"Any sort of a bigger problem than we've got now?" Lawrence responded, a sardonic note in his voice as he eyed Anna warily. "Ta be fair, ya both did this to yerselves you know. An' ya didn't even give me a straight answer as ta why it happened or what happened," he growled quietly, grimacing when he stepped back into a puddle of blood. Medic was still out cold and seemed to be getting worse because the cut was still open and bubbling up with more blood. Lawrence honestly had no idea what to do for that. When he was younger and he got cut, his mum would just clean it out and bandage it. He guessed that this was a bit more intricate, but it had to have a few of the same principles, right? "Whatever other problems we have can wait. Someone, get the bloke's glasses," he said with a sigh, pointing down to where Medic's glasses lay with blood spattered over the lenses.

"But we can't just..." Lawrence's voice died away before he finished the sentence, nodding towards Spy when he moved the glasses. He opened his mouth to say something else when suddenly the strange men filed in, asking for Anna. "And jus' wot d'ya want with her, now?" He hissed, switching gears from being upset and overwhelmed to protective and just plain angry. "Ya have exactly three seconds ta get yer white-tailed carcasses outta here," he warned when they advanced, unsheathing his kukri. "If you hurt her, so help me I swear..." He threatened in a low voice, but it was defeated by the fact that it was wavering and the tip of his kukri was trembling.
-
"If ya are takin' her," Lawrence said, gaining his composure and staring down the tip of the blade straight at the man's face. "Then at least don't take such joy in it," he spat in disgust, a fiery glint in his eyes. Regardless, though, he backed off slightly. "The only reason I'm backin' off is cause yer not gonna keep'r from us. We're gonna find wherever ya take'r. We'll track ya to the ends of the earth, an' then we'll go even further," he hissed quietly, a new sort of determination apparent in his voice and posture. "Cause these people? They're th'only real family I've got, even if they're all bloody insane," his gaze flickered between Anna and Medic, and he took note that the German was still breathing, but it was labored and thick. He wanted to listen to what Anna said, but he couldn't stand to see anyone suffering for so long. When he was done with the current situation, he'd figure out something to do. He had to.

There really are...

Lawrence glanced around the room, biting his lip. He'd been so good at holding the tears back, but one or two escaped. His face still showed rage though and he didn't fully lower his kukri. "I don't think you understand," he said, a more detectable waver in his voice. "We...we can't die...We can't die!" He exclaimed as though just realizing it himself. "You can kill us over and over again but we'll keep coming back and pickin' off more of you white-coated bastards 'till there's only one left!" He said, raising the kukri towards the 'leader'. "You. And d'ya know why, mate? 'Cause I wanna make ya suffer. I wanna make ya suffer fer tryin' to tear apart the family I've worked so hard to gain," the corners of his mouth twitched down but he attempted to keep it in a straight line, working so hard to retain his composure. He glanced back at Mars who was standing over Medic and caught her eye. 'Get him out of here. Run,' he mouthed to her silently. With that, he let out an angry cry and lunged out with the huge knife to a man in a white coat next to him.
-
For a moment, Lawrence was too stunned to react. He'd just killed a man. But he didn't dwell on this long as he heard the sound of a gun behind him. He dodged the unsuccessful shot with ease and pivoted on a foot, kicking the gun from the other man's hands before advancing with the kukri. He gritted his teeth and there were tears streaming down his face as he let out a strangle cry of rage. Not insanity, as it would appear. He wasn't insane. He defended his friends to the end, even if that meant breaking the law.
"I...can hear you...." The pain in his side had roused Medic, and lying on the opposite side had slowed the blood flow somewhat. He didn't open his eyes though, his eyelids felt too heavy. He was surprised he had even formed a coherent, English sentence, though it was barely below a whisper and slightly choked. There was a part of his brain still inwardly screaming and breaking down, but he physically couldn't do anything because of the injury. It made him feel so weary, and every one of his limbs felt numb and rock-like. The only thing he could register were the white-hot pains disabling him. It was probably for the best he was incapacitated, though. He was on the verge of a breakdown he couldn't stop.

Medic groaned when he felt himself sliding off her shoulder and the wound in his side was stretched, but he literally had no strength to fight back. He sighed loudly, realizing he'd been holding his breath the entire time and only then just realized what Mars had said. "I...am...not crazy..." He mustered with what he had left of his sensibility. But the shock was over now. It wasn't a war with anyone else now so much as it was a war with himself. No, it wasn't a war with himself. It was a war with Fritz. Not him. He barely even registered the medigun coming on and Mars leaving before muttering nonsense in German under his breath, among that slipping in the occasional 'she knows' and laughing weakly. Everything hurt, but the pain was keeping him grounded to an extent. Literally, as well. "Festhalten," he called quietly when he finally noticed her leaving. "Turn...off...respawn...bitte," he said, peering at the medigun with blurred vision. All he had to do was turn that and respawn off, and he could kill Fritz. For good, this time. Oh, he would never be coming back. Never.

In the short time after Mars' leave, Medic had managed to turn the medigun off. He didn't want the wound healed, the pain kept him grounded. It kept him under control. It not much then at least, it had slowed down the bleeding. When Penumbra had entered, he was down on the floor with his knees drawn up to his chest and muttering something incomprehensibly. On the wall he was leaning against, two words were scrawled in what looked like his own blood.
She knows
He almost didn't notice when Penumbra had entered, only acknowledging it with the flicker of a glance before turning back to stare out into space. In the rafters above, the three doves eyed the newcomer warily, cooing noisily as if they were warning Medic. After a few moments, he seemed to take actual notice of Penumbra. "Tag," he said in a distant, singsong voice, not registering a word of what the other man had said. -
