Heya, this is the first time i used photoshop so tell me what you think!

Malicepaw sat patiently at the Sandy Hollow. He was waiting for his mentor, FrostLeopard, as patiently as he could. He got up and walked about a bit. He took a stance. His target? A leaf. He started to stalk it, giving it his best stealth crouch. When he was a tail length away, he pounced, landing right on the leaf, tearing it to shreds.

Malicepaw swung around to see his mentor. How could he have not smelled him? Malicepaw felt himself bitter and a bit embarrassed that he did not smell Frostleopard coming up. He went up to Frostleopard and sat in front of him. He had something on his mind. He laughed at the thought.

Malicepaw froze in mid-laugh. He can't think about that now. "What are we to learn today?" he asked his mentor.

when are the kits due?

Malicepaw nodded frequently. He was trying to forget what was on his mind. Forget, forget, forget! he thought hopelessly. He kind of laughed at his mentor. Of course I know how to hunt! he laughed in his head. He yawned. He dropped into the hunting crouch and moved steadily forward.

um where do you live (i don't want specifics but if you live in the us, i'll be asleep by the time the kits are born)

Malicepaw flicked his head to where he heard his name. He padded quickly over. "Sunstripe!" he mewed happily. His love. "I'm in the middle of training. Can this wait?" He was concerned what was so important that she had to interrupt his training.

Malicepaw fluffed out his chest at his mentor's comment. He quickly noticed that Sunstripe was still there. She looked troubled. "What's the matter?" he mewed once again.

Malicepaw would have fallen over if even a feather touched him. He just froze in place. This can't be happening! he thought helplessly. He just became an apprentice! How on earth was he going to be able to raise kits? Sure he loved Sunstripe but kits was pictured farther off in his future.

Malicepaw saw Sunstripe's tail droop. He touched her shoulder. "Hey," he mewed comfortingly. "The kits will be beautiful just like you. I just know it." He looked back at Frostleopard who was looking at him expectantly. "You should go now," Malicepaw whispered to Sunstripe. "I have to train."

Malicepaw sat and sighed. Being a father would not be easy. He shook his head, he needed to train. He focused his eyes on Frostleopard. "What else to learn?" he mewed.
