I sadly don't have any advice for you, since I am a straight female with a wonderful boyfriend, but I did want to tell you that I support you and that we do have some similarities. I am a huge tomboy. I am not a fan of dresses and skirts. Although I do end up wearing them when I get excited for warm weather. xD Anyway, I bite my nails down to the roots, which means I can't paint them, of course. I wear mostly black and gray band shirts with skinny jeans and boots or sneakers. I wear dark eyeliner and my hair is naturally almost black with a little bit of an emo fringe. In a nutshell, I'm a little bit of an emo. I put on a flowery skirt once and a bright orange shirt and said, "Wow, I actually look like a girl for once!" causing my parents to laugh their asses off.
So, it's not weird to be tomboyish. And I personally think it's okay to question your gender when society puts all this fucking bullshit pressure on us girls to be pretty and dainty and not think for ourselves. And guys always feel like they have to be the dominant, sporty asshole that all the girls love. But I don't know why you question your gender exactly, and maybe you don't either. Maybe it's because of what I said above, but maybe not. And I strongly support the LGBT community because they embrace who they are, and I really admire that.
