Mark glanced at the floor board, lost in his own thoughts...."she was only 5 years old." He leaned his head back against the seat and closed his eyes. "I'm sorry...I didn't mean to hurt anyone...it all happened so fast..."

I like it.
-
"I'm in a lot of trouble, aren't I?"
-
Mark glanced out the window then stared at the floor board. He needed a cigarette so bad now.
-
good question...Who should it start with?
-
Mark sat against the wall in the back of the cell. He pulled his knees to his chest and rested his head on them. Images of his little girl's smile filled his mind. "I will find out who did this to you!! That's a promise!!" He sighed, remembering her laugh. "I'm so sorry I wasn't there for you." Tears slid down his face. He wished so bad that he could just fall over dead. He glanced toward the grey ceiling. "This is a fine mess I've gotten myself into." He forced a smile. "If only you could see me now, Bree." He leaned his head against the wall as tears streaked his face. "I'm sorry..." he whispered.

(I want to add Michael to my cast of characters. Like summer, he doesn't have a last name. His power is Fire. He's been on some field missions, but he's still learning. He is the maintenance guy. He keeps all the machines and computer systems running good.)
IC: Terry stood on the river bank watching the water beat against the shore line.
-
Mark pulled a razor blade out of his sock. He flipped it over and glanced at it. Brianna's memories flooded his mind again. "Brianna!!!" He screamed her name so loudly, it echoed through the jail house. "Ahhhhh!!!!" he covered his ears and fell on the floor.....
-
Mark wiped the tears from his face and sniffled. He put the razor blade against his arm. His hands were shaking and he sighed. He took a deep breath and threw the blade against the other wall. He screamed out again and leaned his head back, sweat beaded on his forehead and slid down his face.....
-
Mark sat down in the sand and examined his ankle. Terrie walked over to him.
"Are you..."
"I'm fine. Go see if Chris needs anything else."
She knodded and walked off. -
Mark narrowed his eyes at the inmate, but he didn't say anything.
-
Michael tightened a screw in one of the storm cruisers. "That should do it." He thought. "And now, to test it out." He sat down in the seat and turned the ignition. It started right up.
"sounds like its running smooth." Summer said, walking up to him.
"Like a charm." He smiled.Terry paced around outside. "Something is not right." He glanced around. "Someone is watching us, but why and who?" He glanced over at Chris and Allie. He sighed, trying to calm his nerves.
-
Terrie walked back up the Chris. "Can I help in any way?" she asked.
-
Mark grabbed the razor blade and pressed it against his arm again. He took a deep breath. "I wasn't a good father, Bree. I couldn't keep you safe." He cut his arm with the blade.
-
"Somebody is watching the academy." He said to her. "I don't know who, but I know they're there." He glanced once more toward the woods.
-
Mark watched the blood trickle down his arm. He sighed as he though about Brianna again. She had cut her arm on a piece of glass, and he had panicked because she was bleeding so bad. He screamed out again. He made another cut in his arm. "Why did you have to go away?" He screamed her name again.
-
"That's a big patch of woods," Terry said. "I don't think we can search the entire area, so lets just keep a look out for a while.." He turned and headed back toward the academy.
-
Mark was laying in the floor beside the wall. He was quite, staring at a fixed spot in the floor. "I'm sorry..." He whispered. He held the bloody razor blade in his hand.....He sighed and closed his eyes.
-
For a moment, Mark slept. He was disturbed by the slambing of a cell door. He raised up and glanced around.
-
Mark couldn't sleep that night. All he could do was think about her...dream about her....she was everywhere....He sighed. Then all of a sudden he screamed out again, waking the other inmates...
