Spiritpaw and Lightsky, gesturing to them the same. With Icekit in her soft jaws she turned and began a fast trot back to camp.

    Once they reached the entrance she set Icekit down and turned to Barkface. "Get a search party together while I speak to Sorrowstar. I want that other kit found," her eyes narrowed on the large tom.

    Foxtail;;

    Smiling, the bulky tom strode over to Tsunamipaw, his chest puffed with pride, and leaned down to touch noses with the young apprentice. "Congrats, tomorrow we start training, Tsunamipaw," he said with a smile in his voice.

    Sparrowfeather;;

    The she-cat's eyes darted around the crowd to make sure no one was watching before she made a move. The slender tortoiseshell darted out of camp, hopefully without attracting attention. She sighed and flicked her tail this way and that. Sure she was a backup for Featherwhisper...but until the medicine cat either died or stepped down before Sludgepaw's training was complete...that meant she was a warrior until such time.

    "Maybe I'm not ready for an apprentice..." she sighed, "Too young, to naive, to kit-tish?" She muttered to herself as she walked, not really paying attention to where she was going. She supposed it didn't matter where she ended up as long as she didn't leave the territory and returned to camp before anyone really noticed she was gone.
